It didn't help at all. It just says call failed. Sometimes I can get on a call for a few minutes but it cuts out until it finally fails. Wally wouldn't help me since I am authorized user on the plan under my nickname and not the name on my license. Then he said he can do nothing to help me. He called over a friend and they talked about it for awhile and then he started asking me "what's even wrong with the phone? Why are you here?" There is a large selection of ISPs available, but most of them are suspect in my mind. XMission is the only one with a total usage cap. However, even as a heavy user I've not hit it. By having the cap, it's easier to handle people who abuse the bandwidth setting up spam servers or torrent servers. They are also the only one meeting state of the art security standards like SOC2. Back to Utopia. It just works. I have 250Mbs up and down. That allows me to do full backups of my home to the Cloud. I could never do that with the pitiful upload speed the competition has. Plus it's far cheaper.

This wasn't just her sewer main but also their client's! So apparently their practices are most likely shady and against code. (Classic lazy Utahn business tactics.) My mom had to go stay in a hotel which she couldn't work in due to needing her Internet at home to work. She lost days of work, sleep and had the stress of her house being covered in sewage! I spoke with a woman that quite frankly sounded annoyed to be on the phone. She said that they couldn't dig until the city issued a permit and that it would take no longer than a week. Understandable, right? Several weeks pass and I've heard absolutely nothing (sensing a pattern here?), so I decide to call again and again I find myself talking to a woman that sounds annoyed that I'm asking for an update. I'm once again told this will be done in 7-10 days. It is now November 21st and I haven't heard so much as a peep from this company. Not a single status update, no apologies for delays, nothing. As much as I wanted to support local business, going 6 months without a single update is unacceptable. Save yourself some frustration and keep Xfinity.

He gave great advice regarding modems and routers and how to get started. I rented eero devices from UBB for a couple months, then bought my own when there was a good sale. It was no trouble at all to return their equipment - they came and picked it up. The service has been really fantastic. The speeds are more than we need, and I have a few dozen devices between our phones, tablets, laptops, a home computer, and a collection of smart home devices and cameras. I work from home about 80% of the time and I have no complaints!
