The service here is wonderful and quick, which is what really makes the "drive-in" experience. There is indoor sitting, but it isn't necessary when the staff will gladly run out to your car the second you pull in. We just had the most enjoyable dining experience we've had in a good while! We decided to get off the beaten path and stopped in here for lunch and we are so glad we did!! The staff was wonderful! They were so sweet and made us feel right at home! We ordered a cheeseburger w/onion rings, as well as a chili pie and chocolate shake. All of it was fresh and tasty! Portions were a good size, as my husband and I just shared it all. Unfortunately we gobbled it up too fast to get a picture! To top it off we met the most wonderful elderly man and his daughter. We got to hear his stories of Alaska during WWII. I don't know if it was the onions or my heart aching for love of this man, but I definitely felt a tear or two fall after meeting him. We travel this road often and will certainly be back again and again!! read more

Do not pass this place without stopping! I traveled through Durant on my way to TX and couldn't have had a better experience. We were greeted when we walked in and told to seat ourselves. Our waitress immediately came over and couldn't have been more friendly. This is obviously a local place where everyone knows eachother, but we felt right at home. The drinks and food came quickly and we were checked on plenty. Food is to die for, better than any cheese tots or cheeseburger I've had. Flew in to Durant for just an hour. Airport suggested Wright's. Good old fashion burgers, fries and shakes. Had the fried chicken sandwich. It was ok but pilot friend had cheeseburger and said it was delicious. Fries could have been a little crispier. If your looking for a mom and pop place, this is it. Reminds me of the old tastee freeze's we had growing up. Staff was nice and helpful. read more

Amazing old fashion drive in. Hasn't been to one of these in so many years because there aren't many around anymore. Husband and I were on a road trip to Missouri and wanted to stop some place with a small town feel. And this is it! I had the steak fingers with tots and an old fashion chocolate shake...yum yum yum!!! Husband had the double meat cheeseburger with fries and he said it was good too. Service was great! Gal that came to our car you could tell was a good ol' country girl, and was super nice. And a hard worker too, she was the only one coming out to take orders at the cars and outside tables. This place is my favorite burger spot in town. I always get their cheese burger with fries and water, and all that comes to right over $6. Can't beat the price, with the size of the burger and order of fries. Will fill you up every time. I've also had their chicken tender dinner, and it's great as well. They can be really busy, especially during lunch on weekdays, but that's to be expected considering the quality of service and food they provide. I've called in my order multiple times, and they've never gotten it wrong (although mine was straight forward), and it's always been ready within 10 - 15 minutes max - after I arrived, sometimes sooner. The people are friendly, and if you go often enough, they'll start to call you by name. I try to go every week and support a great, local diner! Called ahead on our way through Durant. We got cheeseburgers with onion rings and tots. Everything was perfect and ready we we got there (less than 10 min). Tots and rings were crunchy and hot. Burgers were huge and made exactly like we ordered. We ended up getting a milkshake which was also amazing. You've got to try it out...this is everything you could want from and old-time drive-in.
