Other than simple nail polish, I have never gotten any sort of Gel-X or Gel builder done on my nails before so I didn't know what to expect. Annie was extremely patient and knowledgeable. She looked at the nail inspo I wanted to achieve for my engagement shoot and helped me understand what options would work. She also took the time to explain the differences in gel builder and Gel-X and provided a timeline for maintenance for each option. Annie knocked it out of the park! She executed the design with a great level of detail. She took her time to make sure I liked the shape of the nails, design, and length since I type a lot for work. First time coming here and I'll definitely be back. The salon was clean, professional, and smelled great when I walked in. I booked online and was taken in right away. Jolie did my pedicure and did a good job on my calluses. Mia did my manicure and gave one of the best hand massages I've had -- great pressure and very thorough. I have thin, short nails and didn't want gel on my hands or toes. I appreciated that they weren't pushy or trying to upsell me. They were also honest about recommending no polish on my hands for now so my nails could heal, instead of just doing it anyway. I really respected that they cared more about nail health than making an extra sale. The products they used felt high quality, especially the moisturizing mist, scrub, and mask. Overall, a great experience and I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, professional nail salon. read more

I have been to many nail salons in Orange County, but Charming Nail Lounge is my go-to. Ever since Vickie started doing my nails, they have been growing well and I no longer have breakage. I alternate between dip powder with gel and refillable hard gel nails. Vickie has excellent attention to detail, and my nails are always even and perfectly shaped. For pedicures, Jolie is my favorite. I get the candle wax pedicure, which leaves my feet and legs so soft. My pedicures also last a long time, even though I prefer regular polish on my toes. So if you are still debating this is your sign!! Go in, unwind, and leave feeling polished. Bonus points if you sip on a warm cup of chamomile and goji berry tea while you're there. The nails only lasted 5 DAYS.. :( I got french tip gel builder nails with rhinestones and by day 1 most of the rhinestones had fallen off and by day 5 the actual gel started coming off. For the most part, I liked the experience especially the light callus removal scrub and the massage; however, the tech used the filing drill too much on the top cuticle of my big toe and it's been hurting since. I was really excited to try Charming Nails since it's new and close to home, but my experience was extremely disappointing. I spent about $120 on a gel manicure and pedicure for my daughter's first birthday, and by the next day my nails were already chipping. I called right away, and when I went back a couple days later, almost all of my nails were chipped, which has never happened with gel for me. ( the girl that did my manicure was Xuong) Instead of apologizing, the woman up front was rude and told me I'd have to wait 30 minutes because it was "more than one nail." ( mind you I had made an appt the day I called to let them know if my chipped nail) As a mom who arranged childcare just to fix this, I didn't have time to sit around, so I asked them to remove the gel . To top it off, the pedicure was poorly done and even caused a blister. The guy who removed the gel was very kind, but the customer service from the manager/front desk was awful. They offered to redo my nails at the end of it all when they saw my disappointment, but after such poor quality and attitude, I didn't want to risk it again. I got two fills after the original service. Each time I was increasingly nervous that my nails were being overfilled as I began noticing rings of fire. In the week leading up to my removal of the builder gel, I was increasingly anxious about how to avoid further damage to my nails. What I don't understand, and I'll take full ownership of my ignorance or naïveté, is why a supposedly soak-off gel is still e-filed off. From everything I've read to try to figure out why I always get rings of fire after these services, it's from improper e-file technique. Even after showing pictures of the nail damage I was seeking to avoid, even after tipping extra, it's unavoidable. It seems like no matter what, my nails get busted. Will be taking a break from all nail salons including this one until I see some evidence of humane removal without overfilling. Enough is enough. I came home to immediately coat my nails in strengthening polish, so no pictures of the raw removal result, but you'll see the ridges anyways... Look- the designs they can execute are cute, the techs are nice. But the aftermath isn't worth it. read more

This salon gives good customer service but....their payment procedures leave little to be desired. They offer a 5% discount if you pay cash. They have a cash machine there which I know I'd pay the equivalent of 5% in bank fees. When I used my credit card, they charged a 2.75% fee. I truly wish I could give Charming Nail Salon five stars because the atmosphere, management, and most of the staff are absolutely wonderful. The management especially was super, super sweet and went above and beyond to try to make things right. But today was a really hard experience for my mom. She actually ended up crying in the salon because of one employee who treated her terribly. My mom was kindly trying to correct something that was going wrong with her nails, and instead of being understanding, the girl screamed at her and yelled. It broke my heart to see my mom, who is always polite and generous, treated that way. She was so upset and ended up having to switch to another nail tech. Thankfully, Van stepped in and did a much better job on my mom's nails. Van was professional, kind, and patient, and we are so grateful for her. My mom even tipped her $100 because that's just the kind of person she is gracious and kind, even after being made to feel so miserable. For transparency, I even added a picture here of the girl with short black hair who treated my mom so poorly because no one deserves to go through what my mom did today. It's really sad because this place is newly opened, and I had high hopes for it. I still think the atmosphere and management are excellent, and I know I'll be back because of people like Van who truly care about customers. But I can't overlook how hurtful and upsetting this was for my mom. I hope this review helps the salon make sure no one else has to go through what she went through!! read more
