felt like I was an inconvenience from the first phone call and went down hill from there I do not recommend

3 Strikes and you are out 1) Took an import to them to fix a part on a retractable roof. Was clearly out of their league because less than a week later the part cracked again. Took it to the dealer and they fixed it. Roof was out of alignment. Mander should have considered that and said out of their league - figure out the source of the crack not just replace the damaged part. 2) Took truck to get assessment of some damage on panel and door. Was told by their estimator that they couldn't fix it. Then after some push back found out that particular location couldn't fix, it but their Waukesha one could. Very condescending tone and dont want to be bothered attitude 3) Took truck to Waukesha to address above issue. Repair was good, however got home to find that some stuff wasn't connected. Hour drive back to Waukesha and an hour back home. No apology for missing the connection at all.. like my time wasn't worth anything. Sort of annoyed to be bothered attitude. I will say the work on the truck was pretty good, but we have another vehicle that needs some door dings and scrapes address. That repair work (have 5 cars) will be with someone that matches the hype on the radio around customer service etc. read more

While out of town,my daughter was using my car and was grazed on the right rear quarter panel leaving 2 large scratches. Took it to Mander just to see if it could be buffed out. My car was being bought back under lemon law, and needed some minor cosmetic repairs done. The guys were able to get me in and out in one day, for a very fair price. They are the only shop to ever work on my vehicles, and will likely remain that way. They price competitively, and if any issue comes up, they are first to notify me. Zero Stars....I would caution you... DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT bring your vehicle to Mander Collision. They should not be in business. I did not trust the work that was done at Mander and took it directly to Mazda to have them inspect my vehicle. As I quote, from Russ Darrow Mazda, "It's a miracle that you made it here alive." I put my life in jeopardy driving it off Mander's lot and driving it to the Mazda dealership. For the past five weeks, I've experienced a living nightmare working with them. My 2018 Mazda was involved in a fender bender collision back in June. My car was at Mander for almost five weeks. Five weeks for a MINOR fender bender. Every time I was told that it was ready to be picked up, I didn't even leave the lot without finding an issue....squeaking coming from the rear tire, a dent in the back bumper that hadn't been repaired, picking it up and it sounding like a lawn mower. These are just some of the issues over the past five weeks. Notes from Mazda: The rear sub frame was completely bent. Somehow Mander installed a rear control arm without replacing the sub frame. The rear control arm was not installed properly and the spring was hanging off my vehicle. My entire back end could have given way, the tires could have fallen off, and I would have never made it to Mazda. It's a miracle that I did. The fact that Mander did not install the parts of my vehicle properly, nor did they completely fix all of the problems, is beyond concerning. I hope this never happens again. Do not take your vehicle there. They don't know what they're doing. read more

Had damage to a car in storage. Just a simple 1 ft scratch about 1/8 inch deep. Sent pictures for an estimate. After two weeks they told me the guy doing the estimates was on vacation. I told them to send it to one of their other shops. A month later I still have not heard from them. This should is a good indication to how you will be treated by Mander. read more

Another top quality job. We've used Mander on several occasions in the past, and had the opportunity to do so again after some inconsiderate *@#$@ scraped the side of our 2014 Acura MDX in a parking lot. Mander did a great job fixing the repair, just as they always have, but what set them apart in this instance was that they evaluated the damage and determined we could use their 'Express VP Repair' service to buff and touch up the damage rather than doing a much more expensive 'conventional' repair. They not only did a great job, but also saved us a considerable amount of money (the express repair was much cheaper than our insurance deductible). No more dents, paint job was perfect (it's pearl white so I was a little worried), service was fantastic as they got it done in ONE day, and the list goes on. I chose to go with Mander to repair our 2013 Civic. Mander's quoted price was slightly higher than the other place I visited, but not by much, and the people at Mander were very polite. Throughout the whole process, the people I interacted with were always polite and professional. They also did a great job with the repair itself. My car looked good as new when they were finished. A couple of problems I had: 1. It took longer than I was told it would take to make the repair. Not a huge deal, but annoying. I even called them after several days to ask when it would be done, and they said it would be done the next day, but it wasn't. 2. When I went to pick up my car, I had to pay out of pocket for the repairs, since Mander hadn't received payment from the insurance company yet. After I paid, the insurance company also sent their payment, meaning that Mander was paid twice for the job. This was not Mander's fault. What was their fault was that it took them a very long time to get the money back to me. I had to call and remind them on two separate occasions to mail the check to me. The first time I called, they said they'd send out the check the next day, and the second time I called (about five days later), they still hadn't sent out the check. They were apologetic for this mistake and polite, and I now have received the check. OVERALL, my experience was OK. They were very polite and did great work, but every step of the process took longer than I was initially told. read more

Great Company to Work With!!! My wife's new BMW X5 was rear ended by drunk driver who had no insurance on the interstate. The whole back in was smashed in!! We took it to Mander to get an estimate and they were all very professional. The car was fixed in 4 days and you can't even tell that the car was ever hit!!! While the car was being repaired they paid for a loaner car since she didn't have that coverage on her insurance and they also give a life time warranty on the work they do. A deer ran into our 2005 Hyundai Sonata and we took it straight to Mander. They had done excellent work for us before, and we experienced the same this time. The car looks better than it did before we took it in and we really felt like they listened to our concerns and took those things into account. The Thanksgiving holiday caused things to take a little longer than we expected, but we had a rental car through our insurance so this didn't cause any real issues. I had a rear quarter panel with parking lot damage so I went to Manders for an estimate. The estimate seemed fair @ $400 and would be done in one day, perfect. Scrapes & scratches not too bad, quarter panel seam to next panel needed to be realigned also. I came back 8.5 hours after drop off to pick up my 2017 Ford Edge. The quarter panel had not been touched although the rest was complete. I had to go back for the realignment to panel 2 days later witch took about 30 minutes, how was that missed the first day? They told me my car would be ready in 7-10 days - it actually took 28 days, and I'm pretty sure the only reason it got done then is because I started calling every other day and got my insurance agent involved. Also, they said they would clean out the glass shards from the accident - buuuut they didn't do a good job since I'm still finding them. Excellent body shop, just had a few repairs on my truck bed and it looks perfect. The paintless dent work they do is truly exceptional.

Not a fan. Our car has been there for a week and a half for a small dent repair. When they finally told us it was ready, they had to jump start our car because somehow the battery was discharged. Mind you, this is a 2017 car. Then when we drove away, the car had a warning alarm going off. We returned the car immediately and were told they will work on it. Now they had to take it to the car dealership for them to fix the problem. Now, 16 days later, the car is still "being worked on". They say they're sorry but have not for a moment offered a discount or anything else to make up for our hardship. We have a program at my work about delighting the customer. Not feeling it from Mander. They are an American Family authorized repair center. Maybe they should reconsider this arrangement. Holding out hope that they will fix our car and provide something other than empty platitudes. read more

While coming home on a road trip from Memphis, a fist-sized piece of road concrete flew up and hit the rear panel of our 2011 Prius, neatly making a half inch cut across the metal of the car. Not nice, but it happens. So, our insurance agent suggested we go to Mander for the repair, and we are glad we did. The front desk receptionist and Meander tech who gave us the estimate were courteous and friendly. Since it would take several days to repair, we received a loan car to use. Over promised and under delivered. The shop was packed with cars in Jan 2014 due to the recent icy conditions. The car wasn't ready when they told me it would be. They damaged trim when they buffed and cracked a molding .... I had to go back to get it fixed ... now two years later it is rusting. And all they will do is sand blast and repaint ... no new metal. "It's the policy", I was told by the president. I don't trust them to "make it right". I don't trust them at all! read more

Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Absolutely zero communication from them about the status of our vehicle, updates, etc. Dropped vehicle off on a Tuesday morning at 9 am, was told that we will call you with updates & if we need anything. 2 days later I called to see if they had a time line of anything & was told that they just looked at it and needed approval from Insurance for another $1,000 (which they just requested & were waiting). Next morning I called my insurance agent to find out if they received anything from Mander and was told that they already approved it & sent correspondence. After work on that same day, I called (around 5 pm) and was told "Oh yea, we just got the approval from your insurance, we'll start working right away tomorrow morning. We can't make any guarantees but it's looking like next week." The following week I received no phone calls until I finally called on Tuesday & was told that they were waiting for paint to dry & then it would be reassembled. Didn't hear anything for 2 days, decided to call on Thursday and the guy I was working with was gone on vacation! Are you kidding me? The lady I talked to said that it had to be detailed & looked over, that IF it were to get done tomorrow, the earliest it would be done was between 5-6 pm, but that she'd call me. Otherwise it would be another day. Waited for my phone to ring all day on Friday, didn't receive a phone call by 5 pm, so I decided to call them to find out an ETA. Lady who answered said she'd look into it & have them call me back. Got a phone call back at 515 & was told that the vehicle was finishing up in the wash and would be ready in 10-15 minutes. But they close in 45 minutes (6pm) and I had to be there before that! I asked why they didn't call me & they said they don't call until they receive the keys in hand & that she told me it would be done at 5-6. I live 35 minutes away, no way I could have made it there in time during rush hour traffic. They had our van for 11 days, for a damaged bumper (due to a moving tire that we hit on the interstate while on vacation). Original estimate for a new bumper, bracket for the light, miscellaneous items (part for the high noise horn) was $2,200. Understandable. Then they put in a request to insurance for another $1,000. We didn't find this out until we contacted them looking for updates on the van and were told that they couldn't do anything until their request was approved. What request? For what? They never called and told us anything! My wife was told that they didn't anticipate having to replace a few items originally.. She's not a mechanic and didn't understand what they were saying, but she did understand that apparently they didn't know either! During this entire 11 days of having our vehicle, they only initiated one phone call. And I suspect that it's only because we were pestering them with phone calls looking for updates since we hadn't gotten any at all! You'd think that they would keep you, the customer, updated with vital information. Every time we called, we got the sense we were being lied to or that they were beating around the bush. Truly should not have taken 11 days to fix our fender bender. I blatantly caught them in a lie the day I called my insurance agent asking if they approved the extra $1,000 at 8 am and then I called Mander at 5 pm to be told it just got approved a few minutes ago. What did you do all day? The quality of work that was done (final product) was good. Our van looks like it did (exterior) prior to the accident. Not sure what their detailing entails.Typically whenever I've had a detail done on any vehicle, it has been vacuumed out, wipe down of everything interior, and included a wash (which shouldn't take 8 hours in a day)... The inside of the vehicle looked like it did when we sent it in! Messy. We have 4 kids under the age of 7. So it's messy. I gave them a 2 because they did fix the fender bender to pre existing conditions. The headache that was involved though, the lack of communication, and lies. Not worth it.
