Dont do it. Went in for a clean up and came out with thin shapeless brows. Horrible experience. Will not be back.

Just left this place and my eyebrows have never looked better! She actually left my eyebrows thick and not super thin like most places do. (FYI my eyebrows naturally don't have much hair) I will for sure be coming back! read more

This place was great! I was delighted to discover this place after a month of newly Living in Durham. I was a walk-in and was taken immediately - however I do think I got a little lucky on timing as there were about 6 people waiting when I was done. The woman was quick and did an excellent job shaping my brows. And it was only $10! Great quality and great price! read more

No stars! I have been going to the Durham location for over 3 years. The entire staff has changed over and over and over. I went in this past Saturday to get my brows and upper lip done. Never again. The girl went so slow the pain was over the top and told her not to do my lip. She kept using scissors to trip my brows and once se finished I realized why. They are totally messed up. One is thicker, the other is too thin and they are un even. There is a dip on the top of each one. My right side is probably half the size it was. When I asked her about the dip she brushed the hair up to fill it in. I'm 52, not 20! I came in with a classic shaped brow and I have no idea what I left with. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I am not sure what has happened with the management of this location. This is not the quality or service that Wow Brows should be proud of. read more

I was hesitant to go here after reading the reviews, but was desperate for an eyebrow appointment and my usual person/salon is still out for the holiday. I stopped in today, spur of the moment, and there was no wait. The woman did a GREAT job! I was in and out of that place in 20 minutes or less and my total including tip was cheaper than my usual place. I will definitely return. read more

They did not do a good job. Inadequate lighting to see close up. Very unhappy with facial threading. I do not recommend.

This is my second time going to WowBrows. The first time was very pleasant and the women thinned my eyebrows (not too much) just the way I like them. TOday there was a new gentleman doing the threading, hoping for the same person but being realistic I decided to stay. My skin hasn't HURT so bad in the 3 years since I stopped waxing! My skinn is puffy, red, and feels like it was burned and scared. I hope it heals without a scar. I don't think I'll be returning. read more

I'm originally from the Northeast, which has a strong south Asian population and hence a lot of good competition in threading. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for 8 years. I usually wait 1.5 - 2 months between threading a (due to being slightly lazy and also preferring to have my brows be fuzzy so a beautiful shape can be sculpted out of them). That being said, I do not usually go to the same person/salon; where I go depends on what time of day it is and where I am. Despite that I'm versatile with who I let thread my eyebrows, I will *never* go back to WOW Brows. The first time I went there I left with one eyebrow skinnier than the other. This took me 2 months to grow out. The second time I went there (giving it a second shot since it's the closest eyebrow place to where I live), I watched a woman get a facial and her eyebrows threaded while I was waiting. The beautician who worked on her was a nice East Asian woman who seemed great. At the end of treatment, the woman tried to pay with a credit card but could not due to the credit card machine being down. The beautician went to the backroom to try to talk to her supervisor for help. I heard the supervisor tell the beautician she's busy, to leave her alone, and to figure it out. At this moment, a rush of people walked in for treatment as well. The beautician went to the backroom again to ask for help from her supervisor who then angrily walked out. She told the woman who had finished her treatment that she cannot leave without paying and told everyone else that that they will only take clients who have a) cash or b) write down their credit card number and leave it at the salon so they can charge them later. I understand that sometimes credit card machines stop working. But it isn't fair to demand that a customer stay hostage for 30-45 minutes. I walked out after waiting for 35 minutes watching this fiasco. The management treats their workers horribly. This isn't a place I want to see thrive. And what's more, the workers gave me uneven eye brows. This place is drama-city and controlled by stuck-up, pretentious people who are full of themselves. There isn't a lot of competition for eyebrow threading in Durham. But that does *not* mean this is the place you should trust with your eyebrows or your money. I've had much better experiences at Chandni's which is about a 3 minute drive from this place. read more

I went in yesterday to get my brows done and ONLY my brows. Upon sitting in the chair, the woman asked if I wanted my upper lip done. I said NO because my upper lip breaks out very badly after waxing or threading. She proceeded to tell me it wouldn't break out because she would be gentle and insisted that I try it and I would see. I reluctantly agreed. Last night and today my upper lip, chin, and brows are completely red, zitty, and look disgusting. This is after skin treatments I used to try to prevent such a thing from happening. My overall complaint is not about the breakout, but about how pushy the "professionals" are at the salon. If I say no to a service, especially for a good reason, please don't keep trying to push unwanted services on me. I wanted to pay $10 for getting my eyebrows done and walked out paying almost $40 for upper lip and chin. Not to mention I had to pluck my brows after I left, there were so many hairs left. I was quite pleased with my eyebrow threading. Being a guy she kept commenting on how long my overly long brows were (think Andy Rooney) and tamed them for at least another month by both trimming with scissors and threading them. Will definitely go back! read more

I have been here about 5 times. The newer Asian woman is great, and she took her time. However, Nancy (Indian woman), tries to upsale almost everything else on the menu of services. One time I was getting my eyebrows done and she asked if I wanted my lip done too. I said no, and she asked again. I said no again, and she curtly said "well you need it." I'm sorry, but I'll decide what services I want, and if I say no then respect it. I'm not going back to Nancy, but the new Asian woman is good. read more

I am very specific about my eyebrows and made a request and she screwed it up! This is the second time that I requested my brows be done a certain way and they messed them up. I tried going back a few times but this last time was not good. I was appreciative of the owner who apologized and offered the service for free but I now have lopsided brows!! Very frustrating so I am looking for another place to get my brows threaded and preferably by Indians who developed this method originally. read more

Wow. My eyebrows just needed to be cleaned up, and the woman instead thinned them out and left them looking like a trainwreck. When she finished my second brow, she showed me how she's done it unevenly and wanted to know if I wanted her to even it out. After seeing how thin they already were, I'd decided "hell no" and left after paying. They looked a lot better before I came here, so I should have either stayed home or paid more for someone to do a decent job... read more

I had a decent experience. I called ahead, they said they weren't busy, so I drove over. Sure enough, I didn't have to wait. Brows were $10. Lady listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I asked for. They're not necessarily friendly but I really don't care as long as you give me what I want. I signed up for their rewards club and will be getting my eyebrows done here regularly. No complaints. read more

I had such an amazing experience at Wow Brows! I typically stay away from threading and just go for waxes, but I'm so happy with my experience. The salon was very inviting, with clean hardwood floors, nice music in the background and dishes of candy in the reception area. When I arrived there wasn't very much of a wait and it took them about 10 minutes from start to finish. When you arrive you have to check in on a computer, which I thought was a very innovative way of keeping up with customers. The woman who threaded my eyebrows did such an amazing job. I would definitely recommend this place and I'm VERY picky and wary of people who do anything to my eyebrows. I think if you're used to waxing and can stand the pain, it's definitely worth it to try Wow Brows! Plus it has such an ideal location, you can enjoy the mall, grab a bite to eat and get your eyebrows done all within the a few blocks of each other! I HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

This place is great! I start going here a few months ago, I am very careful where I get my eyebrows done. The place that I use to get them down was out of my way so I gave wow brow a chance and I will go nowhere else any more. They are so friendly there, and know what they are doing when it comes to eyebrows. After I got my eyebrows done Anu (the manager) suggested that I try this eyebrow powder, she didn't pressure me to buy it she just made a suggestion. But I gave powder a try and was not to bad price and it works miracles. Very visit that I have had here was awesome!! read more

So as a guy I never really spent a lot (none?) time thinking about my eyebrows. But I went in with my girlfriend and she coaxed me to just try it out. It did sting a little but not so bad. The threader did one brow and showed me the difference. I was surprised. It really did make a big difference. I'm going back again whenever my girlfriend says I need it. I don't get the bad reviews. I really liked wow brows. The service was great and I love how they do my brows. I've been to other places, shapes (made my brows too thin and uneven) at the mall and chandis and I was very displeased. I had to ask both of them not to use the thread in the mouth. Gross. My mom read me an article in her paper about a woman where they did that and she got a flesh eating bacteria on her face. That is disgusting. I'll keep going back to wow brows. read more

EXCELLENT SERVICE and RESULTS!!- I was treated like THE most valued customer as soon as I walked in the door! Only moments before I had been turned away from a waxing salon a few doors down because I could not climb up on their very high treatment table. At "Wow Brows" all I had to do was sit down in the comfortable chair, similar to a hair salon chair, to receive my full face threading. Never having had this type of service before, I will admit it was slightly uncomfortable, but Anu (sp?), who performed my service, was as gentle as she could be, offered me a cooling gel for my face, and did a very thorough job! When I walked out of Wow Brows my face was smooth, my brows were beautifully shaped and symmetrical, and I was a very, very happy gal! read more

I used to go to WOW Brows because I didn't know of any other threading studios. It is located in the congested area of Southpoint, overpriced $12 and high employee turnover. I found another studio closer to me in Durham on 15-501 near TJMAXX called WAH Brow eyebrow threading only $8. In my opinion they spend more time sculpting the brow and thread a larger area beyond the brow. read more

I went in today to get my brows threaded. I am a threading virgin. I decided to tey it because waxing has left me with little brows to work with. I walked in - no wait. I tld the lady i never had it done before and she was great! little pain...no where near the pain of waxing. it was 10 dollars...great price...i even brought the brow filler...i knwo it was a little pricy but what the heck.
