But when I picked up the ring, the whole stone was encased in a closed mounting. I explained I only wanted the 2 points of the stone to be set so light could filter through the stone. Encasing all the stone, for safety sake, prevented the beauty of the stone from being appreciated. The jeweler took it back & reduced the mounting to secure just the 2 points of the stone. It was perfect! The brilliance of the tanzanite was now set up high, blue-violet translucence was radiant & secured firmly at the points. Now the beauty of the stone could be seen. With a broken earring I wanted to wear to my daughter's wedding, I took it there to be repaired. I explained it was for my daughter's wedding so I had a real deadline for it to be done. The woman at the repair desk was helpful and told me it would be done by the deadline, 4 days before I was leaving for the wedding. When I called the day it was due to be done, the person answering the phone didn't look up my specific repair but told me they'd call when it was done. I called the next day, only to discover due to a delivery change (I was in their Natick store and learned repairs are done in Boston) it wouldn't be back in Natick until after I left for the wedding! The first person told me, after checking with Boston, that I could drive there and pick it up. That would have taken me 2.5-3 hours, not time I had the day before leaving for the wedding. That's the best she could do. I then asked to speak to the manager. While relucant to do so, they put me through. The manager was so helpful! She thought through the issue and came up with a creative solution, that did not require me to get to Boston that day but got the repaired earring to me in time for the wedding. This is a small local jeweler, a family operation, and Alan is the proprietor. He also fixed a 50 year old, wind up watch a few years ago which is still working, cut off and fixed a ring, and quickly enlarged another ring. Their prices are very reasonable. On our last visit, two battery changes and a ring adjustment cost $40. He is the only local jeweler that I have found who can change my Omega battery. Tatnuck Jewelers are located in a small strip mall in the northwest corner of Worcester. Not the easiest place to get to, but worth the drive. And don't be surprised if you see a giant dog hanging out behind the counter!

All the new in stock Rolex watches I saw were older and undesirable models. Rolex typically only slots the best new stock for the best AD's, and Date and Time is not one of them. Instead of working with the customer, they pretend to be an exclusive AD. Date and Time is hands down one of those AD's that will likely treat you like dirt (they did it to me) unless you're a long time customer or they decide that you fit the mold of their "exclusive customer". This store is an epic fail!
