I bought a new GE washer from Lowe's a little over a year ago. I have a 5 year extended warranty. Wright Appliance is the repair vendor. The parts were delivered to my house by Fedex 2 weeks ago. Not sure they are still in business. I left 4 voicemail messages with the business last week trying to find out when they are going to actually repair the washer. I have been waiting almost a month for my washer to be repaired. Does anyone know if this company is still in business???? They don't answer their phone or respond to voicemail. read more

This Sid guy didn't show up at the time he told me he would be there to fix my refrigerator. When I called after 40 min. or so to see where he was, he was obviously annoyed and spoke to me as if I were stupid. Apparently if he specifies a certain time when he'll arrive, what he actually means is that he may show up any time up to an hour after that. I told him I didn't know that because he didn't inform me of this policy, which annoyed him further. Lack of basic communication skills led to a waste of my time, and while it could have been a simple mistake, I don't need some person I am willing to pay for services to speak to me like that, as if I did something wrong or should automatically know how he operates. absolutely horrible customer service. I called mid April to get my dishwasher fixed, the owner, Sid, came out and looked at it and said a part was needed and he would order and then get back in touch with me. 2 1/2 weeks go by and I never heard anything even after I had called multiple times. I posted a review on Google and only then did he respond. Then he called me and told me the part should come in the next week. That was the first week of May. It's now June 29th and I never heard anything from them again. I called and left a message. I then called again telling them to cancel my order, if they actually ordered the part which I doubt they did, and I no longer needed them. Still no response back. I called then Foxdual appliance services and he came out the next day, and fixed both my dishwasher AND dryer in 2 hours, for an extremely low rate. Please do not use Wright Appliance. read more

I called regarding the door not locking on my KitchenAid dishwasher. Got an appointment the next day. That morning realized the door was now locking. Called to cancel and repair men were at my door. Told them I had tried to cancel appointment. They came in to the kitchen and just checked the door and lock. Sure enough it had self corrected and was working. I'm surprised at the negative reviews because I had a great experience with Sid fixing the wiring on my old cooktop and getting my dishwasher running again. My wall oven is too old to find a part anymore, but that's not for lack of trying on his part. He was honest and the repair charge was fair. Our Samsung Refrigerator, was freezing everything, and the temperature indicator was saying it was 40 degrees, We really thought we were in for a new fridge, or at the very least a very costly repair. My partner Bryan called Wright Appliance Repair, and Sid came out same day. Sid very quickly diagnosed the issue, explained and fixed the problem, at a very reasonable price. Avoid this company. My fridge started acting up last month and Wright was the first company to call back with an appointment time. They were able to get us in the next day! After coming out and diagnosing the issue as a bad damper, the guy stated we could have the part ordered or just wait and see, as the fridge may just run a little cold. They even stated if you call back within 30 days, you'll only be charged for the initial visit, plus the cost of the part when installed. After about a week of frozen milk, we called back, were told the part would be ordered and that they expected in 2 days. A few days later without a call I text the guy, he says he'll go by the office and check. A week after that I text again, says the same thing. A week ago I called the office and leave a message. Yesterday another company fixed the issue for us. I don't think I've ever experienced a company with worse communication and customer service, and I have Spectrum as an internet provider... read more

I contacted Wright Appliance after "Mr. Appliance Repair" quoted me $400 to fix my dishwasher which was leaking suds from the bottom of the door.. He came to my house the same day, ran the dishwasher through several cycles and it did not leak. After spending almost an hour unable to find any malfunctions, we decided that it may have been a one-off. The next time I ran it, it did the same thing -- leaking suds. He came the same day -- at no additional charge -- and after several more tests speculated that the problem might be an interaction with the soap and my well water which was going through a very murky period. He recommended that I run it with Finish Deep Cleaner, which I did the next day. My water had started to clear. I ran it with a soap pod and it did not leak suds. Mr. Wright was very thorough and analytical in his consideration of the problem. And experienced and competent. I can recommend him without hesitation. read more

Extremely rude people. They almost turnover me with their van. Not returning calls. Nothing was properly repaired.

I do not recommend Sid Wright the owner of Wright's Appliance Repair. He came to repair my GE side by side refrigerator and charged $260.00. The work that he performed and generic part that he installed did not fix the problem. He returned and discovered another problem with the refrigerator and stated that it would cost an additional $200+ for parts that would have to be ordered. I decided at that point that I wasn't confident in spending any more money on the refrigerator to possibly have something else to repair that wasn't diagnosed. We let Sid know that we had decided not to put any more money into this 9 year old refrigerator and asked Sid if he could reimburse us for the generic part that would not be needed as it did not work and was not the solution to our problem. I was charged $102.31 for a generic defrost heater. I researched to find they cost around $14.99. We reached out to him three times to resolve this and when I spoke with Sid about this over the phone he said "No, I can't take the part back or reimburse for the part" then hung up! He was very unprofessional in the way that he handled this. I am sure I will get a faster response with this review than any phone call we made to reply that we had an additional issue with the refrigerator after the repair was made. Any additional issues should have been diagnosed at the time of the service so we could decide if it was worth spending so much to repair it or replace it. I have read many negative YELP reviews and heard from others since our experience that this guy is fraudulent. We are out $260 and now having to buy a new refrigerator. I hope this helps someone else from losing a lot of hard earned money with this person. Read all reviews on yelp and other sites and ask for personal recommendations before you trust this person. Wright Appliance repair came to our home to repair our oven - a fairly simple fix, he said, and the part would be ordered in one week. A week went by, so I called to see if the part had arrived - they said it was on its way. Two weeks passed, and I called again - they would check into it, and get back to me (they didn't). One month - they said the order had never been placed. They apologized, and said they would call me in 30 minutes when they got back to the office (they didn't). Over two months later - I have called several times a week (politely, calmly) and no one answers my calls or calls me back after I leave voicemails. Taking time off work for a preliminary inspection is difficult enough, and anyone who has a major appliance that stops working knows how difficult life becomes without it - so to have your repair service blow you off for *months* is devastating. I am completely disappointed in Wright Appliance Repair. I would warn you against doing business with them. read more

So disappointed. I've used them for years with nothing but good results. I've even recommended them to others! But this time, I've been ghosted. Like so many other reviews say here, Sid came out, diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher, said he needed to order the part, charged me for the service call...and then nothing. They took my money and did not fix my washer, and now it is leaking again. Called 4 times, including twice this morning. No one has even bothered to return my call. I don't know how I didn't see these reviews before calling this company. Too bad, we just lost $208 for a repair that didn't fix anything and they now do not return phone calls and have not come back to fix our oven. I had a second appointment with them on Monday and they stood me up, no call, no show. No one returns calls or listens to messages and the woman was very rude to me when I finally got her on the phone to complain. She said the owner would call me back - nothing. Called them to repair a washing machine. Came out, told me what issue was, said they would check on part availability and call me back. Never heard from them again. I explained that the machine couldn't function as is and that it was desperately needed. I have called and left messages numerous times and they won't call me back. I bought a new washing machine and donated the one they were to repair, which was only four years old. If only people would do what they said they were going to. Totally left me hanging and problem unresolved. read more

Mr. Wright came out to fix my washer machine and got me in the next day. He showed up timely and was very professional. He fixed the problem in a matter of mins and also fixed another problem with it. I paid the price that we agreed upon. The service was fast but Mr Wright was also very nice as well! read more

Just got off the phone with individual purporting to be owner of this company, making allegations that I had referred to his folk at Wright as incompetent. Untrue statement; I have no way to know their technical competence at all; no one called back as promised or has shown up as promised, and the "owner", who never introduced himself by name called me with defensive accusations that I had called the company incompetent. The word I used was confidence, as I have lost confidence in them doing as they represent they will. Straight up administrative snafu. Was up front with him that I was looking and considering other folk and he wished me "a nice day" and hung up. Wright company folk may be really talented, but I would suggest great care in placing your reliance on their representations. read more

I needed someone to fix my dishwasher which was not draining. Wright Appliance Repair sent someone out. They were able to get here quickly. They gave me a reasonable time window, arrived within that time and fixed my problem quickly. I even had another small unrelated question they were able to help with on the spot. read more

Dishonest scammers!! We purchased a home in July of 2018 and previous owners paid Wright Appliance to fix a broken stove burner. This included getting new part and installation. The business apparently ordered the part and then nothing happened for months. Each time I called they gave me another "story" about how this part is so hard to get and takes a long time. I also involved the listing company who worked with the sellers. They kept calling and putting pressure on them as well for months. By November of 2018 Wrights appliance finally contacted the listing office to tell them that the part arrived in October but that they couldn't get in touch with anybody. This is a blatant lie as both myself and the listing company spoke to them on numerous occasions. However, Wright Appliance told us that because of this all they are willing to do is just drop the part off. The owner of the business is not only dishonest but also terribly rude. He yelled at me and the listing agent's office over the phone as well as hang up on us. At this point it is clear to me that they never intended to fix the burner. They got paid ahead of making the repair and figured they could keep the money without much effort. By December 3rd 2018 they dropped off the part at the house we purchased. We have no way of knowing if this is even the right part or if it will fix the burner. Which now leaves us stuck with having to pay someone else to install it the part. This is a dishonest and corrupt business that scams it's customers out of money. read more

Wright Appliance Repair is the best. This is the third time they have helped me. This time I had another company tell me I needed a $450 repair. Wright came out and in about 15 seconds found the problem: a piece of glass stuck in the pump, so he took it out and the dishwasher works perfectly. He even stayed around to be sure that it ran through the cycles properly. They really know what they are doing and take pride in it. read more

In all honesty, I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews -- some were fine, some were very negative. But, my dryer wasn't heating, so... I called this morning (the scheduler was very polite, professional), Mr Wright was here at lunchtime, quickly replaced the burned out fuse. He not only fixed it, but explained to me carefully what he was doing and why. Fast, courteous, took time to answer my questions. I reached out to Wright because the exhaust fan in our oven was noisy and our microwave did not work. Sid arrived early, which was nice. He fixed the oven fan in about 5 minutes. And, greased the oven doors with a special lubricant. Told me what was wrong with the microwave and suggested I purchase a new one, as the repairs to the old one would cost more than a new one. I appreciated his honesty. He asked was there any other appilances he needed to look at. I told him our gas stove top igniters often would not work. He explained what was going on, and an estimated cost to repair. He also gave me a ballpark price to replace. I then remembered I had turned off the ice maker in the fridge because the water tube had disintegrated over the years. When I had a plumber look at it a couple years ago, he said it would be cheaper to replace the refrigerator. When I explained the problem to Sid, he immediately knew what model it was and proceeded to repair the ice maker. Sid is very knowledgeable, honest and has reasonable prices. He went above and beyond the call of duty during our service call. I will use them again, and would recommend them to anyone. read more

My Kenmore refrigerator seemed to have a major brain fart last night and I woke up this morning to a blizzard of snow inside the freezer and a big puddle of water on the floor. I called Wright Appliance and Mr. Wright said he could come loook at it, but he adivsed me to unplug it thaw out the freezer and see if that reset the mechanism. It worked like a charm. This is the second time Mr. WRight has saved me a ton of money. About a year ago he came by to fix my oven which had suddenly stopped working. He did a few minor adjustments and said it might need further work but he advised me to first see if the minor repairs he had done would be sufficient. A year later and it's still working fine. I have never had any problem getting Mr. Wright on the phone, and on the two occasions I called he was willing to come out that day. I definitely recommend him. read more

Like lots of folks, I have a refrigerator/freezer in the garage to handle the overflow from our main fridge. To make a long story short, it went on the fritz and stopped cooling. With company coming over the weekend, we were in a pickle. I called our regular appliance repair shop, but they were all booked up. So, I started calling around, using Yelp as a guide. Beginning at 7:45 am with the top rated companies, I left messages all over town. The only one that came through for us was Wright Appliance Repair. In fact, one of them didn't even bother calling back until mid afternoon. Stephanie took my call at Wright and was very professional and pleasant. She promised to get someone out .. SAME DAY ... between 12n and 2pm. Sid arrived right on time. What's more, he diagnosed the problem within 30 seconds. It was a failed blower motor in the freezer compartment. Removing the fan, he showed me how the bearings were "frozen", not from ice but from fatigue failure. He had the part on his truck, quickly changed it out, and had the fridge back running again in less than 20 minutes. How did he know what to look for, I asked. 20+ years in the business, he answered. Less than an hour after calling to schedule a repair, the owner arrived at our home. He was incredibly friendly and personable, and immediately determined the cause of the loud noise coming from our refrigerator. He gave numerous helpful recommendations to fix the problem and to prevent it from happening again, and he also gave a 60 day warranty should the problem come back. Our washer was banging and rocking in spin cycle. We called Wright Appliance Repair and left a message. Sid called back within half an hour. After describing the type of washer and problem he advised to check with manufacturer to see if there was a recall because he knows of cases where the manufacturer for this and other issues will fix the problem at no cost. There was no recall on the washer, so we called back same day and made appointment for the next day. Sid came during the time agreed and fixed the washer explaining what the issue was, having to do with the balance pieces needing to be adjusted which he did. No new parts were needed. He shared additional information regarding the quality of washer and dryer we have, stating (paraphrasing here) that any knowledgable appliance repairman has these types in their homes because they outlast three times other machines, they may need minor repairs, but they go and go. When asked if he wouldn't mind telling us about our dishwasher that did not work just a blinking light on the control panel, he said the cost to replace electronic parts and labor would be more than a new one, get a new one.
