Given that there is no directional signage posted that shows players how to get to the range, I drove up the hill yesterday instead of down looking everywhere for the range,. I finally asked a surly cart boy where it was and he responded with derision that "it was right down the hill." When I got there the ball machine was overly difficult to navigate so I drove back to the cart boy to request assistance. He made it clear that he was put out but drove down to the machine with me. Once he got it working it was out of balls! at only 1PM on a Sunday. I asked how that could be and why wasn't it being serviced? his response "Oh well..there are only two of us. You're happy to complain to the Head Pro. Which I did in the pro shop only to be told A) you dove right by the range coming into the course. So he was blaming me for not being able to find it. B) he also shrugged at the machine being empty..and like the cart boy said Oh Well." If any of these staff worked for a Corporate Service Industry Company they would be terminated on the spot for their behavior. I reminded the Head Pro that in fact golf course are in the Service Industry and he might want curb his attitude and that of his unprofessional and rude staff.

The ground actually tilts to adjust for your lie and the balls are automatically returned and teed up if necessary. You can rent the simulators for $50 an hour. Our group of 3 was able to play 4 holes in that time, we saw a group of two ahead of us play 7 holes. Granted, we aren't great golfers, but it would have been nice to play at least 9 holes. XGolf has 3 giant TVs so you can watch while you wait for your turn. They also serve beer and wine, but be warned, beers cost close to $7 a pop. There are only 4 simulators so book your time early. Cost and timeframes aside XGolf was an awesome time, friendly staff and everyone in the whole place was having a blast!

But I'm so glad that I finally wised up after broken bones from other sports, and failed home projects. I'm going to do this golf thing right and push to seek professional help. My instructor Dan was great, he really worked on finding a way to make my swing better rather then teaching me some new crazy swing. I was all worried that it was going to be too serious and awkward like when you get the stupid "class" before you sky dive or something. It wasn't it was great. I have a whole bunch of drills that I'm going to work on at the range now, rather just crushing em. Also this academy is worth going to, even once because of there ball fight radar tracking system. It helped me to work out what true yardage I'm hitting off my clubs. I'm for sure going to book the class where they go out with you to play the course at the International it looks incredible.

Unfortunately, the beverage cart service was terrible. When the drink cart finally reached our area, the attendant had already run out of beverages before getting to our group. She told us she was going to refill and come back, but she never returned for the rest of our round. As a result, I only had one beverage the entire day despite trying to get more multiple times. On a hot day, this isn't just an inconvenience--it's a health and safety issue. Better planning and more reliable beverage cart service are needed. I enjoy golfing, but this experience really took away from the day, and I'll think twice before coming back.
