This service is a mess and their senior move specialists are pretty bad. The first person I talked with was a sales representative who was very responsive and answered questions quickly. The person I got handed off to was unexperienced, did not care about my pet, and did not care about my particular situation in moving. This caused a number of headaches during the move and the back and forth with the move consultant took more time than it would have taken me personally flying back and forth to ship my dog. Yes, that's right, I would have saved time and money by flying across the country and using a checked dog service than dealing with Worldcare Pet Transport. They charge an exorbitant amount for doing the bare minimum. Look elsewhere for pet transportation. read more

Horrible service, worst we ever had. We are ex-pats and have traveled around the world with our pets. This company is by far the worst of all! Lack of communication, we have no idea where our puppy was. The last person we heard from was the breeder who kindly sent us a message and a short video. After about 7-8 hours, we called, texted and email all the people listed as "contact" with this company, no one replied. It took them more than 8 hours to reply with a simple text. Someone we never even heard from. The next day, once our puppy landed in Madrid the driver who brought her from the airport got lost and went to 2 different houses before he finally arrived. He only said hola then put the crate on the street (did not ask for our ids or any identity information) and left. Like I said pretty much the worst. I would avoid them if possible. read more

just completed our pets travel with World Pet Transport. EWR to ARN. The initial experience was great. Laura was in contact with us - answered questions and we felt confident that we were in good hands. In the last four days leading up to departure - the paperwork became a nightmare to track. We paid $8000.00 to ship 2 pets and we expected World Care to handle everything. It was less than acceptable service at the end. On a positive note: The vet that they recommended for the USDA check was VERY VERY good. So a thumbs up for that. BUT they did not have all the paperwork. The World Care person who was meeting us at the vet also did not have a strong understanding of the paperwork that she needed from us - to take for final processing. It was not a smooth transaction at all because of World Care not knowing what was needed.... But again - Dr. Guzman at Assisi Vet Clinic was tremendous! If you are in the NYC area - feel confident in using him. Also - at the beginning of the process - you of course need to figure out what size crate your pet needs. We have a large greyhound. 88 lbs. He needed the 700 series or XL crate. Laura our rep. INSISTED that we also needed to purchase the 4 inch wooden extension kit - an additional charge of course. On the day of pick up - the driver was 2 hours late. The initial time was set for 12:45pm at Newark airport. We then confirmed for a pick up time at the house between 12noon and 1pm. She did not show up until after 2pm. This of course let to rush and chaos. The driver is suppose to put the crate and extenders together. Upon seeing the dog and making note of the time - she opted that the extenders were not needed.... And also told us that it would most likely not fit on the plane with the extenders. I found this very upsetting as I had specifically emailed Laura to ensure that the crate with extenders would fit on the plane. SO now a change of plans - as they did not have enough time to assemble it - because they were late. Now suddenly it was "OK" for the dog not to have the crate extenders.... There were also copies of paperwork that the driver was suppose to give to us - that she did not have. Because the transport was late - and we could not leave for the airport on time - our car rental was returned late - causing additional fee's. World Care would not reimburse us. Having gone through the process .... I do not feel as if I would use a service (or at the least WORLD CARE PET TRANSPORT) again. I had just as much aggravation in the days leading up to the flight trying to make sure all the loose ends were taken care of. I paid a lot of money for seamless service. That was just NOT the case when it came down to the most important part of the trip - travel day. I am very thankful that our dog arrived safely. I feel like I could have made all of these arrangements myself via United Airlines and a USDA vet. We also hired Scandipet to help get the dog through customs in Sweden. This went perfectly. If you have the time - My advise would be to work with a USDA vet. A large airline such as United etc - and hire a company in what ever country you are going to as far as ensuring what is needed for them the clear customs and have them get them through. In some countries this may or may not be the best advise. Sweden was pretty straight forward on what they needed. World Care Pet Transport talks a good talk - but when it counted - they dropped the ball on seamless customer service. read more

We basically went into this move terrified of flying our dog and some of the COVID airline restrictions made us even more notice. From our first call with our relocation specialist, Rebecca, we knew the experience would be the best possible for Mosi. Rebecca introduced herself with pictures of her own pet and encouraged photos and information about Mosi's personality off the bat, so we never felt like Mosi was being treated as 'freight' - she responded to our questions immediately and even managed our vet closely when our vet missed some key steps ahead of travel. During travel, she coordinated a number of different players to make sure we always knew Mosi's status, and it was a relief to get updates on even little questions like whether Mosi was drinking water. Dear WorldCare Pet, We all arrived in our new home in Michigan safely and together in no small measure due to your help. After we arrived, a friend back in London sent me a copy of a review of your business that she had found. If I had read it before we moved our two Labradors and parrot I think I might not be in Michigan, as I would have had to stay in London with our animals! I cannot imagine such a thing ever having happened with WorldCare Pet. You were terrific with us and truly concerned for the welfare of our pets. Lisa was our Pet Relocation Counselor and she was very clear and detailed with information on the moving of our precious cargo. She was great! She answered emails and got right back to me if she wasn't available when I called with questions. I called a lot. I could rarely get the company moving our household goods to explain anything. Fortunately, our container of goods arrived in good shape despite the usual dings and man handling of furniture. Our dogs and parrot arrived in tiptop shape and greeted us with the usual barking and squawking. Lisa followed up on all my questions and gave me timely details on the move. She even caught an error on our parrot's health certificate and was able to get a corrected report delivered days ahead of the move. It seems as though she must have been reviewing all the information as it came to her otherwise she never would have caught someone else's error in enough time to get it fixed. When travel day arrived Lisa gave us regular updates and the door to door service was smooth and seamless. We are grateful for the service but we are even more grateful that Lisa and the other staff members we interacted with were so kind. You not only like animals at WorldCare Pet but you seem to understand the anxiety that we pet owners endure when we have to put our pets under stress by having them moved around the world. I cannot thank World Care pet enough for all of thier assistance and help in my recent move, and would highly recommend them to anyone else on this site who is relocating! After learning I would be transferred overseas my first reaction was how would I safely bring my dog Sawyer and two cats Tommy and Edward along with my family. As I was relocating across the globe (to Singapore) I was nervous about figuring out how to get all three boys there safely. After researching multiple companies I decided to go with World Care Pet Transport. It was the right choice! World Care was with me every step of the way! Going into this process I had no idea of all the paperwork and coordination that would be involved. Such as having proper immunization records, international quarantine policies, and finding short term boarding. Right from the start I was assigned an agent who explained all my options as well as took care of all the extensive paper work, found them temporary boarding in an excellent facility. Being in the middle of relocating for work, I was very stressed and had a lot going on. The last thing I wanted was to have to worry about how my pets were going to move with me. WorldCare arranged for all of my pet's health certificates to be endorsed, and even sent me pre-completed export forms that I would require. All I had to do was go to the vet! Thank you WorldCare for making my pets transportation the easiest part of my relocation. Honestly, I was a little upset when I was informed that going into Singapore my pets would have to go to quarantine for ten days. The WorldCare representative I spoke with did a great job to ease my concerns by letting me know they would keep me updated while my pets were in quarantine, and even let me know I could go visit them while they were at the quarantine facility (which made me VERY happy). During the trip, WorldCare Pet Transport kept me constantly on their exact location and how they were doing! At one point during the trip there was severe weather and their plane was delayed for over 2 hours. I felt so helpless and apprehensive of what would happen. However, a World Care agent was on site and took my three guys for a nice walk around the airport pet facility as soon as their flight landed. they even sent me a postcard! They kept their word on keeping me updated throughout Sawyer, Edward and Tommy's quarantine stay. They were recommended to us by our vet's office and were about $2000 cheaper than the other company we were considering. Their service is top-notch and they are so attentive and informative, I always felt like I was in great hands. I worked with Melissa to get a quote and she answered all of my questions thoroughly and promptly. Giulia was our assigned consultant and she set up a time to have a call and walk me through the process, then sent follow up emails and texts throughout the rest of the process. Worldcare Pet moved our dog to Dubai, and we had a wonderful experience. Our dog arrived safe and sound...even happy. His tail was wagging, he was clean, and he hugged the attendant who dropped him off. When Argus arrived in Chicago, when he got clearance to fly, when he made it to his layover in Amsterdam and when he was about to go through customs in Dubai. After university and several years of residence, I made the big decision to move from London back to my native United States for a job transfer into NYC with my faithful dog in tow. You may hear that the hardest part about moving is leaving your life behind, but I can say without a doubt the hardest part is bringing your entire life with you. This goes double for when you have a family to worry about, which in my case was my 1 furry friend Willis. Luckily, I had WorldCare to help. My employer had assigned a relocation company and a set budget for shipping my household items. What worried me was how to get my 75lb Bernese Mountain Dog over the Atlantic safely. While my material possessions were replaceable, Willis was obviously the exception. He had been my roommate and buddy through thick and thin by this point and I needed to make sure that he would be safe during transit. The idea of him hot and crammed between luggage at 30,000 feet was disheartening. Not to mention, I hadn't the slightest clue on how to arrange travel for a dog. I asked my relocation company for a solution and they referred me to Worldcare. I looked up Worldcare online and found their website which gave useful information on pet travel and included some pretty impressive testimonials. Being unfamiliar with "pet transport", I felt the need to call that night and check it out. I used the information listed and called Reece McDonnell, the owner of the company. He was very pleasant and charismatic about Willis's upcoming move providing plenty of info upfront about the logistics and costs. Reece was clear that while their services are not the cheapest, they would spare no expense nor effort to ensure unparalleled service for Willis's safe and comfortable move. Realizing his sincere compassion for pet ownership, I easily made the decision to go with Worldcare and informed Reece that I would need a quote for my employer's approval. He was happy to provide this service via email without charge. The next afternoon, I received a call from a Worldcare pet relocation counselor. The young lady I spoke with was very knowledgeable and assured me that Willis's move was one that their company was well-versed in. Best of all, she informed me on how Willis would be riding separately from luggage in the pet cargo area of the plane which is temperature controlled. I was then talked through the steps of the move which included getting health and import documents plus veterinary treatments needed for Willis's journey. Once again, I was not familiar with flying pets and had virtually no idea what these requirements were. However, the counselor mentioned that their service included handling this and that they could even have someone pick up Willis prior to his travel for the vet visit. This sounded extremely convenient and proved to be. A few days later my employer approved the quote and Willis's travel plans were booked. About a week before flight, Willis was picked up and brought to and from the vet by a pleasant Worldcare partner while I was left free to continued the daunting task of packing. I was also provided a travel kennel so Willis could acclimate to it. When the day arrived, he was picked up again bright and early and brought to the airport. I flew out 2 days after, so it was arranged for him to be delivered to my parents who live in Manhattan. While I was back home finishing up the final touches to my own move, I received multiple pleasant calls from my same Worldcare counselor who updated me on Willis's every step from departure and arrival to when he literally arrived at my parent's doorstep. I was also provided an itinerary, but found I didn't need it as Worldcare was clearly monitoring Willis's journey closely and kept me up to speed throughout. My parents informed me that Willis arrived happy, looking better than most humans after a Trans-Atlantic jaunt, then immediately set to shedding all over their furniture as he is known to regularly do. I arrived a few days later to find him healthy, in good spirits, and ready for his new home. I highly recommend Worldcare for any who are due to make a work related move like mine. It wasn't until I spoke with their counselor that I realized how complex the process of moving a pet internationally was. I have no doubt that they saved me hours of work and worry while providing Willis with tons of care. As part of my corporate relocation from New York to London, WorldCare Pet was authorized to take care of relocating our two cats too. Our primary contact person was in the U.K. and took care of the entire process, getting the paperwork ready, booking the flight, organizing the transport to and from the airports as well as the final vet check before leaving the U.S.. Throughout the door to door process, we were kept updated on where the boys were and what would come next. All in all, my wife and I were very pleased with the service and professionalism provided. We felt very comfortable leaving our two boys in WorldCare Pet's hands and both cats were in excellent condition upon arrival. My dog and cat arrived happy and healthy in London after traveling from MN, USA. Worlcare Pet staff were thorough, competent, and organized. Communication was consistent throughout the entire process (mostly email but also phone/Skype). Although expensive, it was the cheapest option we found (especially with door to door service). Be prepared to pay some additional costs for vet appointments, and allow yourself time to do so. I did lots of research about the process beforehand and I think this helped me understand the paperwork better. International pet travel can seem daunting and scary, but I believe this company did everything they could to make the journey easy on all of us. read more

I moved to the US a couple of years ago, and I was shocked to find out that the company I had such a positive experience with has received only such negative reviews. WorldCare Pet Transport made the move of my dog far more comfortable than what I would have expected. Here's my story: Moving from the UK to the US was definitely something that I was not ready for. My mom was relocated to CT for her job so it was time to pack up our life when I was 18 years old. Bentley, my Italian Greyhound, was our biggest concern when we were moving. He is a very special part of the family and isn't very big. We were a little concerned with him having to travel in an airplane and especially concerned with him getting lost in transit. Our relocation company set me up with WorldCare Pet Transport. From the initial phone call I knew that Bentley was going to be in great hands and that he would arrive safely. My "Pet Relocation Counselor", as she called herself, contacted me, explained to me the entire process, how the documentation would be handled and how Bentley would be returned to me unscathed. My counselor took complete control of making sure all the documentation was in order for Bentley to travel and organizing a door to door move that involved picking up Bentley from the temporary accommodations we had in the UK to bringing him directly to my doorstep in CT. Without a doubt, WorldCare made what could have been a very stressful time for our pet into a fun adventure. I received a picture of Bentley just before getting on the airplane and updates once his flight departed and arrived. This was by far the best experience I could have had moving Bentley. read more

I bought a puppy free just $400.00 for transportation.I just said I'm interested and next morning they called me and said your female dog is at Worldcare pet transport. we sent a email with the instructions. we had to buy a vanilla reload card and take pics to the card and send to them. They call me several time (pushing) to buy the card. I went and recharged the card for 400.00, but my wife check the online, saw bad reviews. We had time to cancelled the card. Later they sent a fake document. We deleted everything from them. These guys are frauds, and they play on the love that people have for animals. STAY AWAY, you will get robbed. read more

I used them to transport my two pets to SE Asia. First of all their quote was almost 50 percent more than other quotes. I assumed the premium price means premium service. Not at all. The staff it turns out is inexperienced and not really committed. In other words you are not working with the owner. Then when it was time to pick my pets up for a 16 hour flight they sent a car service with someone who knew nothing about animals and was actually allergic to them. For the money they were supposed to send staff. Although after some help by neighbors my pets did arrive safely, I would avoid them if possible. read more

We have just completed moving our two large dogs and cat from Los Angeles to the U.K. With Worldcare Pet Transport via Lufthansa. We were assigned Dominique as our primary contact. Our experience with this company has been excellent from start to finish. Dominique is extremely knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble and no question went answered. We also found the extended WPT teams on the ground in the U.S. and U.K. to be helpful and efficient. We received detailed and specific instructions re documentation and preparation and were clear on our responsibilities re appointments and timing during the process. WPT liaised with our vet to organize virtually all the paperwork and coordination. It's obviously a nerve racking experience yet during travel time Dominique and the team kept us fully updated throughout the journey, regardless of time zones, with photos, texts and emails to track the progress of our furry family. Our animals arrived safe and well and are settling into their new home. They are happy and appear unphased by the whole experience. Well below average experience, to say the least. When you transport internationally, you have to know that they will use a string of 'subcontractors' in the destination country to take care of the local airport pickup and boarding of your per until you get there, which is always questionable, because there is a lot of 'he said she said' when something goes wrong. My Boston Terrier arrived almost dead to his destination (severely emanciated, after I repeatedly communicated to the company that the dog's food intake needs to be monitored because he might stop eating when he is under stress). The dog had blood in his urine and failing kidneys after just a week in care of this company. NOT recommended. read more

I have two golden retrievers, Cosmo and Luna who were happily delivered to my residence in London a few days ago. WorldCare Pet Transport has been a blessing to me as well as my pets. My move was from Miami, Florida to Connecticut and the pet transport was the easiest and most stress free part of my trip! Although I have a small lap dog, Buddy tends to be very aggressive especially with new people around. He hates car rides and especially hates his travel carrier. My Pet Relocation Counselor was very sweet, and helped us acclimate Buddy to his travel carrier before his trip. She responded to my emails within hours, and even helped me on weekends when I had questions. We were shipped Buddy's travel carrier weeks in advance so that he could become accustomed to it. Everything from documentation to explanation was perfect. I was emailed a trip itinerary for Buddy about a week and a half before his flight, which clearly outlined where my best friend was going to be at all times. I also received the best gift of all, updates throughout travel on where he was as well as two postcards with his pictures before departure in MIA and after arrival in New York! The people who also collected Buddy were very sweet. They helped me get him in the travel carrier and assured me that nothing was going to happen to him. The lady who delivered Buddy to my new residence was also very sweet. All around, my experience was great with this company, and I plan to use them again when I relocate out of the country. We arrived in San Francisco from Sydney today to find Archie (our golden retriever) waiting for us with tail wagging! I must say WorldCarePet sure knows its business. I can't tell you how grateful we were that Reece (the owner of WorldCarePet) kept us informed of Archie's status throughout the move. We couldn't have done it without him! I don't think there's anyone that cares more about pets or knows how to transport them better than he does. My only regret is that I wish I knew someone who needed a pet mover. Moving my three dogs...Bailey, Riley and Pippin...from Connecticut to the UK with World Care Pet turned out to be the most stress-free experience I could have imagined! Thanks to a reference from my veterinarian, I didn't have to do a lot of upfront research and a tremendous amount of fact-finding. I was pointed right to World Care Pet. Which was the perfect start because the move itself was very daunting for me. From the time I called Brian to advise him of my needs, I received prompt, professional attention--whether by phone or email--as to exactly what the process was going to involve and what I could do on my end to make it as smooth as possible (orienting the dogs to their crates ahead of time was wonderful. Not a scintilla of anxiety.) Laura Moorhouse was my counselor and she was totally reassuring during the entire event. I was traveling separately, so it was a bit nerve wracking for me. However, every step of the way, I was kept up to date with what was going on. From the time Helen picked them up at my house, to their overnight stay in Newark, to their transport out to the cargo hold at JFK the next morning for their flight...everything went smoothly. One of my older dogs needed medication every 24 hrs and I was most concerned about him (when he finally arrived, he was actually better than when he left!) Once they landed at Heathrow, I was again kept fully informed as they were unloaded, passing through customs, checked by the vet and loaded on to the van for the final leg of their trip. I had already arrived the previous day and was waiting to greet them in Dorset...normally a 3 hr ride from London. They arrived at 7 pm and I knew the driver must have been caught in Friday rush hour traffic because it took 4 hours. What I expected to see was three very stressed out pooches. What I got was a happy greeting, lots of kisses and they were so relaxed. This is indeed the way to go. This is not an easy process as I came to learn, and I couldn't imagine trying to do it on my own. I wouldn't have had the time to take care of all the details nor the means to transport three dogs in crates to the airport. My advice...leave this to professionals. And I highly recommend World Care Pet on that count without any hesitation. They treated my three companions to world class service and it showed. I cannot praise them enough. read more

Moving my three pets from Seattle to Hong Kong was overwhelming, scary, and intimidating. I would not recommend Worldcare Pet Transport and I would not work with them again. I looked high and low online for reviews of the various moving companies and wan't able to find much. I guess that's a big part of why I'm writing this review. I really liked Reece, the owner of this company, he put my mind at ease and seemed very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the Pet Relocation Counselor assigned to handle my move was the opposite. First of all, she had terrible attention to detail. When she prepared paperwork for me to sign, it was riddled with errors. Second, she didn't work well with my veterinarians. The vets would call and or email me separately to voice their concerns over her incompetence. Additionally, she couldn't answer basic questions like "what type of food & water dish do you recommend that I buy for the travel crate". Finally, she made arrangements for my pets to be boarded before the move at a facility that should be condemned. Luckily, I had asked if I could visit the boarding facility beforehand. She gave me the contact information and I had to make a arrangements for the visit. The boarding facility she recommended was absolutely terrifying. It was a run-down woman's house that had crates full of dogs in her living room! She had a bedroom down a hallway where she put all of the cats. I would never, in a million years, allow any of my pets to spend the night in those circumstances. When I reported this to WorldCare and asked if they had ever bothered to visit this facility that they are recommending, I was told that they had not visited the facility, but that "some people aren't comfortable with the home boarding option". No apology. No concern. No embarrassment about lending their name or reputation to this entity. Dealing with Worldcare, fixing all of their mistakes, and double-checking their work was the absolute worst part of my move to Hong Kong. Ultimately, my pet's paperwork was lost and my pets were forced to be in their crates hours and hours longer than necessary at the airport. When they were finally delivered, the supplies I had packed (medicine, food, calming spray) was gone. My pets were starving, thirsty and they all had to go to the bathroom badly. It was heart-breaking. Save yourself the unnecessary stress and go with a different company. read more
