I had a mammogram and was out and back in my car in 22 minutes. This is the most efficiently run medical facility I've ever been to.

Stood there and said "can't you hop on one leg over to the chair?" I am 76 and non-weight bearing. She would not move that chair for me to sit, argued with me. I had to get down off the table, back onto my knee scooter, back it up and turn around to position the chair so I could get to it and take off the boot. She only had to slide it two feet over for me and just. would. not. do. it. Second Xray in April was lost. My doctor never got the images or the report and could not locate it in the system. It's still not there seven days later. No one answers the phone. Both the main and the satellite site use (505) 983-9350 but it does not connect to anything. Tried for two days and on hold for 20 min. each time then disconnected. Never got anyone at the main location or at the satellite site. With the phone system completely down, images not being read or reported -- it seems this location is in the process of shutting down? I know staffing has been a critical issue for Santa Fe Imaging, perhaps the southside site won't continue to operate. Never did get any any one to answer, had no other line to call, and doctor never got any xray report from them. Doors are still open but there apparently is no staff to read and report images. Or the system has been down for seven days and isn't functioning. You will need to get your doctor to specify Xray Associates for any images needed.

The first appointment was a general, introductory conversation, no exam. The second was an exam including pap. I had not had one in years - and thankfully everything is good - but given I'm at the opposite / receiving end, I have no idea what she is doing. Within 30 minutes of leaving the exam I ruined a nice pair of pants. I was told later I had to ask for a pad. Is this a costly item? I called end of March to get a referral for an ENT. The white noise machine in the judicial court building created tinnitus during my "ordered to appear" service for the Meta case. No referral but I should go to urgent care or wait months. I asked to be put on a cancellation list. Not sure one exists ... never got a call. I went to urgent care and got a referral for an ENT. Asked numerous times for them to fax the referral to a St Christus ENT (the first being Dr. Brown who they seem to promote). Somehow even though I confirmed the fax number it never showed up. Eventually the urgent care said they handed me a printout and I should take it in myself. I mentioned this to Pino's office. They indicated it's not their fault. I love Santa Fe and worked 40 years so I could retire there. I bought a fixer upper and finished remodeling it myself last week. I left the next day and put it on the market. I have no health issues and take no meds; this tinnitus is the first one I've dealt with anything in retirement and given the intentionally dismal care and support of this practice and few physicians who take new patients, this isn't the place to retire. Since leaving I have established new insurance, scheduled a doc, and will be seen before anyone in Santa Fe cared enough to see me. No need to respond to this by anyone in the practice or in Santa Fe. The ridiculous comment about my attitude when I called and pushed option 1 EIGHT TIMES to cancel my upcoming appointment says everything I need to know about how you operate. I never received a call back from the office manager and won't read or follow up on anything you have to say at this point.

In my appointment they took the time to thoroughly address every health prophylactic treatment and recommended vaccination. They provided exceptional travel supply options such as first aid kits that include electrolyte salts to treat travelers diarrhea. Vaccination injections were painless & they helped plan them to prevent post vaccination sequelae. Before you leave they provide you with a large bound travel itinerary including consulate locations, all health related risks and how to prevent / treat them. It's awesome! Before I left for my trip I had symptoms that I worried might have been an infection at the vaccine site. Immediately went to urgent care & they said I was fine--large and temporarily swollen response which it turns our is completely normal for yellow fever vax, and meant I was now making antibodies to that virus. Before I could leave urgent care I had a call from Passport Health telling me the exact same thing. Awesome! On my trip about 10 days after getting over 30 mosquito bites in a malarial zone (and having forgotten to pack my anti malarial prophylaxis they prescribed & recommended) I began to have extremely high fever, chills & other sick symptoms consistent w malaria. Called them out of country before I returned from South America & Nanci was right there for me. She said NO don't take anti malarial meds just yet. She did some research right on the phone & told me I was in a dengue & possibly Chikunguya zone (no treatment avail for either) and that taking anti malarial meds if I didn't have it would make me much sicker & "muddy the waters of diagnosis". She said get to an ER that can test for malaria. She gave me her cell number (amazingly thoughtful) & began replying to my first message right away. Even through the night when I felt miserable tired & wanted to wait to the next morning to get tested--she said that's a bad idea and could get worse. Luckily, I had prepurchased travel insurance which included concierge service that found nearest hospital w all necessary tests (some of the nearby facilities didn't have them--big time saver). ER's are never fun but getting Malaria, Dengue & complete WBC panel back normal by early next morning let us know I probably had some kind of bad stomach bug and nothing worse. Nanci saved me from taking unnecessary meds--as a natural health devotee & natural medicine practitioner that means the world to me. Began to get better within another 24 hours & enjoyed the rest of my trip. On return home, I was astonished to receive a followup phone call from Nanci, wanting to make sure everything turned out well & see if I had any return questions or concerns. Professional, caring, organized, and with followup care that was included with my initial consultation price? I'm sold! Passport Health, I'll see you before we venture to SouthEast Asia next year. As long as I'm in NM, I plan for this to be my travel health clinic. Happy to pay out of pocket for such remarkable care. Thanks Nanci!

The doctor was Daniel Reed, DPM. The damage caused by his "advice" means I am now looking at surgery. Previous review: Went to them last year for a foot injury. They gave me some advice about what to do. I tried what they said and it only increased the pain. Then, while traveling through Tucson AZ, I visited another podiatrist. I had been unable to walk many days. The Tucson doctor saw what they were suggesting I put in my shoes and shook his head and threw the stuff right in the trash. What Rio Grande Foot and Ankle had given me had actually created more pain and injury to my foot. The Tucson doctor told me I had Morton's Neuroma. The Rio Grande doctor never suggested this issue or what I could do to solve the problem. I am going to need surgery and might not have needed surgery if I hadnt been given such bad advice here that caused more injury and pain. Awful, unprofessional and inexperienced.
