If I didn't have GPS, I would have never found this place. Luckily, I do. A perfect spot for a Friday afternoon pint or two if you sit outside. You can watch the waterfowl on the river, the dogwalkers and enjoy the sunshine. This is obviously a dog friendly place as there were several pooches relaxing with their owners. There was also a food truck that started serving at 4:30, but I didn't partake. The beer selection was excellent, focusing on many styles other than IPA, they had two different guest Kolsch, as well as their own in house blonde, fruit beers, sours, as well as libations for every taste. Is it OK to Yelp a brewery? Well, if so, it's not about the food. This review would be about a beverage. I'm not a huge beer guy. Bourbon is my go to preference. Came out here with a bunch of friends as part of a classic "bar hop" trek. The guys enjoyed their beers and I sought some thing non-fermented. Pursuing of a menu I noticed a drink called bourbon cream and root beer. Well, I like bourbon. I like root beer. So why wouldn't this combination be terrific? It was excellent. This kind of reminded me of a Bailey's type drink. The bourbon cream provided a content of smooth creamy taste while the root beer did not water down the experience. We sat out back overlooking the Erie canal enjoying a nice late summer Friday afternoon. Was invited here to hang out with a friend. I'd heard of it but never been. Had a little trouble finding it even with my phone's GPS - it's in an odd location, behind a strip mall with a Dollar Tree. Once you do arrive though, it has a pretty nice setup, right by the water! I was only bummed that it was uncharacteristically windy and cold and raining on and off, because it would have been lovely to sit outside and take in the view. There was a food truck, and lots of people had dogs and babies. Very wholesome family friendly vibes, and lots of games scattered about. My order from the food truck took a little time and the people I was meeting arrived long before me, so I didn't take much time perusing the menu. It's huge though, lots of options! I saw a hefeweizen and made up my mind instantly. It was pretty good. I love that they have lots of size options including samples and 1/2 pints, because I'm a lightweight and have trouble finishing full beers without feeling it. Their menu is really extensive and they have a great selection and variety sure to please all kinds of people. They even had wine slushies and cider! This seems like a word of mouth kinda place, a local neighborhood hangout. I'd go back if I was in the area, especially knowing they have food trucks sometimes. read more

This is definitely a well kept secret! I've been over this way visiting restaurants and bars for about 3 years now and I just found this place last night. This bar is a cozy quiet bar with a great atmosphere. Great for a date night starter or end cap or even a night out with friends. The bar is kinda hidden behind the dollar tree and I'm glad I found it. The bartender was eager to serve and made me feel I had been coming here for years. They don't have food, but they do get food trucks. They also will let you bring in food. While I was there I seen pizza, Chinese, and even tacos. I'm really not sure of the rules of bringing your own to eat. They have plenty on tap. They brew their own and have some taps from other breweries. I tried a variety of their own brews. I really enjoyed the flavor of the raspberry blonde, very smooth with a great finish. Even though the blonde was good I really like the green fusion. It was very flavorful with a bit more hops and more of a beer taste. Overall I liked finding this place it was fantastic. The service, the beers, the peacefulness were great. The only thing I didn't like was the music was to low. Upon my request the bartender did turn it up but still was hard to hear. My only suggestion is more speakers throughout so the music can be heard from all seats. I will definitely come back to this place! read more

This place was simple yet pleasant. Its location is a bit tricky to find as it is behind but in the same building as a karate studio/grocery store. However, once you find it its a good time. They have outside seating facing the river and a cute dog as their mascot. Their home draft beers are great and the "zach attack" despite being a dipa was light and hazy. Overall a fun place with a lot of care put into it by the owner and staff. Not necessarily worth a detour but if you're in the area its a great stop! read more

Stopped into WTs on a recent Thursday evening as my group wanted to try them out for Bingo...yes, Bingo. As team trivia regulars, we were all somewhat surprised to see that several of the local breweries are now offering bingo at their establishments. (Middle Ages is another). Free to play and winners can walk away with brewery swag. Two rounds of 5 games each- with a break in between. The whole experience lasted in the neighborhood of two hours. The night we played, nearly every seat was taken with folks playing. We were also somewhat hesitant to return to WTs for this evening. We had visited on a few previous occasions- months prior- and were all underwhelmed by their beer selections. Sure they have a spacious, pleasantly located brewery in the heart of B'ville- but their beer left a lot to be desired. Needless to say, on this evening, a new chapter was begun. Everyone in our group ordered flights, and nearly all of our selections were fantastic! So much so that we even shared our excitement with the owner/server. The smoked porter, chocolate coconut milk stout and peach milkshake IPA were all wonderful. Plenty of beer options; a few guest taps and even a handful of wines/ciders are sure to meet the needs of anyone. read more

Tap room offers $2 samples, or a flight of 4 small glasses for $5. We tried 8 of the nine Brews they had available. I enjoyed six of the eight. Not crazy about the apple or the pumpkin. Really enjoyed the Amber (smooth, mild, no bitter after taste). It's my new favorite. Also enjoyed the stout, and especially the Chocolate Stout. Staff were friendly, informative. Beer can be purchased by the glass, bottle (20 oz) or in growlers. It's small, not a bar. There's a tasting counter, and a counter on the opposite wall. Seating for about twenty. Good local brewery, good business to support! They sell gift certificates, a good stocking stuffer! read more

Stopped in on a summer Tuesday at 6:30pm. There is a small farmers type market at the adjacent open space and a by product is a solo guitar player playing music for everyone. I won't review the farmers market but I've seen better. The guitar is a nice touch as I sit here on the front patio enjoying my Amber beer, watching the Seneca river flow by. WT BREWS: My friend and I chose to visit WT to see the new venue after we had enjoyed the tasting room last May. We were both equally disappointed by the customer service and lack of interest in explaining the beers or the background of the brewery. At one point I asked about the cranberry- mango cider which would have been a great opportunity to talk about how it came to be featured there - then I asked about any written information on the beers I had chosen, and the bartender said "it changes all the time so we don't have anything." So I learned nothing and will most likely not return. The bartender also let the customer clean up a mess on the bar instead of doing it himself and when asked to refill a growler they said "it depends on what you want." it would have been much more appropriate to say, I'd be happy to, we may have run out of a few beers, what can I get you.'" I had the general overall feeling that everyone was inconveniencing the bar staff and they had no desire to be there - let alone promote the beer. #localbreweryfail read more

The beers were good. I had a flight so I was able to try 4 beers. I enjoyed the Scottish the best. My wife had a red wine and wasn't too happy. Service is so slow and not very friendly. I was hoping to get another flight of beer but waited a half and hour and nothing. I was sitting at the bar too. We decided to take off after that. The whole place is set up like a prison cafeteria. I don't really care about decor but it was like being in a storage room or something. I believe in second chances so I will go back and try again. read more

Excellent craft beer! Such a small place that we almost missed it and I'm so glad we didn't! My husband and I enjoyed 2 flights together, which took us through all the beers on tap that day. Stopped in tap room early this month, and got the best surprise! The double IPA Lemurs is one of the BEST I've had the pleasure of tasting. In my opinion is as good if not better than Prison City's Mass Riot, that Paste ranked #1 IPA in America. WT should have Lemurs available all the time, it's that good! read more
