The service was fast and good. It's a nice Irish pub . Had a nice vibes Restrooms were clean and the seating area was well maintained. The music was good too. Although as the night went on , there were way too many Spanish songs back to back which might not be fun for folks who don't understand Spanish (aka me) Did not try the food options here .

A night out in Mountain View wouldn't be complete without a stop at Molly MaGees! If you like Irish/Dive bars, this is fun place to enjoy a night out with 21+ friends. They've got plenty of beers on tap, ample bar seating that wraps around, pool table and a beautiful outdoor seating area. On Wednesdays it's whiskey Wednesday so Jameson shots for only $4.50, that dangerous! Beers were around $7 and Irish car bombs were around $11. Reasonable prices and different type of specials each day. I forgot how much I love playing pool. The table is $1/game, quarters only. Our group ended up staying and playing pool with randoms, playing both 1on1 or doubles. Great way to just have fun and connect with people in friendly, competitive way. If you are looking for no frills, good drinks, nice pours, while out in Castro St, Molly MaGees is the place to check out. Parking: there's a lot on the backside of the restaurant, which you can enter the bar fromS

This is a decent spot. There weren't any lines but had a good amount of people and I wanted to check it out. There's a pool table and a small dance floor that gets pretty crowded. The DJ played pretty good music. They specialize in well drinks, beers on tap and shots, and we really never had to wait too long for a bartender to order something.

Quality, no-frills Irish pub in Mountain View. Come here if you're looking for good pours from an extensive list of beers and liquor. If you aren't expecting anything fancy in terms of ambiance, you'll have a great time pulling up a stool here.

2.5 stars: I dislike this dive bar for a number of reasons. The demographic is a bit older; it's not a trendy and hip spot for 20/30 somethings. It's very dark and hard to see anything inside. Their drink Irish collins tastes pretty bad. It has too much gin and it overpowers the whole drink. They don't play music which makes the environment feel awkward. There's two TVs on top of the bar but the volume isn't up high enough to hear what's on it. However, their raspberry kamikaze tastes pretty good and there's a pool table in the back which costs $1 per game. The bartender is very nice and friendly, but I don't think I'd be back.

I kept wanting to go here because I have heard it's fun and I finally went. I didn't realize how big it is inside. I like the ambiance and the bartenders were friendly. Definitely a fun place for a group of friends or girls night.

I stopped by Molly's last night for a drink before meeting up with friends at Opal. My first time coming here post-pandemic. And yes!! So happy I did. First, very nice bartenders! There were 3 younger women working at the bar, and they had THE cutest outfits on! I like seeing people dressed in style if I'm out on a Saturday night. Adds to the whole ambiance. And I must say-- best of all, my Cosmo was only $8!! And when I gave the bartender my cash, she was very appreciative of my tip. And my Cosmo came in a martini glass! The stemware is very important :) Plus, the security guy was nice and gave me a stamp since I arrived before 9 pm. He was also pretty cute! Anyway, next time I'm just going to stay at Molly MaGees for dancing. Opal was not fun next door. Fabulous Irish pub!!

Fun spot on football days. Unless the Niners are playing it's fairly quiet, no hooligans.

Molly Magee's is probably the only legit dive bar that I have seen in Downtown Mountain View or in the nearby area.

My friend and I decided to go there last night because the Mongolian barbecue was closed, and we were going to hit up a show at the Performing Arts Center. I'm glad we went because I got two Tapas and they were absolutely superb. I got the Potato Gratin and the Wild Mushroom Empanadas. A glass of red wine to top it off... And it was a delicious dinner. The wine wasn't so good, but the service was excellent and we ate outside because the inside was already full at 5:30. They have heaters and then it started sprinkling and we were concerned, but then they brought these huge umbrellas and put them over us and we were good. We may ahve cleared the entire jug together. While waiting for food, we enjoyed the complimentary bread with dip alongside some light traffic on the outdoor patio. The Ahi Tuna Tartar was our appeitizer, and it was delicious - gobbled in minutes! It was enjoyed with the chips and was quite light. The Paella Marinera came next, which featured a good amount of seafood. The seafood was all crisp but fell short in a few ways. For starters, the rice was mainly carried by seasoning, but the taste was lacking a body - stretched in sour, salty and sweet, but something was indeed missing. The shrimps were enjoyable, but the mollusks were grilled so much that the shell was easily cracked, and there were small pieces in the food. Overall, I would say this dish was the most underwhelming. While we enjoyed dinner on the street, there are options to dine in, too, where the noise would not be from light traffic but rather TVs and passive conversations, the kind one might expect from a bar. Paying the bill at the end took quite a long while, too, so budget accordingly!

First night was a Thursday. I ordered the fish and chips which were ok. Nothing spectacular. The scene was dead and there was maybe only 7-10 other people in the entire pub. Second night I came was on a Saturday. I only ordered drinks. There was a bigger crowd but barely, 15-20 people. Overall my opinion of this place is positive and yet I was disappointed that it wasn't better. It's in a great location. There's hotels and condominiums in the area all within walking distance. The atmosphere is great. The staff is awesome! It has so many positive aspects that should make it a regular hangout spot but for some reason it's failing. I'm giving it 5 stars because I feel it deserves better. People should give this place a shot. There is a dart board that is free to play which I think is awesome. A big patio area for large parties. The beer prices are very reasonable. Suggestion to the establishment: They have an AMI juke box, but on both nights the volume was turned down pretty low which kind of made me feel like I wasn't getting my money's worth. Turn it up!!! This place needs to figure out if it wants to be a restaurant that serves beer or be a bar that serves food. Personally I think it needs to realize that it needs to focus on being a bar. There's 15 other restaurants within walking distance from here and that food is 100 times better. This place should focus on getting the customers that leave those restaurants for after meal drinks.
