The worst service ever they upgraded me when I signed up for basic service. I went out of town. My service was only on for six weeks. I didn't know I came back to find my service hadn't been on and they charged me for three months. I originally signed up for the basic service., charge me for the premium service and then sent me to collections. Worst customer service when I try to talk to somebody about it. Having had internet service for several years, mostly a good relationship, but everything changed after hurricane Milton. After a week or so most outages had been cleared, however every night service went down and in the AM I had to reboot everything, modem, booster, etc. And often had to go online to reset all or call service dept. After several promises that the issue was fixed, it continued every day. So I had Spectrum installed and discontinued service on 11/15/2024. Then on 11/22/24 my credit card was charged for a full month, which I refuted. Then WoW billed me again for full month, $65.69, plus a $30 late fee. I called and talked to a supervisor and he agreed to cut the due in half, $45.35. I agreed to pay and just asked that he send me a new invoice for that amount. After a week and no invoice, I called the Disconnect department and asked why no invoice. They said there was no note on my account to cut the bill in half. This is not only terrible service but to lie about a conversation. Now I will agree to pay only the half month I should have been charged, $32.85. They up charge customers for living in a community. They were charging me $20 more per month for internet service than what their website rage page says simply because I live in a community. They were giving our community of over 600 homes a discounted group rate for basic cable service. Once Wow was bought out by YouTube they decided to give us the middle finger by charging us all full price. YouTube clearly doesn't need or want our money. The installation was done by Laz, Tech#: 26610. He arrived a little early for our appointment window without being intrusive. That was/is much appreciated. I explained to him my telephone and Internet needs, explained my existing set-up/service, and gave him whatever information he needed from me. Within less than two hours Taz had professionally installed my new WOW equipment and ensured everything was connected and working properly, to include speed/connectivity tests. My residence required both indoor and outdoor equipment installation and Taz mastered both equally well. Laz represents the best of knowledge, skills, and abilities in the fiber world. In addition to new (and reliable) equipment ...my old cable equipment was six+ years old and in the tech world, that's old...And the cherry on top of this fiber sundae? After Hurricane Milton came through, at the end of October, WOW put a wire through my backyard to help give 4 customers internet as the box that is in my backyard wasn't working and this was supposed to be for two weeks as a fix until they fixed the box that wasn't working. Now, 2 months later I can't get any help from WOW to get it removed. I am not a WOW member and this huge Wire running through my backyard is a huge liability. I had my kid's friend almost crack his head open after falling over the wire and My dog almost got hurt by the wire as well. My kid and her friends and my dogs can't play in my backyard because of it. I had someone come out in November and they did nothing and again had someone come out on the 19th of December and now it is with some other group that is doing nothing here. I have called about this numerous times but no one seems to care at all. At this point I may have to get a lawyer involved as this is a huge liability and the lack of effort to fix this is unreal. I am extremely upset and calling WOW customer service is making it worse. How this is ok to do to someone that doesn't even have the service blows my mind. I am praying you guys can help get this resolved so my dogs and my child can play in the backyard without getting hurt. I don't want to have to take this to a lawyer and go after WOW but it is like not having freedom and I don't want to just yank out the wire as 4 of my neighbors will suffer. I should have been concerned with the string of one star reviews, but I thought it was a small local company. I opened a business internet account a little over a year ago. The tech came out, set up the modem for our internet and had me sign the contract on his tablet. 6 or 7 pages of legal paperwork and some initials and he was off. Fast forward 13 months and I tried cancelling my account. Well, It auto renews every year. I am stuck on the hook for internet on an empty building for another 11 months. Shame on me for not reading the contract carefully and shame on you if you don't. I was trying to get the tech on his way quickly, but learned a painful lesson. The 1 star is only because I was happy with their product awhile, until it stopped working. I tried WOW internet for less than 30 days and cancelled because I had no internet for 3 days within the first week. In the initial set up they sent equipment I already had, the installing technician took the equipment and said he would remove it from my account. It was a EERO wireless system... I already have one from my company. So he took it. After closing the account and learning the equipment had not been removed from my account, I've called a total of 4 times and have given them the serial # of my eero, which they confirmed does not match theirs. Each time I could not get past the rep answering the phone and the request for a manager was denied. Each one said they would escalate to the resolution department and I should hear back from them within 5 days. Unfortunately, I never heard from them and now I got a letter saying they sent me to collections for the amount of $210.92 the amount they want to steal from me for the eero the installing technician took and was supposed to have removed from my account. read more

Horrible service. Internet is spotty at best even when paying for premium package. Devices get disconnected at least once a day. Customer service is just as bad. Rep entered my card information wrongly for autopay and there was no communication payment did not go through until we woke up one morning to find out we had been disconnected and it would take SIX HOURS for the service to reboot. On the best days it's a minor headache. On the worst it's unusable. Do not use. We always welcome and encourage competition to keep internet prices down but if the damage done to property during fiber optic installation is any indication of customer "care" - there is concern. The company is not interested in repairing any damage done to private property. Not helpful and 60 minute wait times on phone to get dismissed unless you want to sign up for their service. Wow is the most incompetent cable & internet service ever! We have had wow since 8/2019. Recently I've had the worst incompetence from your company! They're fraudulently charging me for service since they fail to show up or fix the service. Your supervisors all lie & never show up or follow through as promised. They still promise or claim to guaranteed resolution however they never follow through & make excuses repeatedly. On 8/25 I called with no service. They had also charged me $82.00 for this service. They must of put in a code for zero service because it went out completely & hasn't worked since! They fail to show up on 8/25 then say they can't get out until 9/1. Then they fail to show up again. All week long I call & complain... they never show up. I start screaming & filing multiple complaints. They tell me on 9/2 they are too busy & have no appointments. So I'm left without service still. I work from home! You have cost me loss of income. You have cost my grandkids the ability to complete homework. I get an error code "106" I tell the PRETEND tech who says "let me google that & see what it means" then proceeds to say "I found the cause on google & I adjusted your modem" nope... then he says he's going to cancel my appointment. No! It's not working! So Tuesday I finally have a guy arrive who says he's from Ohio & he's tired of wow cause their service sucks & there's nothing he can do to fix it but he will put in a maintenance ticket! So I call wow & I'm livid. I get a supervisor named anastasia. She assured me I wouldn't have to call anymore. She said she made certain it would be resolved that day, Tuesday! Well, it's not. Let's see.... I saw a tech outside, he took off speeding down the street with no resolution Both of the techs that came to my door stood there ringing a ring doorbell... then wondering why I don't answer.... There's no WiFi, a WiFi doorbell requires WiFi... real smart... techs you have... again, still nothing! I then called in on 9/2 and scheduled a 2nd appointment via ticket # 32848736 for 9/4, 1-5pm and no one showed up or fixed it. This is a huge liability for your company. I have provided you the facts and this is being ignored. Please be advised that I'm currently on the phone right now with customer service 866-496-9669 trying to schedule yet a 3rd appointment. That's good for you. I have been with WOW since 2013 and was an ambassador. I also use my own equipment I'm responsible for, not costing WOW a dime. I had a new contract for two years until July 2025. They just did a price increase on me! I called and they said yes, your price was good for another year but they restructured everything. Like auto pay and price lock. Nothing to do with pricing I agreed to for two years. I'm a senior. This is the first time I am unhappy. And this is a terrible reason, they should be ashamed. HORRIBLE! Do NOT use this service provider. They signed us up for services for high speed internet as we work from home in the st Pete area. So once we started these services, after about two weeks realize that the internet isn't really loading what I need it to and is lagging which when paying for high speed should not be the case. I call she problem shoots says she reset the monitor and it worked for about 15 min in a good speed and then proceeded to not load things after , so I call again and then two of the people from wow informed me that high speed internet isn't actually available for the st Pete area which is why my internet isn't working. So after they refer me to go back to spectrum instead of them , they do not issue me a refund, they also canceled my internet but do not disconnect my internet services after this conversation so I have to call back and ask why they aren't canceling it , they proceeded to tell me it wasn't applied to my account that I wanted that to happen, "of course it was clear I have no service " so they issue it but say we will not officially cancel your services until the last day of the billing cycle , so now I have to go two weeks without internet because they won't shut it off spite me already being hooked up with spectrum already now they won't shut off their services so I can't activate my new spectrum account for two weeks so as someone who works from home and relays on good internet this is terrible. read more

We switched three weeks ago when Spectrum became very expensive. WOW installation is handled by subcontractors with no adequate supervision. Customer service is a nightmare with polite English-is -a second-language people reading from a script. Fighting through their telephone tree today was very maddening. Not only did I have to listen to ads regarding WOW's wonderful service but they added an advertisement for medical alert devices. Talk about treating a customer as dirt! They were pretty quick on the install. For my place getting set up was a bit strange. They didn't have my address..had to do an area service check, didnt hear anything for weeks. I had been considering Wow for awhile but I was nervous about the reviews regarding customer service. I got a cold call one day and the offer presented sound great (internet only) and I would even save a few bucks if I went paperless. I told the gentleman about my customer service concerns and he assured me that all would be well. I wasn't too concerned because I could always switch back to Spectrum, if I had to. A window on a Saturday from 3 to 5PM was assigned and I was told I would receive a call 15 minutes before the guys showed up to install the equipment. I took time off work to be home for that two-hour window. At 5:35 PM, a guy shows up from Wow. I told him the window was 3 to 5 PM and he was going to have to wait on me to lock up my dogs. He waited and I then explained to him that you know... not only are you late, I never got a phone call and I don't think this is good customer service, do you? He looks at me like I'm a fucking moron and shrugs his shoulders. He never apologizes but he was smart enough to tell the other guys to enter my backyard from the alley instead of the front door because I was pissed. An hour later, another gentleman comes in to set up my modem and he apologizes. Really? You are going to apologize THEN? Minus a star, dude. my internet service from WOW has gone out 4 times in the last month. All were problems with their equipment outside of my home. I was without service for a total of 8 days in the past 30. Amazingly, they charged me $58 for the last service call, even though the tech told me the service to our subdivision needed to be redone. The horrible service record is one thing, but the time I've wasted waiting for multiple repairmen over the past month is totally unacceptable!
