This review is just for the cute shop. I spontaneously stopped by here with some friends after a nice long hike and wanted to find a cute store with some homemade goodies. I was so glad to have walked in here, the store was so adorable. We were SO happy to see a whole pile of cider donuts right on the table as we walked in, and they tasted amazing! I've been trying to find cider donuts as good as theirs for the longest time, and I've been so disappointed. I've ended eating a good share of bad tasting, over-sugared, and plastic tasting cider donuts. I should have bought more from them when I had the chance! They were just so moist and cake-y. They also had a great selection of baked goodies. They carry a lot of different selections of homemade jams. I bought the triple berry. They also had pumpkin brownies and pumpkin bread. I also got a hot cup of cider. It was quite tart. The outside of the store was covered with different types and sizes of apples, pumpkins, squashes, and plants. They also have real food in the back upstairs like bbq and soups. I would love to come back. read more

Man this place was crowded on a nice fall Saturday afternoon, but I didn't mind. I was just another tourist clogging the aisles so I didn't have a right to complain anyway. There's also an orchard behind the store where you can pick your own apples and pears. In the store, the selection of fruits and vegetables was outstanding. Locally made jams, syrups and honey jars decked the shelves too. I thought the items were a bit overpriced compared to the first two place. There were so many dogs inside, which was surprising because some farm market owners don't allow pets. My dog spent a lot of time sniffing around the floors and finding all sorts of god-knows-what treats. We had a bowl of chili and a cup of chicken poblano soup and ate it outside on the patio nearby bright orange oak trees lining driveway. read more

450 acres of beautiful farm land most of it orchards, plenty of places to walk and explore and dog friendly! the owner stopped to talk and was extremely friendly and pointed areas of interest to explore. first day for apple picking for the season and they had rows and rows of apples (honey crisp, macintosh, gala). we went to another place last year that was crowded and hard to park. this is the best place we found for apple picking with a relaxed atmosphere, plenty of room to park and walk. stopped by their market which had awesome apple cider donuts and zucchini bread. we will be back at end of september or early october for more varieties of apples. read more

True upstate NY gem. It's really hard to find an apple orchard that lets you bring your pup, but this place welcomed us with open arms. Their orchard was HUGE. We had a blast picking our own apples from their wide variety. We had a picnic and the hound ran wild for hours, it was perfection. Their market was equally as awesome. We roamed around their and again, pup was welcomed with open arms. We will absolutely be returning to this place annually. read more

Such a beautiful place, staff is wonderful, price is right, plenty of apples to be picked, general store carried all home made pies, jams, donuts, and lots of parking. I visited Wright's Farm with a few friends just as the apple picking season kicked off. We had a groupon deal which was a plus but we would still have visited without it. They make it pretty easy and straight forward on how they work. Get bag, drive to orchard, pick apples, enjoy! First stop was the market/gift area where we spoke w/ someone hand painting the paper pie boxes. I wish I got her name, but I thought that was a very nice touch and much more crafty than a plain box or a sticker. Pretty much anything you can make with apples is available in the market as well as other fruits and veggies and lots of baked goods. Cider Doughnuts!!!!! I am a sucker for anything pickled so their pickled green beans are fantastic - so much so that I bought 3 jars. They had samples of various jams and salsa to try as well as food stuffs like soup and bbq to eat right on the porch. Making our way to the orchard, we parked and noticed a lot of people setting up picnics and small grills, playing catch, dogs and kids running about, the works. We left so early in the am to get here that we totally spaced on brining a picnic. As we started making our way towards a few trees, a guy drove up on a golf cart, asked if this was our first time at the farm and Colin politely introduced himself as one of the family, 5th generation. We started asking questions and he was very happy to answer all. Which apples were best for baking and which were best for just eating was probably asked more than once. He told us what was best to pick and which kinds were still too early and wouldn't be ready till later on in the season as well as offering to take a group photo for us. I liked the touch of ' say apples' instead of the traditional 'say cheese' - nice On the drive to the orchard, a barn had a sign for brewery coming soon. Of course, I had to ask about that - so maybe in 2016 there will be a nice selection of food & beer pairings to be had as well as all the other goods available??? After we picked our fill, we made our way back to the store for one last go around to make sure we didn't miss anything and maybe pick up another jar of pickled green beans... A big thank you to everyone there for giving us such a nice afternoon experience, much appreciated and will for sure be back. read more

This is my second time at this farm. I went on a Saturday around 3 pm. The market was half full and a bit busy. Orchards was pretty much empty. I was able to pick my apples with not that many people around. I have to say, if your coming from nyc is about 1:40 minute drive but is worth the trip. I love the market. The food was very good. I also bought pumpkin pies and apple pies. They were amazing. And the cider donut to die for. Can't wait until next year to go again. read more

Great reasonably price Apple picking orchard for the family and dog. Love that they are dog friendly. This place gets crazy packed during peak great weather weekends but the place is massive and with only a short walk you can find a little peace and quiet. The only downside is the lack of bathrooms. It's a bad situation if you are a woman. read more

Super-duper dog friendly which was very important draw for our family. Affordable and they have a really cute little market. I will say other apple farms do have more things for the humans in the family to do but if you are looking to spend time with your furry family members for a day -this is the place to go! read more

My family had gone here last year around the same time and had a great experience. This year, there were literally no good baking apples left on the trees. Northern spy, honey crisp, golden delicious, jonagold- all picked clean. We left with 4 of 6 unused bags, and they don't offer refunds. If you don't care what kind of apples you are picking, it would be fine, but if you are going for specific types, skip it and go to a grocery store instead. read more

We really enjoy coming here. We went November 4, 2017 and they had a lot of Mutsu (my favorite) and gold delicious apples. We did not see a significant amount of other types of apples, although maybe we were looking in the wrong places. We love that they are super dog friendly and allow well behaved dogs off leash to play, although most people had their dogs on a leash. My one comment is that I wish they had a map that showed where the different types of apples are. I would give a solid 4.5 stars. read more

Everyone there was incredibly nice, and the place is not kidding when they say they are dog friendly. My wife, my dog, and I had a blast hanging out there and picking apples. They had a nice selection to pick from, and a beautiful large space to stroll. The farmer's stand had some great treats too. Highly recommended - we will be returning. read more

This is the apple farm my family goes to every autumn. We usually get Mutsus (this time of the year is a good time for picking. It's sweet and tart), and golden deliciouses. It's $20 for a plastic bag you can stuff silly. I like checking out the shop and the 2nd floor where you can see them making apple pies (which they freeze and sell), and apple cider donuts (this year, I was upset they didn't make or sell any fresh). I bought a concord grape jam and some bread and butter pickles (all their mason jar canned preserves, jams, butters, and pickles are $16 for 3). I was just disappointed that they use high fructose corn syrup in not all, but some, of their spreads. My mom bought some good raw honey. Everyone here is very pleasant. read more

Apple cider donuts are amazing but the customer service (mostly teens) is awful. There's no clear system for getting donuts. You pay first and wait while they make them. They're fresh for sure but people were cutting the wait line because the girls just bring them out and say "I have 6" and people push to grab them. I was also told they weren't taking cards upstairs when I paid and o was sent downstairs to pay but then I went upstairs to get my order and the guy was paying with a card. So I call BS. This place could be really nice if better managed but I won't be returning. There's too many other family farms that are better run in the New Paltz area. read more

Went here with a large group of adults and kids on a Monday afternoon late in the harvest season. The orchards we were well-kept, and there were plenty of varieties apples to choose from that were not picked out. The farm store had friendly employees, and the hot cider and fudge I purchased was delicious. The apple cider donuts were gone when I was there, but that wasn't unexpected considering I shopped at the farm store minutes before closing. read more

A great place to go apple picking. The orchard is expansive and has a large variety of apples. It is well-organized and there are signs telling you where to go to pick what kind of apple. The only drawback is having to wait in line to get tickets (the place is clearly very popular). It is large enough though that you don't realize how many other people are there at the same time. The cider donuts are amazing - I am not a fan of donuts generally, but these are outstanding. They get brownie points for being as dog-friendly as they are. The outing was just as enjoyable for our dog as it was for us. read more

I got fed up with large orchards where there are more people than apple trees so this year, I decided to go to an orchard that's less crowded. After a simple google research, I found the Wright's farm and I am so glad we did. We loved the farm. We talked to the owner who was very very friendly and he said he wants people to enjoy the experience as his farm isn't as crazy busy as other ones. The apple cider donuts were out of this world....really really good..so were the pumpkin pies and apple crumb pies we purchased even though my husband and I are on a low carb diet. The apple cider was sweetest and tastiest cider we've ever had. They do give you a hayrides for fun...which is very nice of them. It's $12 for adult and $6 for kids over 5...which includes a full bag of apples and everything..i thought it was a bargain compare to other large apple places we used to go. I saw people setting up tent and bbq grill and spending the day with family just doing that. We also saw people doing parachuting which was another fun activity for my little kids. Stopped recently with my grandson for donuts. Only had a $100 bill for a $6+ purchase. Cashier said they could not accept it because they didn't have enough change. I asked her if her boss could help, maybe they have change in their safe. No, without even asking. Okay, I'll use my debit card. No, we have a $10 minimum on credit or debit. I told her that was technically not legal, and I really didn't want to buy anything else. Of course the kid wanted donuts, so I bought a $4+ bottle of apple cider, I didn't want, and which tasted like plastic so I ended up throwing it out. read more

Excellent family friendly orchard with vast variety of apples, including my favorite Fuji. Very friendly & courteous staff with free hay ride around the orchard. My kids had a blast and we will definately return. First orchard that was worth the 2 hrs trip. We also lost our car key fob, but one of the staff found it in that huge orchard. We wanted to pay for the return shipping but they offered to ship it free of charge. Thank you Samentha!! This is an amazing place not to be missed. Bought 2 hanging plants for $39.99 each. After 2 weeks both plants were dying even though we watered and deadheaded religiously. The hanging plants had a 'coco' liner and we feared there was a plastic liner between the coco liner and the soil. Talked to someone at the store and they said "I do not know why you are killing your plants" even though I showed them the plants. Did not offer anything. Did not even want to look closely at the plants. We took them apart later and sure enough, there was plastic in between the coco liner and the soil. The plants were dying from water not able to escape. After the attitude we got from the employee (not a kid), we will never shop at Wrights farm again. Money down the drain.... read more
