I live NEXT DOOR to their business so I wanted to support my local business. I explained my battery light kept flashing on and off and did they have time to visibly look at it (thinking maybe the connections may be bad). I was willing to wait if indeed the battery was the problem for a repair. It couldn't have taken more than 5 min to just look. The woman on the phone didn't ask any further questions, just dismissed me and said we don't have any openings today. Horrible customer service. Uncaring, inflexible and rude. Definitely no "going above and beyond" or "fitting me in". I'm an older single woman with grandchildren to drive around. So disappointed.

I've bought a car or two and this was the part I was expecting some pressure to purchase some additional protection package or have the numbers previously agreed to change somehow. I could not have been more wrong. Mr. Samy made the paperwork end of the process enjoyable. I was offered add ons to the purchase, but all I had to say was "no" and that was the end of it - no pressure whatsoever. All the numbers previously agreed to were accurately reflected on the purchase contract. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole paperwork end of this process and that's because of the friendly attitude and professionalism of Mr. Samy. Once the paperwork was complete, the car was out front and Mr. Hacker took over an hour with me explaining all the new features of the car I was about to drive 16 hours back home. He was knowledgeable, patient and thorough in his explanations. It seems un-needed, but I hadn't ever sat in the driver's seat of a car with all the technology this car has. I don't need to sing the praises of Cadillac - you either appreciate them or you don't. I do sing praises for Boucher Cadillac and I wouldn't do it if I didn't mean it. The place is full of friendly, happy professionals and if you are going to buy a Cadillac, you will enjoy the experience at Boucher Cadillac - even if you buy from out of state and have to drive 16 hours back :)

After taking the car to my regular mechanic, I learned that besides body work, the frame had been bent on the car and also needed to be adjusted. I dropped off the car at Downtown Auto Body and got an estimate right on the spot. I worked with Joey who was very easy to talk to about the car issues and what could be done. Over the next few days I waited very nervously while the car was being worked on. I have had a few bad experiences with mechanics over charging, throwing last minute charges in and overall taking advantage of me because I am a woman. When I called to check on things and re-confirm the pricing, Joey thoroughly explained everything that was being done to the car and why it was being done, as well as give me a solid confirmed estimate on the charges. He left me feeling very confident that they were doing a great job on all of the repairs on the car. I felt really relieved after talking to him on the phone and was happy he took the time to explain everything. The day I picked up the car I was really impressed with the great job that they had done. Though they needed to keep the car a few days longer on the frame rack due to the frame being bent so far, they managed to get it back on track, made all of the repairs and even cleaned up some scrapes on the bumper for no extra charge. Best thing was that the costs came to nearly $1000 cheaper than I and my boyfriend had initially assumed it would cost. I waited a few weeks to write this review to test how well the repairs held up and they are all holding steady with issues. I highly recommend Downtown Auto Body to anyone needing body work done. The place I used last year - no longer does it, the place I used the year before - no longer does it. I had to search & make a few phone calls before I found a place. Quick and efficient, the state does not seem to pay facilities to do these emissions testing enough for them to continue from year to year. It pretty much brings folks to establishments, which in turn, brings awareness of the business. My vehicle is not that old, still under warranty. I would love to support this shop, once I don't have warranty coverage. Next time I need emissions they probably won't be doing it. Our state needs to support the effort better.

The next day Danny called me 12 times and left three messages saying "call me." I returned the call after hours and said "why are you blowing up my phone?" I never heard back. He had cleared my check engine light, saying he couldn't find any problem. Needless to say, the check engine light is back on and the car is barely drivable now. I'm taking it to a different mechanic to see what it is they missed, because they obviously missed something.
