Customer service sucks! Was told by Johnathan he'd have my back as I am older and not real tech savvy. After everything was switched over, I text him some issues I needed help with. I needed to get a xfinity modem because my personal one stopped working. I talked with customer service through the app and we couldn't get my modem working. So they tell me no problem and that I can go to the store in person to pick up a new free one at no additional charge. I get to the store and the service I get is just how South Park portrays it, basically pay a monthly fee or kick rocks. So I leave and contact the online support again. This time they say they will just ship me one so I don't have to deal with the store. Now I am getting a modem shipped to my house and I have no additional fees like the store was demanding I pay. I had to go into the store today because I wasn't having a lot of luck on the customer service on the phone but when I got into the store they were so wonderful and helped me get everything that I needed so I could get my modem working again and everything up and running.. The manager Anthony and 2 of the other guys helped me and we're very kind because I didn't know what I was doing and I was so frustrated. I did have to call customer service overseas tonight but I was so lucky I got another nice person on the phone and she helped me to do it get it all set up at my house... This company is awful. Please advise. It's a trap. It is impossible to get good customer service. You have to go through a chat robot, which never actually solves anything. Then you get transferred to a "live agent" which often doesn't help. It is extremely difficult to get a technician appointment. My latest issue, which has driven me to leave this review and go to another company, is that the assistant is telling me to call their number. When I call it gets to a point where is says "please self assist using our Xfinity assistant". Literally a loop. Neither of which are helpful. Now I am going to drive in person to their store to try to get someone to cancel my service. Absolutely a nightmare company to deal with. Don't do it. I'm going to try Verizon next. While my actual internet service has been good since I've lived in the area, the customer service from Xfinity as a whole is abysmal. Representatives in online chat and over the phone are unhelpful and out of touch, meaning that you have to actually visit the store in person to get anything done - a pain in the butt to start with! I've learned that the only way to get anywhere near your old contract price is to go in store and see what they can pull up for you in the computer. So silly. The employees are nice enough, but clearly don't have any agency over decision making on anything about their customers and their conversations sound incredibly scripted. I went by the store in Fort Collins to get some help with tweaking data service and first day I went to store... last Thursday was told assistant could not help me since my phone was latest model the EDGE and xfinity did not have format to help me. Yesterday I went back with my new phone and got the dirty look and fella said you ought to go to Best Buy to set this up? Would cost me $99. I went to xfinity to change my xfinity password today, not knowing that you can make an appointment ahead of time. There is no signage inside or outside of the building notifying customers that they can make an appointment. I sat there for 30-45 minutes before I left. Xfinity (Now) Mobile. I called Xfinity about an internet issue, and tech support told me I could save on mobile, which is only $25 a month. I said ok. I thought I was signing up for Xfinity. Instead, it is a pre-paid service that doesn't allow you to upgrade to a better phone, and if you use more than 20GB of data, your speed, which they claim to be unlimited when you sign up slows down to 1.5. I wanted to cancel and tried to call maybe 2 hours after the initial sign-up. You get the runaround and can't talk to anyone, only chat,. On the first chat the rep said they canceled it, I looked at it the next day it was not. So I called back, and as soon as I said cancel, they told me that even though I hadn't activated the sim card, as I am still with Tmobile, I would lose my phone number. I contacted them about 5 times, and they say I have to call in, but it takes me back to the same queue. They will disconnect as they tell you to call back. AVOID THIS SERVICE! Horrible customer service I quess I will have to activate the card but there is no contract so I will go back to T-Mobil ASAP read more

Wow. Where to begin. I despise this company. From start to finish this process has been a nightmare. I had to break my previous apt lease due to my mom's declining mental and physical health. This necessitated that I begin caregiving for her full-time. This change required we both move into a new residence. My elderly mom required that we have cable TV. I continued to pay for my previous (xfinity internet) service until my landlord could renovate and find a new tenant. Finally, 5 months later that happened. Several phone calls with xfinity, then forms for us both to complete and email back, and then we were told everything had been switched- we had separate accounts- and all was good to go. The next bill came, and she called to tell me that my residential service had been added to her account. More phone conversations leading nowhere until we were finally told we had to visit the local xfinity location to handle in person. We did. The young man at the desk informed us- with great frustration- that the only way to straighten the accounts out required my current account being shut down and then reopened so that he could assign me another account number. He apologized more than once. Suspecting that could potentially extend my contractual obligation by 5 months I asked him if that would be the case. He assured me that NO IT WOULD NOT. I didn't choose to close my account and reopen another. That was how they "fixed" our billing problem. Now today I call to speak with a customer service rep and learn that it ABSOLUTELY DID extend my contractual obligation to xfinity by 5 months. The customer service supervisor was absolutely no help. Both representatives spoke with canned responses and reminded me-more than twice- of the current package I was enjoying! We will be canceling this service as soon as possible. (FIVE MONTHS FROM NOW!!!) Xfinity/Comcast is one of the worst companies ever. The corporate customer service reps you speak with on the phone and/or on-line don't communicate with the local reps physically working inside their retail establishments. I am thrilled that this industry is dying. Cable TV is a dinosaur. Try any other company before signing up with xfinity. O and their internet connectivity is slow, expensive and sketchy at best. It has been over three weeks since then and I still have not received the money back that was STOLEN from me. Was on the phone with customer service for over three hours, being transferred around to different departments that had nothing to do with my issue. I asked to speak with a supervisor multiple times during multiple different calls and I still have not been able to speak to one after a week of trying. I'm a longtime customer & needed a new Iphone. Only 4 appointments were available on-line IN THE NEXT YEAR - and those two were 2 weeks out! So I went to the store where I'm told it'll be a 45-60min wait. 75min later I get help. The phone I want wasn't in stock & was ordered - but today (3 days later) it still hasn't even been shipped despite my having been told I'd have it yesterday. On top of that, according to Apple, I was given incorrect instructions on transferring data to the new phone. They should spend more on competent (vs friendly) customer service and glitzy storefronts. (BTW, their line crew also broke my sprinkler system and didn't think to tell me. Absolutely WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! We spent 30min trying to change our address in the system and redo the contract because it's the ONLY internet where we are moving. I specifically told Jim AND HE COULD SEE MY PREVIOUS ACCOUNT that I had the equipment from the Previous account. He CANCELLED THE PREVIOUS, well I was told he did. Get home try to hook it up, nothing moves to the 4 other coax jacks in the house nothing. Call Comcast and wait for 47 min until someone answers, spent 35 min before he found out Jim didn't add the box to the account, spent another 25 for him to remotely add it. Got it working for 30sec then it shuts off, go to call them back and now It's past 9pm everything is closed. Go in today to talk to Nick and he was the rudest individual I have ever met, never apologized that it was done incorrectly told me it was my fault for not telling him I rented the equipment, his exact words were "most people know if your renting or buying". I absolutely did!!! I will take this new modem home and hook it up to find another provider, DO NOT USE XFINITY!!! One thing I really hate about Xfinity is that you have to talk to an agent.  An agent stands between you and a price list of services for your area or anything you wanta do like add or change services, you gotta talk to their agent.  That way they can blow as much smoke as possible to sell you what you dont need or want like their streaming service that cant compete with a Roku or even to replace a remote, you gota talk to their call center agent who will inevitably screw things up with some service change attempt.  It's all unfortunate because they do have some of the best service at the best prices the field can offer, it's just that they wreck it all with a crappy front end. read more

We have some issues with service and if one goes to the store for in person assistance we are told it will be at least an hour wait, so an appointment is required. However, it is impossible to make an appointment without actually driving to the store, which for us is about 20 miles away. It is also impossible to find the real, local phone number of the closest store and calling any of their many 800 numbers only reaches automated, mindless recordings. Finally found an (800) number online and was send back to the main menu because there are no agents on duty to take my call. I was charged a prorated fee of $65+ for 5 days of use when canceling Xfinity services. From this experience and other stories I've heard, Xfinity is greedy. Well, you know, it's Comcast/Xfinity so don't set your expectations too high. We needed to return a rented modem/router and were told that we couldn't return it in our town so had to drive to Fort Collins to drop it off. When we entered, the 2 people working there were busy with customers and never even acknowledged our existence. We sat down and waited a while. Still no acknowledgement from the staff. Other people came in and stood around at the front counter looking confused just like we did when we entered. After a bit of milling around, they sat down as well. Eventually (probably at least 30 minutes after arriving) one of the employees acknowledged us and told us they would assist us shortly. Really wasn't made to feel welcome or like a valuable customer of over 15+ years. All it would have taken was an employee to make eye contact and to acknowledge that they saw us and would be happy to assist us as soon as they were finished with the customer they were currently assisting! Seems like some customer service training for employees would be helpful! read more
