I switch between this location and the Oke Poke nearby. Overall they make a great poke bowl and I come here for the monster bowl (5 scoops of fish) when I'm really hungry. There is also a shorter line and service is efficient. The only thing that pushes me to other locations is the portion sizes. I've been coming here for 5+ years and I noticed their portion sizes have been reducing. They use a really small scooper and only give 1 scoop of each fish, so there's barely any fish and a lot of rice or salad that fill in the bowl. They have limited options on the fish (salmon, tuna or albacore). The spiciness and mix of sauces is perfect here. The other toppings that i like to add on are seaweed salad, masago, crispy onions/garlic chips and furikake. Overall this spot lacks innovation and the selection has not changed in my 5 years of eating here, but you do get a consistent bowl of poke. I have been coming here for years, I ordered online and ordered to be ready at my soonest ETA. Food was ready , sushi was fresh. This place is quick in getting the food out. There is outside seating , if your ordering your food ahead of time, and there is a long line of orders being made, just walk in and ask for your order, they have the phone/online orders on a shelf in behind the register. First off; they actually keep the miso soup at such a hot temperature it stayed warm until the end of our meals although we sat outside and it was breezy! Now for the bowls, I can see how people say it's smaller than other spots but the regular size was perfect for us on top of being of great quality. The brown rice is actually cooked perfectly here. However when I got back to my office and opened up my food they gave me green onions instead of crispy onions. There is a big difference between the two and I really don't like green onions so it ruined my whole eating experience. Their fish is cut into small tiny cubes. The line can get long but is pretty quick. They rush a little. The Korean lady at the check (assuming owner) didn't look me in the eyes even once while taking my money. The monster bowl gives you 5 scoops of fish, while the regular gives you 3. You can choose from salmon, albacore, tuna, shrimp, scallop, tofu, octopus, or egg. A glaring omission is yellowtail. Base options are white or brown rice, salad, or nacho. You're only allowed to choose 1. There are no options for the sauce. All you can choose is how spicy you want it. Toppings are limited to ginger, masago, seaweed salad, green onions, wasabi, and sesame seed. I wasn't a fan of the fish. The portions are tiny and the fish didn't taste that fresh. I got albacore and noticed a rough texture on the outside of each piece. The salmon was devoid of flavor and the scallops tasted too much like the ocean. I placed my order online and requested brown rice, after being annoyed I wasn't able to get half rice, half salad. When I received my bowl, it was all white rice. It wasn't like they were out of brown rice, as I noticed a giant rice cooker filled with brown rice when I entered. The white rice wasn't cooked well and clumped together with too much regularity. There just wasn't enough sauce in the bowl either. In addition to not having multiple sauce options, they hardly give you any of their house sauce. I had to add soy sauce in the form of packets to make the bowl more palatable. So let's recap. They can't read an order correctly. There isn't free avocado. There aren't a variety of sauce options, and the amount given is paltry. The fish portions leave a lot to be desired, and yellowtail is not offered. The toppings are extremely limited. Pricing for standard bowls aren't competitive for the quality and quantity of food provided. read more

They have an option for a larger bowl, though it's a bit pricier at $3 more, costing $11. This is pretty close to the $10.75 price of Pokinometry. Plus with the larger bowl you get 5 scoops of fish as opposed to the 3 scoops with the regular bowl. And there is an extra scoop of crab meat. I really think they need to price the large bowl at $10. Just look for those umbrellas outside as there is no prominent signage. They are not nearly as flavorful as Pokinemtry BUT they do have other benefits. For one poke bowl at $8, you have the following options: Step 1: White or brown rice. Step 2: (Choose up to 4) Avocado, cucumber, crab meat, onion. Step 3: (Choose up to 3) Spicy Tuna, tuna, shrimp, scallop, tofu, salmon, albacore, octopus, tamago. Step 4: No spicy, mild, medium, hot. Step 5: Ginger, masago, green onion, wasabi. I typically only get cucumber and crab meat in my bowl but since Wow Bento allows you to choose up to 4, I doubled up on both. Pokinometry doesn't allow you to do such a thing, with the exception of the fish. I was ecstatic knowing I was about to get a double scoop of the imitation crab. While Wow Bento is the first poke place that hits the spice level right on the nose, the flavor falls a bit short. The concoction is salty and spicy but you can easily tell that it is lacking the flavor that Pokinemtry has perfected. Their imitation crab mix is on the healthier side as it drier with little mayo but that's something I can appreciate!
