"mr jimmy" while much too civilized to be page incarnate is for sure the absolute best at what he does. the experience is essential if you have any interest in knowing why the original band is still considered the progenitor, the ne plus ultra as it were, of modern heavy metal/blues rock. i won't go on lest i descend into mindless fandom. let's leave it the same as my previous review, if you failed to see the original led zeppelin in msg or wherever, back when it mattered, and you're curious, book tickets next time - one hopes they'll do it here again.

The Great Lawn in front of the main building ie the Montalvo Center allows picnics without reservations - just set up camp under a tree. There's a very well maintained Italian garden right next to the great lawn with varieties of succulents, a pagoda like structure and cedars. Also saw a wedding in progress while we were there and it is such a beautiful location for it! I will definitely visit again to explore the trails. Parking can be a little hard on weekends but you gotta just wait till a spot opens. If the event venue is booked out - that makes parking harder since they reserve a lot for guests. Raffle for a 10 person dinner onsite. Gift shop with crafts to buy. Have more time can explore grounds. Was encouraged to take home the floral centerpieces which had plastic floral bags to aid with transport. If don't have a generous friend to treat you to luncheon, can purchase tix for $75. I was excited to learn they host Sunday high teas in November before Thanksgiving. Will add to my Yelp! High Tea collection.

Pros: - Class filming is professional and very quickly published - AMAZING sales on class point bundles! I snagged one during their Black Friday sale and a single class came out to ~$16. Beats any other studio in the area. - Incredible pop-up/master classes. I don't know how they have the connections they do but they get some really big names (Sean Lew, Bada Lee, Kiel Tutin) Cons: - Some weekly teachers do not have the training to be teaching (esp jazz funk). Feels more like they are dancing for themselves to get a good video on their social media. See below for instructors I LOVE and would recommend. - Website can be buggy; I've had friends who were charged for points that did not show up in their account. Thankfully, the studio is decently responsive over Instagram but definitely keep an eye on your account/credit card when purchasing points. Instructors I highly recommend: Brittany (Beg Plus Jazz Funk) - soo much experience as a former NBA/IFL professional dancer! Brittany always brings great energy and really gets to know the dancers in her class. Her choreography is more on the beg/int side, so a good challenge for anyone new to dance. Musicality is always on point! Nate S. (Beginner Choreography/Foundations Camp) - THE best intro class for those just starting out! Nate is highly encouraging and his class is definitely a judgement-free zone. I've been dancing for nearly a decade and I still attend his foundation classes because he breaks things down so well. Also love that he teaches hip hop terminology!

It's a very relaxed environment, they learn new routines once a month and they package the class bundle this way. I like this better because my daughter doesn't want to do recitals or performances but just likes to dance for the sake of dancing. Teacher Claire is very patient and kind. FYI in case people were wondering- They teach the classes in English and we are not a mandarin speaking family.

EDM was exceptionally danceable, not too annoying as I previously dreaded I might not like the music. After a few of them, I've got my dance move back. Overall music was mid, it engulfed tempo but lacked melody. The only memorable piece was "Danza Kuduro". That was the highlight of the night. I wish DJ leveled up his musical taste. Respectful and courteous staff from bartender to securities; ample dance space; tidy and well organized setting; reasonably-priced and refreshing mocktail; and clean restroom, this place's dope! Bottle service is quite pricey but that is expected with the service that comes with it and the VIP treatment.
