We love the Camlin, it's so beautiful and the staff are all so welcoming and attentive. We stay here every summer for a week and walk everywhere we go.

My email one day before arrival. Made reservations 8 months in advance

Wouldn't recommend. We made reservations on 1/25/23 for a 9/22-9/24 stay for a Alaska Cruise and got a email canceling our reservation one day before arrival. Come to find out this place is a time share that is managed through "Extra Holidays,LLC" We had to scramble to find a new hotel which was very difficult and it ended up costing 320$ more than our Camlin reservation. Buyer Beware......

You see where it says Go Free!

I found out about my friends birthday trip last minute and I wanted to go So, I signed up for the promotion through Loryn Young of Winning Ways on May 21st and gave her a 40$ refundable deposit. On May 22nd I went to my booked tour, and I received my deposit back, and I received my points. Well I did have a little trouble with the connection from my email to the Wyndam app. So, I called Loryn. She said " this is only my second day, I do not know but let me find out". And that's exactly what she did. She sprung into action calling her supervisor , Justin, who got in touch with me quickly and walked me through the process over the phone. Loryn also stayed with me through to the end until I booked my 5 day 4 night stay in Las Vegas!!!! Hey!

    3 night escape fine print

Beware of WorldMark's by Wyndham "not so timeshare" timeshare presentations and the snotty sales reps who work/volunteer or are "ambassadors" at this hotel. It was a horrible experience to get the complimentary 3-night stay to try the hotel timeshare experience out. They were unorganized and talked badly about other people who had gone in during earlier sales pitches. They were calling them broke, poor, and just very judgy, even about what they thought people potentially spent money on, including what they ate like "McDonald's or Starbucks", as if it was beneath them. It's comical. A balled-headed finance or final pitch guy who seemed to be in his late 50s and wore earrings, odd, got offended about us not taking up their trash offer on the timeshare trap when I was not for it from the beginning. Somehow they thought my wife signed us up for this crap, so I played along, but when Mo, I believe was his name, tried to run my wife's credit without being upfront about it, I had to put this bs to an end. Be cautious of this location and the front hotel they have. The weird car salesmen like, associates that work here will make it a gauntlet and a down putting experience if you try and go through without signing up.

Hello world -  I have been a Worldmark member since 1996. It used to be great in the 'olden days' before Wyndham took over. They recently changed their website for "Owner Enhancements" and I am beyond SUPER frustrated. As of late, one can't even reach a member services person over the phone at any reasonable time. [Less than 1.5 hours to be exact...] Read on for my woeful tale....   At the beginning of 2022, we got the friendly email reminder that a large # of our points were expiring (the ones we hadn't been able to use because of COVID) so we contacted - or shall I say attempted to contact - Owner Services to find out what options we had. The first couple of times I called were at 1 or 2 pm in the afternoon where I waited on hold for 1.5 hours with no one answering. [Wow... I think I am still hearing the hold messaging in my sleep!]  From that point, I decided to email Owner Services. The automated response to my initial email said I'd have to wait 12 days. OK... I'll do it. After 19 days without any response, I sent another email and called two more times (you guessed it, I waited on hold for over an hour without reaching anyone.) This time the autoresponder email said 19 days. We tried to book something and got crazy errors every time. no matter what form of payment we tried.. (see attached graphic)  So I sent another email with the error. [see below] UPDATE: Have spoken to several employees directly about expiring points - and NEW WEBSITE errors. Was not the best experience from the new Wyndham takeover. Turns out the long hold times (in upwards of 1 hour 45 minutes) have been happening since December, so will resolve to not be 'special' in my situation. By the way, my error below turned out to be resolved after the Customer Service person deleted my CC info and reentered it from her end. On to more positive reviews... ~Angie Sampson Owner since 1996 - [Have never been so frustrated as an owner since Wyndham took over and di all these CRAZY changes!!]  BUYER be wary!

We stayed at the Camlin for a short 4 night vacation in July, the hotel is beyond beautiful! The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome from the door man to the front desk and even the concierge. We arrived to the city early in the morning and dropped our luggage to come back later for check in. The door man noticed I was carrying leftovers in a bag and he offered to place them in the employee refrigerator. Our room was beautiful, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the bathroom was stunning and everything was very clean. We booked a trip for next summer and plan on making this an annual mini vacation.

The rooms, property, and views are stunning. It truly is a special place. My constructive feedback: most of the furniture on the property is very low, making it very difficult for my dad to sit down and stand up. It's surprising considering how many older folks stay with you. I was also surprised to learn quiet time doesn't begin until 11:00 pm. Perhaps that is due to the event spaces on site. However, an earlier quiet time would be a much better fit for the rest and relaxation most are there to enjoy.

Although we were seated quickly and had a nice view of Hood Canal, the service and food have not improved. Our waiter was very bland and gave the impression that he wasn't all that interested in being there. My GF had the crab cakes. As you can see in the photo, each was about the size of a fifty-cent piece. So each cost around $20 and were not worth anything close to that. My miso sturgeon was only ok. Dry and without a hint of miso, it was disappointing. The best item was the side Brussels Sprouts. Crisp and tasty. So, the restaurant and resort are well located, and I'm sure the hotel rooms are nice. You just may want to eat elsewhere.

The tower rooms are very conveniently attached to the casino and easy to get back-and-forth to your room. If you stay in a Resort Room, that building is not attached and you have to walk through the parking lot to get to the casino. I would say that that's the only downfall during the winter time of staying over there. But that is where the pool is so it just depends on what you're looking for at your stay. I have no complaints about the room, very clean and nice decor. My husband wished there was room service for breakfast the next morning but that is not available. I also wish they had valet parking. There is not nearly enough parking in the parking lot so if you don't find parking, you have to park in the parking garage and then walk all the way around back in to the hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly and the checkout process was easy. The second part of this review is going to be on the service from my work holiday party. The room was beautifully set up and the food was delicious. The staff that were coming around refilling water and taking plates were very attentive and friendly. We really liked Richard. The one employee that we encountered was the bartender assigned to our room. My first encounter from her I thought she was just having a bad day and I let it go. Not welcoming or friendly at all. Not even a smile. But as the night went on people started talking and it seemed everyone was having a not so good encounter from Robyn. She did not ID anyone all night, except my coworker that asked for a mocktail. She was rude to some people and unprofessional to others. It just progressively got worse. Yes the management will be reaching out to the contact they have at the casino to let them know. I was just so taken back about how somebody could go out of their way to be so rude at a fun holiday party. Other than that, the experience was great and I would highly recommend renting an event room there. Is it worth the drive?...yes

Low water pressure, noisy fridge, loose fixtures, not enough outlets. The pool is unusable as it's enclosed in glass and is a 100+ degree humid greenhouse. They also didn't service the room after the first night. Just left a pack of soap, didn't touch anything else. The pricing is way too high for a room that is less nice than a Holiday Inn Express. The casino is not classy. It's all digital and feels more like gas station with carpet. There aren't a lot of hotel options up in the islands but we won't be staying here again, the price point doesn't reflect the amenities.

The staff was friendly and polite throughout our visit, which made interactions pleasant. One downside was the early check in time I paid extra for was not accommodated when we arrived. They did refund it, which I appreciated, but it was still inconvenient since we planned our anniversary schedule around getting into the room early. I was not expecting this level of customer service from a hotel with such a strong reputation. 1. Initial Check-In: When we checked in, Aaron at the front desk immediately tried to upsell us on a room upgrade. I informed him that our Black Friday reservation included a complimentary upgrade based on availability, and that I hold Titanium status with Marriott with over 89 nights per year in the network. His demeanor shifted -- he dropped the pitch and told us there was no availability. We were placed on the 2nd floor in an undesirable room tucked behind trees (room 2830) 2. Extending Our Stay: Stranded due to the East Coast snowstorm, the front desk said they could not modify our reservation. Shaleah told us to book online -- where the minimum was 2 nights. I brought my laptop to confirm the issue before booking and she said she could adjust it to 1 night and apply a trip interruption rate. Once booked, the story changed to how we needed to email quality to get the night refund and the trip interruption rate applied. Additionally,, we couldn't use the same room and were forced to check out at 11 AM and check back in at 4 PM. 3. Smoke in the New Room: Our new room reeked of cigarette or cigar smoke. Housekeeping confirmed the smell and promised a room change by 5 PM. We heard nothing. At 8 PM, the front desk said they could not move us -- leaving our three young children (ages 5, 3, and 2) sleeping in a smoke-filled room overnight. This is a serious health concern that should not have been dismissed. I spent approximately $5,000 on the initial reservation, $4,000 in expenses throughout the week, and an additional $1,400 plus $750 for one night stay in a smoke-filled room -- over $12,000 total for a deeply disappointing experience. It didn't feel like the staff was trying to help me. It felt like you were trying to nickel and dime me for everything. It also felt like there was no management in site and the staff was clueless. It resembled the infuriating car buying experience where they needed to phone someone to make any changes.

We arrived & the valet guy was incredibly helpful with the check-in process & transporting our bags to the room. The property is beautiful and our room with hot tub was impressive. The Source bar within the hotel has great drinks & food, but the service staff was the best I've ever had anywhere. The bartender, she made the drinks strong enough that it felt worth the cost (which I was greatful for) and made them sweeter when I needed them to be. The waiter Mason........ literally the best waiter I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. Just attentive enough to feel taken care of, but not so much to be annoying, he was also training a new employee and was doing a fantastic job from what i was seeing. Explaining the job to such a degree of understanding that I only wish every restaurant had a "Mason" to train new employees. I want to give 3 Gold stars to the chef for the perfectly cooked lobster and shrimp mac. Im no pro, but I know how hard it is to cook lobster & shrimp to perfection thanks to the Food Network and the perfectly Al Dente bucatini with marsala mushrooms were sauted to ultimate tastiness. It's been a long time since we've had a meal that well cooked & it was delicious. Day 2, My husband & I had couples massage & facial at The Glade. Emily & Hailey were absolutely amazing massage therapist, they both listened to our needs in detail & they were executed to absolute perfection. Not once, did I need to tell her softer or harder and I have a severely broken foot i had surgery on 6wks ago. Every move she made, was made with my absolute comfort & relaxation in mind. Conversion was easy & relaxed, it felt like we've known them both for years. I would suggest that management consider Hailey's ideas in adding soundbath therapies. That would have made an incredible experience that much better. After our massage, I had a facial with Abby. She as well, listened to my needs and gave me the most spectacular & soothing facial with an equally easy & relaxed conversation. It felt wonderful to be taken care of to such a degree. The oxygenating fizzofoliant was so wonderfully bizarre that I purchased a bottle for myself. We had dinner reservations made a few minutes down the road so we were given shuttle service by Doyle, a hilariously quirky lovely older gentleman that played the best music for our 5 minute trip and Ben who jumped in to pick us up after dinner when Doyle was busy shutting other guests. The food at The Stovehouse was incredibly delicious, the tortilla chips were freshly made & perfectly crisp, the salsa had just the right amount chunk to sauce to heat & the guacamole was so good it had to be handmade. Clearly by someone who has a 100 year old family guacamole recipe running through their veins. The tuna was perfectly seared and the greens fresh & crisp, but again, our server Brennan was just as fantastic as we had at The source. He was perfectly attentive without feeling overwhelming & was incredibly helpful with a few silly requests that I had. All the staff seemed genuinely happy and content to work there, not a single word or action felt forced or even only nice because they were being paid to as part of the job. I really hope they're paid well, because Suncadia hit the jackpot with all of them. The only complaints we could nit pick about was that with my broken foot I wasn't able to take the 1,000 steps down to the river, the coffee shop doesn't open until 7am & The Glade could use a cold plunge pool for the people who like to use the mineral pools & sauna for long periods of time. I only wish that we could afford to come here again. Ive literally never felt this relax and well cared for by everyone at Suncadia.

As someone who frequently travels and dines at upscale restaurants and banquets, I can confidently say that what is marketed as refined here does not align with what is delivered. On multiple occasions, we found long dark hairs in our food -- including in my children's mac and cheese. This was not a one-time oversight. It became a pattern. Even more concerning, management-level staff with very long dark hair were consistently seen delivering food without it properly secured. When basic food safety standards appear optional at the leadership level, it speaks volumes. Beyond that, service execution is disorganized. Tables are crowded, and we repeatedly received incomplete settings or missing items -- condiments, steak knives, and at times portions of the meal itself. These are elementary details for any restaurant, let alone one positioning itself as upscale. The only bright spot was one blonde server named Sandi who handled the situation with professionalism and composure. She demonstrated the level of service the restaurant claims to embody. What ultimately makes the experience untenable is the atmosphere created by the head chef audibly yelling tickets and shouting at staff throughout service. A dining room should feel polished and controlled -- not chaotic and tense. After giving this establishment many opportunities to improve, we have decided not to return. High-end dining is not about price points or aesthetics -- it is about consistency, leadership, and standards. Those fundamentals are currently lacking here. Gorgeous place nonetheless.

Let's Break this Baby Down:…read more Pros: 1) Dog-friendly 2) Chocolate Martinis 3) Servers and Restaurant Service (top notch) 4) Rooms were pretty great on like a Americanized English Patient Economy Way Cons: 1) The hot tub gave me a UTI. I got it on my birthday instead of nookie and it took 10 days of medical treatment to expunge. I reported it to the health dept and they just repeated what the hotel told them about pH balance and sanitary levels. I spent three hours in a tub without a staffer taking levels. In Palm Springs, it is on the clock hourly. 2) in the snow tubing area, which was vast, I flew into a frozen pond and broke through to what smelled liked raw sewage, Suncadia reports it's just water run off. It was not quite "It's a Wonderful Life" traumatizing... but it's the first thing I remember about my birthday... even over the UTI that prevented me from making love to my husband for two weeks. 3) My gift was left in the room but never reported as missing. My only birthday gift this year. 4) Suncadia is a total cheap repelicant of rich people resorts. I don't want to go to those places because I detest rich people. However Suncadia is simple and overwhelmed, like the Vegas version of the Eiffel tower instead of the real Effiel tower.

Some of the amenities available are hiking, horseback riding, camping for RV's, tents, biking and even glamping areas. There are quaint towns nearby for sightseeing. Silver Ridge Ranch has the cutest little bar on site called The Watering Hole, open on Fridays and Saturdays which is perfect to stop in for a small bite and drink. Great relaxing amenity for campers or locals to enjoy a drink and good conversation. This is the perfect venue for weddings, reunions, business conferences ,... I witnessed the manager, Lauren, handle a situation very professionally. A group that was demanding and rude were really giving her a hard time and she politely and calmly dealt with them. The lodge is beautiful and clean. the scenery is unmatched, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We definitely plan to return. Thanks Silver Ridge!

The bathrooms were also very gross and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There were several groups who were extremely loud past quiet hours, which was very disruptive since the campsites were pretty communal. The people at the front desk were very kind and welcoming, though! I just personally would not recommend the tent campsites.
