My friend and I got permanent bracelets here in July. My bracelet is still on (it's 9/9 today) and I haven't had any issues with it yet. The welder was very kind. The bracelets are cute but I wish there had been more of a variety- especially in white gold. In addition, they are a bit expensive compared to other permanent jewelry retailers nearby- especially ones who do pricing by the inch. I would recommend it, but checking if they are doing permanent bracelets on whatever day you are thinking since it is not always an option. Wright Jewelry has a lovely new store right around the corner from their old one and it is just beautiful. And the people that work there are very polite and nice. That said, I would not recommend selling your sterling silver to them. They offered me $640 for 56 pieces of Reed and Barton sterling silverware (72 oz altogether), while Hudson Trading and Loan just around the corner offered me $1470. I can't comment on their jewelry , but I would not recommend selling your gold or silver to them. read more

I needed a Casio watchband replaced, and had both the watch and replacement band. Called up and said it was a Casio G-Shock, that uses a couple of spring pins to secure the band. Could they put on a new one? They said probably - bring it in. I drive all the way down there and the "technician" told me the band was held on by screws and that I needed to mail it to the factory for repair. I said I had changed it before and it was just a couple if standard spring pins. In a somewhat condescending way she insisted I was wrong and that she was very sorry. Took it to a different jeweler the next day and they changed the band is less than 10 minutes for $20. They laughed when I told them what the Wright person said. My advice to customers: if you get technical advice from these characters, get a second opinion. My advice to Wright: if you don't know something, just say so. It's ok. read more

I was quoted $10 to replace battery in a Seiko watch. I questioned the quote and was assured that the quote was correct. I felt it wasn't enough. Went to pick watch up and there was an added cost for replacing the gasket ring. A small piece of rubber (o-ring) and that was $10. I feel that maybe the quote was off so they came up with a crazy number on the gasket. I came into this store wanting to support local business. I was looking for a particular pendant piece from Norse mythology, a Thors Hammer, to use in a memorial for a Scandinavian friend of mine who had recently passed away unexpectedly. While a Thors Hammer is a unique religious and symbolic pendant, it isn't completely unheard of....The gentleman behind the counter snorted at my request and made a rude remark under his breath about how I must be joking. I ordered small silver engraved plaque that suppose to be mount on the back of a small silver icon with silver colored nails. I wanted silver, it is why I went to jewelry store not to sport trophy engraving place. I got something that was piece of most likely aluminum glued to the icon with double sticky tape.
