This gel manicure turned out well, considering the price! It's a pretty lavender color and the shop is nice and clean. The only downside was a few miscommunications on what exactly I requested. I think the glitter turned out more bright than what I was expecting, but otherwise I am pretty satisfied and I'll come again someday soon! read more

RACIST UNPROFESSIONAL UNHYGIENIC I rarely write reviews but the experience on sunday was gnawing at my head and thinking back she was an asian racist towards deep tones. The lady who did my manicure today made me feel uncomfortable the whole time. Sad you pay for this unpleasant services.. - She said she had allergies(not sure if cold), sneezing / she blew her nose into tissue twice, did not wash her hands and continued to do my manicure.. - She was rough and cut my cuticle and no apologies and I had to ask for alcohol to be applied and my finger was bleeding the whole time.. - She did a shoddy job, not thorough in her work. - She kicked my leg twice while doing manicure and did not even bother to apologize.. Okay hear me out this is far the best nail salon I've been on! Whatever design you brought Vivian the owner will make sure she'll do it as exactly you want if not she'll suggest you colors that fits your skin tone/style. I love how thorough they are too with pedicures and all their staff are well train to cut the cuticles. I've been an avid customer here almost every month since summer and never went somewhere else. It's the salon where if you feel like splurging yourself, they'll take care of you and come out happy always. The place is VERY clean and everything new. Just my luck, one of the gel nails cracked only 8 days after getting this manicure. It's a miracle the actual nail did not split as well, although I'm not sure what to do with my nail now (I really don't want to get fungus on my nail :/ ). No sort of trauma to the nail occurred, just walked out of a shower to find a split in my left index finger's manicure. Probably because they thinned them SO much to the point of them being incredibly bendy. My plan was just to grow them out for 3-4 months with jojoba oil and routine biweekly filing. Vivian introduced me to gel-X and it absolutely convinced me to go from acrylic to gel-X. She works fast and doesn't disappoint! I was able to keep my nails on for 6 weeks without any lifting! I'm really upset with how my nails came out, the ladies were very very nice and the color is great but the thumbs are simply hideous. They are just not what I wanted/asked for. I'm very picky with my nails and I explained SO clearly before the service that I absolutely hate curvy and thick nails and want it natural. I've been doing these same nails for over 10 years and have almost never seen someone make them this thick and curvy. All of the nails came out insanely curvy, which makes my hands look chubbier than they are. If you are someone who's particular about your nails, just don't go here for acrylic. I had really high hopes because the ratings were good but they just didn't deliver :( For reference I attached the photo of what I wanted- Almond, medium length, and very natural. It's a small and nice place. Everyone is nice and they did exactly what I wanted. The only thing is the day after i got it done the big diamond on my middle finger fell off on the other hand. The price for my nails was actually more than i expected but is also worth it in the end. But overall it was a good experience. I came in for a gel pedicure and still had gel from my last pedi. The woman who was assigned to me removed my gel by yanking it off with nail clippers, which wasn't pleasant. Then, she clipped part of my skin while removing the cuticles. And she then filed my skin aggressively instead of my nail. When I flinched and yelled in pain, she had the nerve to ask me if it hurt, and she acted like I was the problem. That is my skin you are filing. The end result was not great. I have a small cut from her. My nails aren't even and I have gel on my skin. I wouldn't recommend this place. $55 for a below average gel pedi experience that was not relaxing at all. If I want to be on edge, I'll just hang out with aggressive tiger moms. Thanks but no thanks. Don't be fooled by these positive reviews. read more

Called to set an appointment but arrived earlier than expected. The guy (owner?) immediately offered me a bottle of water as I wait. The salon was clean and chairs looked new. If I understood correctly, they have matching shades for gel and regular. Lilin(?) worked on my regular pedi and Emy(?) worked on my gel mani. Both ladies were very thorough and particular. I was even given disposable slippers. I'm very pleased with the service and it was all for $45. I live and work in Irvine and that's such a deal. The employee also focused on her work without being checked in when a customer came. When I asked why I couldn't get nail care at the my scheduled time, she replied very rudely.
