I have had them do this in the past and gave them my info. They called me back later the same day to say that they had a 'like new' used version of the game in stock, and said I could pick it up today. I said sure and dropped in later the same dayw. The used game as 90% of the price of the new - and I found it new online for the same price - but again, I want to support local, so I went ahead and purchased it. When I got home and opened the used game was not the same as a new game. It was an older version of it, without the updated ruleset, without changes to the board and pieces. It was significantly different and less refined. We recently visited some friends and played the newer version of the game, the version that inspired us to purchase the game, the version I thought I was buying. IT was so much better than the version I was sold. I was a local, loyal customer. I could have bought the game online for the same price. I chose them, and they let me down.

If I could give the zero stars, that is where my rating would be. The owner is rude and arrogant…read more He really likes to make his problems everyone else's problem it seems. I've had multiple less than pleasant encounters that I have tried to brush off because there isn't many alternatives in the valley. He has trying to tell me a $60 item was $80, I'm assuming in hopes that I hadn't already looked at the sticker that he put on the box saying $60? Then when I pointed out that the sticker said it was $60, he decided to go on an unprovoked rant and guilt me for buying it because the distributor is hard to work with. I don't work for Bandai, I'm sorry? I also messaged the store Facebook page on a Monday to ask if they would take a trade and he told me that they are closed on Mondays and I should respect that and not message him... Like he is somehow forced to work and couldn't have just checked it the next day? The message wasn't from James Bond, it did not expire after opening and could have been responded to any of the seven days that week. It's not the customer's fault if you don't know how to take a day off? The store is clean but the inventory is very limited and rarely changes. Can't say I recommend stopping by because you'll spend longer walking inside from your car then it takes you to peruse their two shelves. One of which is just filled to the brim with basic Funkos so if that's not your thing... 1 and 1/2 shelves. I support small businesses but not bad business owners. If you were up for a short trip to Leavenworth, I would recommend Krampus Kave which is everything the time capsule wants to be with a much better inventory and more inviting atmosphere. If that's too far, this is the one time I would truly say Amazon is the better option in every way which is really sad because I do not say support Jeff Bezos lightly

Still, it's a fantastic shop to find small toys, gifts and stocking stuffers for the littles. Everything from books and games, puzzles, stuffed animals, blocks and bricks, rubber figurines, finger puppets, fidgets, dice, gag gifts and, yes, true to its name, lots of wooden toys in various forms and functions. Need a rubber band gun, or a prop plane powered by a similar elastic engine? This is your place. As someone who has recently become a father for the first time (and maybe this is the curmudgeon in me talking), but toys that provide hands-on, analog stimulation are far more enriching and engaging that the endless, mindless crap spit out by the algorithms behind YouTube and TikTok. The Wood Shop is the kind of store that specializes in the types of toys that were popular before smartphones became the ubiquitous child distraction devices that they are today. On that point alone, I'm glad it's here, and (seemingly) thriving.

Fantastic Experience at The Cove - Don't Miss Trivia Night!…read more We originally came to The Cove for a wine tasting with 2205--which was a fantastic experience on its own. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the space felt comfortable and relaxed, perfect for sitting back and catching up with friends. That's how we learned about their Trivia Night, and we're so glad we came back for it! We visited The Cove for Trivia Night and had an amazing time! I came with my husband and my dad--it was my dad's first trivia experience, and my husband and I have done a few before. This one was by far our favorite. There were five rounds, including a music and movie section that was our groups favorite. Everyone got to contribute, which made it even more enjoyable. The host was engaging and kept things running smoothly and upbeat. The service was wonderful and personable--you can really tell they care about what they've created. The space is beautiful inside and out, with great vibes and plenty of seating. We ordered the wine cocktail--so good!!!! It's located close to downtown Chelan, and while there is parking, it's also easily walkable from most spots in the area. I'd recommend making a reservation, especially for trivia night. We're not local, but we'll absolutely be back--this place is a gem!

They have a cool selection of books, and a lot of gift type things like tea, stuffed animals, bookmarks, art supplies, etc. I noticed the dinner menu and decided a cheeseburger sounded good. I ordered the Basecamp cheeseburger with bacon and a side salad. You can apparently order food upstairs and then sit upstairs or downstairs (or outside, I think). They have table service as well, after 4pm. Service was very friendly and patient. I decided to eat downstairs, and there was a cozy bar and large seating area. My burger soon arrived and it was delicious! A great toasted bun and a wonderfully substantial and beefy patty. The cheese was rich and gooey. Great, yummy combination of flavors. The salad was good too, with a nice ranch dressing on the side. A cool place that made me feel welcome and served up a great burger.

There are loads of games to choose from as well as other neat things to purchase. You pay ($9 per person), make your choice from the available games to play options, choose a spot to sit and play. Corina and a friend of hers played Let's Go to Japan on their last visit and she wanted to show it to us. We loved it! So much so that we wanted to purchase it there. Unfortunately, they didn't carry it so we will get it from a place in our town. We did purchase a couple of expansions for our Wingspan and Finspan games. There is a cafe but we showed up after dinner each time so we didn't check that out. We did get our daughter a gift card with 6 visits on it for $25. Excellent deal. Another great deal is that Thursday nights are free. We didn't know that when we showed up so we got our first visit free. We also saw they have table signs you can use: willing to teach and maybe wants to learn (?) on them. Our first visit, a man had the willing to teach sign on his table with a couple other men learning to play. Great idea! We will be in town later this year and will definitely get back there to play more games. Excellent customer service and cozy, comfortable places to be with your group.

They then accused me of being a scalper, I assured them I am the furthest thing from a scalper. I explained that I live a little ways out of town so it would be a waste of time for me to show up and not be satisfied with the price. They continued to deny providing me with a price and insisted I must be a card scalper. I am no scalper, the most I have ever bought in one sitting is a single box. But I guess they consider anyone a card scalper here and will deny selling to you or providing a price over the phone. Do Not go here!
