I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely frustrating. I arrived with a professionally done Gel-X set that was only about two weeks old and still looked great. I only wanted the length shortened while keeping the same shape. Instead, the shape was changed, the nails were repeatedly filed by two different technicians, and the final result looked nothing like what I requested. When I returned to discuss the issue, I tried to work toward a reasonable solution. It became clear that the nails needed more than a simple reshape, and I asked whether they could be properly corrected. That request was denied. The manager, Kim, handled the situation very poorly. I felt she spoke to me in a raised voice in front of other customers, was dismissive of my concerns, and repeatedly insisted that there was nobody above her to speak with. Rather than helping resolve the issue, I was repeatedly told to communicate by email. Because no reasonable correction was offered, I ended up having all of the product removed entirely. So after paying $95, I left with no nails at all. The nail service was disappointing, but the customer service was even worse. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

I never ever left a bad review but this experience was very disappointing. I called in to see if I can get an appointment for early morning the next day and they had some availability which is wonderful. The place is very pretty, local, and spacious. My nail tech was sweet. I have been growing out my natural nails for about 3 months and wanted a cat eye French tip on natural nails. The lady started off by trimming flat the top of my nails (I wanted a pointed almond, I will include the inspiration picture and the result) and then filed them down. The nails are now way shorter than before but what is worse is that they are more "triangle" like and uneven. I was nipped quite a few of times during cuticle work which resulted in stinging but thankfully no bleeding that I noticed. Through out the process I was never shown the colors, the Baltic just chose what she taught would match the inspo but never consulted with me if this is the right color. Not once have I seen the available palette. For base I only got one coat of very sheer (beautiful but sheer) gel polish so you could still see all my natural nails. The French tip is not the worst but when layered cat eye gel on top, there wasn't much cleaning done. In the end I have uneven French tip with cat eye "specks" where they shouldn't be, kinda overflowing. In the end it looked like my nails are dirty which isn't the best look for someone working in the restaurant business. I will have to redo my nails at a different location tomorrow. It costed me $57 + tip which I don't think is a fair price for the quality of work received. read more

I usually never post reviews but I went in to get my gel x nails removed and the worker told me to do so builder gel and cut them short bc my nails would be thin. I said no I wanted them off. This review is based on my comparison for other places where I received the same service. In the past, nail technicians have asked me throughout the process to let them know if my nails feel hot... she did not and my pinky nail was in searing pain and I worry for the health of my nails while it's thin. When I told her it hurt she said " I told you it would be thin". I told her I get that and I didn't know she would sand that fine... coincidentally, after I told her that none of the other nails hurt... I have been coming here for (at least 5) years for a basic pedicure. My mom now owns a hair/nail salon and I still come here! It's clean, has good color selection, great prices, and I can typically get an appt same day due to the volume of staff here (this is the best part for me). I don't get anything fancy so I never ask to be with a specific artist and I still get consistently good results. The staff are always pleasant and listen/action a couple tiny requests I have (not my experience the times I happen to go other places). The music is a good volume and they have TV with subtitles if you want something to watch. I always get a champagne (free!) when I come. Today, I also want to give a shout out to Camille at the front, she was very attentive to both the customers and her co-workers. Anytime something happened in the salon she immediately responded. There was a sad little girl she showed the fun swinging chairs to. A nail polish fell and broke and she came right away to ensure the customers didn't step in it and helped with cleaning it up (like, bent floor level to make sure all the glass got picked up). And for me, I brought my nail polish (I always get the same color so it prevents me looking for it on the shelf) that leaked and sealed shut making it hard for my nail girl to open. She quickly came over and offered to help clean it so it opened easier. I also noticed all the nail girls go talk to her between clients. That showed me she's kind and approachable to the team. Went in wanting acrylic, the nail tech convinced me to do gel X and I asked her if it was the same price and she said yes (which is a lie gel X is more expensive than acrylic). I showed her a pic as soon as she sat down of the almond french tip i wanted. When she was done, I looked and saw that they looked nothing like the picture that I showed her and she put no nude base coat on so you can see my real nail all the way through and two nails are so crooked no angle makes them look good. I got a classic manicure done by Ann and the nail drill slipped 3 times as she was taking off my previous polish. I'm not sure if it was from the drill or cuticle cutting but my pinky finger started bleeding and I have a relatively deep cut healing on the side of my pinky now. I've never had such a rushed and injury-laden manicure before. I was also charged $5 extra for gel removal. The front desk said it'd be $5 but it ended up being $10. The polish was also applied so thick and unevenly. It looks ok from afar but you can definitely see the bumps and gaps close up. Super cute nail salon! I took my mom here for early Mother's Day pampering after the super hero 5k at the Irvine regional park. Very accommodating, I called 15 minutes before arrival and they had space for us. Nice color selection, professional nail techs, and they serve champagne! Went on my lunch break (I guess this was on me) but I've been here before and they were fairly quick with services every time so I thought I would be done in max 45 minutes. I asked for a Signature Pedicure with Gel and the lady that took me had shoulder length brown hair and cat eye glasses and wore a teddy bear shirt. I picked a shimmery peachy shade and waited for her to start. She was definitely working at a leisurely pace like she was taking a nice stroll in the park. Maybe I should have said something along the lines of "I'm kind of in a hurry" but I didn't want to be THAT customer. At every step it seemed like she was out of practice and grabbing tools multiple times after she put them down as if she forgot how to do it. She was scrubbing my calluses for at least 5 minutes each food and I felt so bad for her because she kept shaking her arm like they were sore. Long story short, she either seemed inexperienced or just taking her time. She even told me that next time I should wear something shorter than skinny jeans so that she can give me the scrub. That was when I apologized and told her that I came on my lunch break. I thought that would have been clue enough to go faster but she kept the same pace. At this point, I was pretty over it. Then I look over at my toes and realize she was painting them a shimmery hot pink!! They still looked good but I specifically asked for the shimmery peach color. I didn't have time to have her start over so I went with it. I then asked if I could start the process of paying the bill while she was trying to give me the oil massage that's included with my package and she gave me a blank stare. That's when I realized there may have been a language barrier. Thankfully, the girl working at the front who often organizes the schedule (receptionist? manager?) swooped in and gave me the bill and reiterated to my tech that I was on my lunch break and needed to leave now. I've never had a truly bad experience but I haven't really had a fantastic one. I try really hard to be a good customer but I simply didn't have time to leave feedback. My toes look good but I'm hoping that the manager can try to talk to this employee about making sure her services are efficient. read more

Returned to the salon a couple of times in the past year and have not been satisfied with the quality of my nails and the service that is provided. I got my nails done for a long trip I had coming up and I asked them to do round short without filing because the nail would become too short. Once the gel x nail was already cured, stuck onto my nail, AND filed I told them it was not what I wanted. But instead of removing it we just filed it even smaller to be a better shape. I did not want to tell them to redo everything because at that point it was too late and would take a long time to soak off and reapply. At the end, you can see my nails peeking out from the side of the tip. I let them know about my dissatisfaction of the size and shape of the nail, as it clearly did not fit my nail. And all the nail artists said "it's cuz your nail beds are small. The way it looks is normal". I even showed them proof of nails I've done previously that obviously fit my nails well. I do my own nails at home and I told them that the tip fits perfectly well and doesn't have my nails peeling on the sides. I understand that it is the client's responsibility to tell them whether they are satisfied or not by the end of the process and make adjustments if needed. However, I would say that 1) they should be able to tell if a nail top fits or not 2) they should have asked me EARLY ON if I was satisfied with it and if not, to not move on but to immediately remove it and 3) be more gracious in addressing the error. I had to "prove" that my dissatisfaction with the work was valid and I still left unhappy with what I had. I eventually got a reluctant 10% back off the cost... but I definitely think that this place is hit or miss in terms of getting the look that you want and getting the service that you deserve. read more

I have been coming here for YEARS. But this was my first time with Susan. I have never written a bad review before, but these nails are so horrendous. I can't even go back to her to fix them because she's simply a terrible nail tech. I asked her to clean up the cuticle area multiple times as they are uneven and misshaped, but somehow she refused to see anything wrong with her work. It was so awful that she had to use scissors to remove the enormous amount of excess gel nail polish from my skin (which she would have kept on I had I not asked her to take it off). I wanted a nice relaxing day at the nail salon and left feeling very frustrated, as I am now going to have to spend money somewhere else to fix them tomorrow because they look so terrible. The experience left me feeling very uncomfortable and upset as Susan was getting frustrated with me for pointing out obvious flaws that she was seemingly unaware of (misshaped nails, uneven polish, polish on the skin, and gaps in polish on the nails). While most of my experiences here have been quite pleasant, Susan's lack of effort and unprofessional attitude was very disappointing. So most times I come here are great. But my last visit, the person who did my gel manicure made 3 of my fingers bleed... it was so uncomfortable by the end that I just didn't want to talk. There was a different person doing my pedicure at the same time and she was phenomenal so it pains to make this updated mixed review. When doing a manicure, slow it down. don't remove skin so deeply... today is the day after my manicure and there's three dark red scabs on my nail beds. they're noticeable and thankfully i don't have an important event this week but if i did, i would be even more unhappy about my manicure. read more

Thank you to John for a great French Gel manicure! He really took his time in making sure my nails were shaped well suited to my nail size and finger length. I had a couple of nails that had just broken and he made them look as natural as possible and matched them as best as he could - they look great!! John was super kind and actively asked me if there was anything I would prefer or if there was anything I didn't like before putting my nails under the lamp. One nail got messed up while in the process of layering and he was very patient + it looks like it never happened! He also offered me a beverage which was really nice.
