The WXYZ Bar is located inside the Aloft Cupertino Hotel. It's a hip, groovy little bar. The bar counter top has LED lights that are glowing and changing colors continuously. I ordered a dirty vodka martini - with Absolut vodka (they don't carry Tito's, Ketel One, or Grey Goose) and three olives. It was a reasonably good martini - although I like mine a bit colder. I guess I should specify that next time! There is also one pool table in the bar - which was in use by four guys, so I did not get a chance to play... Neat bar!

I love this bar! The swanky upscale/like decor, the premium drinks, happy hour and friendly staff. While staying at the Aloft hotel my co-workers and I ventured over for some appetizers and drinks. We shared the mac n cheese...decadently good! The meatballs, chicken quesadilla, hummus dip, and chicken wings. All of the appetizers were so full of flavor so surprisingly good for "bar food". They have a pool table if your feeling a little competitive with the company that you keep, as well as an outside seating area with heat lamps when needed on those cold nights.

Yelp said they closed at midnight on Sunday but the bartender said they always close at 10pm on Sundays. Anyways they were closed so I didn't get a drink. I just wanted to check the place out. Really cool spot. Seems like a cool hotel bar to chill at. I don't know how the drinks taste but at least the bartenders seemed friendly. One suggestion I would make is slightly dim the lights for ambiance. It's super bright even at 10pm. I guess it's good for business meetings but for pure bar atmosphere I think just dim it a little.

A cool and funky little bar in the aloft hotel. Great place to have large gatherings with a nice outdoor patio area. Skip the bar food.

Delicious food. Had the chicken panini (w/apple and brie) and red velvet cake. Nice ambiance. Great music. Service could improve.

ARE WE IN SILICON VALLEY? 4.5…read more One might never know this restaurant exists, tucked away near a Google business park just off Highway 101. You could stumble upon it through Yelp (as we did), discover it while staying at the adjacent Treehouse Hotel, or simply hear about it through word of mouth. The parking situation is an interesting one. After turning into the driveway from Mathilda Avenue, you have two options: turn right for valet parking or left into the Google parking lot. There are plenty of spaces available, though parking there is technically at your own risk. The restaurant told us they had not heard of anyone being ticketed or towed. We first dined here shortly after it opened in 2025 and were immediately impressed by the beautiful grounds. The hotel's eco-conscious gift shop, housed in a glass greenhouse and featuring a colorful vintage VW Bug, is a charming touch. The short walk to the restaurant feels especially relaxing on a warm, sunny day. This has become one of our favorite places to bring friends or host girls' lunches. With three distinct seating options: the dining room, bar, and patio, there's an atmosphere to suit just about any occasion, whether you're dining as a couple or gathering with a larger group. I would recommend visiting during lunch or dinner service and skipping the in-between hours. During that time, only the bar area is open and the menu is more limited. To fully experience what Valley Goat has to offer, lunch or dinner is the way to go. Despite the name, the only goat dish on the menu at the time of this review is the Goat Empanadas. My friend was initially hesitant to order them, but David, our wonderful server, and I encouraged her to give them a try. She was glad she did. There was no gamey flavor whatsoever; the meat tasted more like beef, and the accompanying sauce was excellent. Over several visits, we've enjoyed everything we've ordered and are delighted to have a restaurant of this caliber in our Bay Area backyard. Chef and co-owner Stephanie Izard, winner of Season 4 of Top Chef and an Iron Chef title, owns a total of nine restaurants, primarily in the Chicago area, along with locations in Los Angeles and one at Orlando International Airport. Since we enjoy traveling for great food, we'll definitely be adding some of her other restaurants to our list.

TL;DR Great food, really disappointing service…read more Valley Goat is a lovely spot in Sunnyvale, with food that beautifully marries what I love about Stephanie Izard's Chicago food (flavorful, interesting, bold but approachable), with the freshness of California's amazing farms and farmers. Maybe we had lunch on an off day, but my dish came out thirty minutes (not joking) before my guests dish. If I'm making a generous guess, the server maybe didn't have the kitchen fire all dishes at once and coursed my guest's dish for a "second course." But all this is avoidable, and made for a very long and uncomfortable meal. To top it off, we spent ten minutes trying to track down our server to get the bill because -- after a two hour lunch of only three small plates -- my guest was now late to her next appointment. I want to go back to give it another shot. But I am bummed: Girl and the Goat is one of my favorite restaurants and was looking forward to having a goat closer to home.

So of course after tasting some nice wine, I made my way over. After talking with the bartenders, I learned of the theme. I've never seen so many whiskeys in one place! Lots from Japan too! Had to try an Old Fashion. So, the bartender was making one for another customer. He added extra to the Shaker, and served me a sample from it to make sure I liked it. So nice! And, it was delicious. All the bartenders were very friendly & talkative. And, as it is in a hotel that caters to international travelers, there lots of customers from around the world. Our Go-To place for a late night meal…read more We got the Rabokgi, the Spicy Tofu Soup, the Boneless chicken, and the Egg Fried Rice. The portions are pretty big for each dish, so just a warning because we thought they'd be smaller and ordered way too much! The fried chicken was really crispy and delicious, we finished it so quickly. I'm not usually a big fan of fried rice but this was slightly sweet while still being mostly salty so it was great! Would definitely get it again. We were craving a bit of Tteokbokki but the serving was huge! Rabokgi is just ramen in the middle of the tteokbokki, and it was pretty tasty. It was just too much food for us. The spicy tofu soup was good, it hit the spot. We wish the waiters would've warned us of this, as there was so much food left over because everything was bigger than expected. The place's decorations are very cute. People have idol photo cards hung up which is funny and cute.
