Fast service- we got our food in 10 mins. Friendly staff, checked on us several times. Good food, flavorful and big portions!

Such a great spot for local, hearty fare and to meet friendly locals. The coffee ($2.75/each) was your usual diner brew but was served fresh. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak (tender beef fritter smothered with country gravy, eggs cooked your way, hash browns and choice of toast, $12.99). I had heard there is nowhere that serves the iconic meal like a Wyoming diner so I had to try it. I'll admit, it was pretty great compared to other Chicken Fried Steaks I'd had! They went heavy on the creamy, hot gravy and the steak was juicy and tender. Hash browns were cooked to perfection! My husband got the French Toast Combo ($10.99) and the few bites I had were fantastic. It came with two eggs and choice of two bacon slices or sausage links. The French toast was fluffy and made with Texas toast bread. 10/10 all around!!

Had the chicken fried steak. A real piece of meat, not those horrible preformed gristle patties that come out of a box. Thank you.

We didn't stay at the lodge because we were camping, but we had the pleasure of sitting at the bar with Dominique for dinner, who completely made our night serving the BEST cocktails! And the food was AMAZING too! You can of course fulfill your carnivore healthy appetite, but they have vegan and gluten free items too! It really isn't that far from the Town of Pinedale, so if you are looking for a GREAT restaurant, I would absolutely recommend the drive up to have a spectacular dinner with incredible ambiance. But the great dinner and service wasn't the only part of our eventful night. After leaving the restaurant, we accidentally took a wrong turn onto a road that we thought was the campsite and while backing up, we almost flipped our van over a cliff! It was literally dangling from the side of the road!!! So, because we had established such a great relationship with Dominique, I decided to call the restaurant to see if they could help. And by the grace of GOD, got reception and was able to speak to the owner, Kristine. Within minutes, she arrived and so did Dominique with a flatbed truck, and with the 2 vehicles, they were able to pull us out!!!! I have never been so grateful in my life for these 2 angels that saved our lives. They had been working all day and didn't even blink to come and help. And when I asked how I could repay them, they said, "Welcome to Wyoming, please just pay it forward." So, this review is not only to encourage everyone to eat, drink and stay at a BEAUTIFUL and SPECTACULAR establishment, it's a plea for me to be able to "pay it forward" a little bit to some really exceptional people who deserve all the best life has to give.

Do not leave the premise without trying the onion rings! You can also book a horseback ride around the lakes to give you breathtaking views and a true Wyoming experience. I almost never write reviews, but Matt and the Chef deserve some recognition!…read more It was honestly hard finding good food in Jackson Hole as we are picky eaters, but this place was so good we came back twice. The fried chicken pasta was delicious - the chicken was sooo juicy. The truffle pasta was also really good. Matt works at the bar, and he made the whole experience even better. There wasn't a hostess when we walked in, but he noticed us and got us seated. We also ate at the bar another night and noticed how much he genuinely goes out of his way for everyone. Even if he's not your server, he makes sure you're taken care of. He handles negative situations really well too, even when things like food delays aren't his fault. Super friendly, great attitude, and just naturally good at what he does. Honestly, service at some other places in Jackson Hole has been pretty disappointing, so Matt really stood out and left a great impression on us.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and dinner…read more Possibly the best ribeye I've had in the past 10 years, but the other "foam and powder"aspects of the dish were just silly. The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.

They truly care, and it shows in the food preparation and taste. We decided to give the ranch-promise a test and jumped for the $29 16oz grilled ribeye. Cooked mid-rare, it was deliciously tender and well seasoned. The cut of meat was the star of the show, not to be overpowered by any seasoning or sauce. Perfect! The Brussels sprouts were tender and slightly charred (my favorite), and the fresh mashed potatoes and brown gravy were home style comfort food by definition. It is a LOT of food, so feel free to share (would be like 2 6 oz steaks if you choose not to chew the fat). Very happy to have had this before a week of freeze dried and camp-prepared food while we backpack in the Wind River range nearby!

She asked for drink order and brought those to the table. She asked if we were ready to order. My husband said he needed a minute. She took one step back from the table and stood there holding her pen and order pad. Awkward. We placed our order, and the waitress disappeared. She returned later to bring our food and disappeared again. The food was not great. Potatoes were undercooked and biscuits were hard even covered in gravy. However, the cook was the best part of the visit. He was very friendly. The waitress showed up briefly to drop off our bill, and you guessed it...disappeared. When the cook came to collect our plates, I asked of he could check is out. He said sure and went to fi d the waitress. When she brought our change to the table, I immediately realized the change wasn't right. Hubby gave her a fifty to cover a tab of $33.31. She brought back change in the amount of $11.69. Hubby was about to put it in his wallet when I saw what she gave him. I told him that it was short by $5. I called her over and told her it was wrong. She smiled and went to get a five out of the register. Thank you, Stephanie G. for getting our stay at the property off to a good start.
