Avoid this location at all costs! You will get scammed. I parked in the lot adjacent to the building with a HUGE Xfinity sign BUT got a boot put on my car. The parking lot with the HUGE xfinity sign actually belongs to a bank- which was closed at the time BUT had a truck secretly waiting to boot customers cars. I received a boot on my car for being illegally parked. I had to Pay $170 to release my car. There are smaller signs warning you not to park there, but VERY very easy to miss; and the wording is extremely misleading. Also the xfinity tech I talked to before coming there STRONGLY URGED me to come to this particular location, AND not to a location closer to my home. After I paid the boot I went to discuss this with the xfinity employee inside the office and he was rude and basically shrugged it off! I was saying customers should be warned not to park in the lot! He looked at me like i was nuts. I think it's a scam! Xfinity is exploiting its customers and corporate condones this. This is FRAUD!

Unfortunately by the time you see this review, you'll most likely already have gotten yourself a nice little $170 ticket from the guy who booted your car while you were inside of Xfinity for 2 minutes. Welcome to the club. I quickly parked next to the Xfinity building wall because I needed to drop off my wifi box. I immediately noticed the rundown suv I parked next to had a man inside looking over at me, but with windows dark enough that I couldn't make out a face, just movement. I was weirded out but didn't think much of it and that I would be in and out so fast. Walking out of Xfinity after no more and no less than 2 minutes, I got a terrible feeling when started to approach my car (which was behind the beaten up suv). I could see this guy starting at my through his window at this point. Feeling uneasy but not knowing what to do so I kept walking. As I got closer to the back end of his vehicle he threw his door open so fast and started walking towards me - almost as if he was trying to kidnap me. I truly have never been so scared in my entire life. What a horrible human to do that to a small girl in the middle of Chicago, and who is completely by herself. Even if this is your job, you do not handle a situation like that. It was almost as if he enjoyed seeing the terror in my eyes. Shame on this bank and all the people who work there. Shame on Xfinity for not putting up any sort of warnings or signs that say "Do not park here if you are an xfinity customer" because I can guarantee you every person this has happened to is one of their customers. The man who booted my car was unbelievably rude and condescending. I could barely understand him as he mumbled and smelled like marijuana. Oh and not to mention the bank was closed for the evening, and even if they were open there were probably about 100 spots open in case anyone was actually attempting to go into their rundown, crooked establishment. I hope this business fails.

I came there just to drop the equipment (Flex) and sent the request online to disable the service next day. However, I had to spend about 15 minutes, as my internet was disconnected immediately and I had to request prolong it for 1 day. After that I didn't get an internet back, but got a bill for 102 dollars :)

It is now slower than it ever has been, freezes up all the time. Can't even sit through a 22 minute TV show without lagging or stopping. This is pathetic and unacceptable in the year 2026. If you can, look elsewhere and use anyone else but Astound! We sent them another email and phone call to get ahold of someone to come back to our house to fix yet another problem they made happen. So far, no such luck. They're value is nothing and they are most incompetent. So again they may seem good, but they're awful. They don't have any places located near us and have to come from far away, so I imagine their tech guys are very limited to when they can come. Another example of why big companies shouldn't be able to buy up the little ones like WOW, which was actually a good cable company that we had no problems at all with. Like every other company, there customer service seems to be a thing of the past. We will be switching to a different company as soon as possible and never looking back. Fuck Astound.

When I got back on Sunday, my internet was still down. Alex came over Sunday night after carving pumpkins with his kids. He diagnosed that there must have been a power surge that took 6 or 7 units offline on Friday. In the process, my router got toasted. I live in an old building and I'm embarrased to admit I didn't have a surge protector on it. He not only diagnosed my dead router, he gave me a new one I could have until I got another one. Over the past two months, his conduct has caused me significant stress, wasted time, and financial confusion. Despite repeated calls and visits, this issue is still unresolved and I am still dealing with Verizon today. 1) Misrepresentation at the point of sale * What I was promised: David told me that, as a new customer, I would receive one iPhone 16 Pro at a discount plus a second iPhone 16 Pro (to be used with a trade-in option), and that I would pay for only one line but receive two phones. * What actually happened: After I signed the paperwork, David produced only one phone and a hotspot and then claimed the promotion doesn't work the way he had described. * Why this is unacceptable: This is deceptive sales behavior--a clear case of misinformation that induced me to sign an agreement under false assumptions. 2) Obstruction and avoidance of cancellation * When I immediately asked to cancel, David insisted it could be done only after 24 hours. * For the entire following week, David was "not available." I visited the store daily, but other employees refused to help, saying only David could access my account. * I finally found him a week later; he canceled the plan and provided a receipt. * Impact: Needless and avoidable delay, lost time, and escalating anxiety--already a week of headaches caused solely by his handling. 3) Improper charges and ongoing billing harassment * I paid $170 at activation. After cancellation, I received only $70 back; $100 was kept as a cancellation fee. * Despite the cancellation, I later received a bill for $189.35. * Multiple Verizon agents (including Financial Support) told me I owe nothing given the cancellation and the prior $100 payment. One agent said he'd call the next day to confirm full resolution--no one called back. * I continue to receive emails and phone calls demanding payment. This is unacceptable and erodes trust. * Most importantly, this matter is still not resolved today -- I am still being contacted by Verizon as if I owe money, even after being assured multiple times that I do not. 4) Two months of headaches and nerves Because of David's dishonesty, negligence, and avoidance, I have endured two months of stress, unnecessary store visits, and hours on the phone--2-4 hours in one session alone--trying to fix an issue Verizon created. And to this day, I am still forced to deal with this unresolved problem.

On top of this, they charged $118 and a monthly $60 charge for some kind of insurance protection. We did not authorize these transactions. Also, they are charging me the watch monthly when they said it was free. So basically, our bill went up from $160 to $260 monthly because of these charges that we were not aware of upfront. They have been pushing my mother and me around and refusing to help us with this problem. I should say they are giving us a really bad attitude with us and giving us the run around. My mother is in her 70's and they're hoping that her old age she will back down and forget it. Wrong! We've taken our complaint to the BBB and corporate. At least Verizon Cares is trying to help us and understands our frustrations. These people don't care about you and just want your money and just trying to sell you unnecessary transactions to make themselves look good. They are just stealing your money. The bottom line is, if they are taking more than an hour to get your bill ready, be weary that they are adding more charges to your bill.

So he says it's $85 a month unless I bundle services, then it's $50 for both which seemed great but a little bazaar to me. I was planning to go from there to Verizon because my phone was on the fritz and I needed a new one right away. I'd been with Verizon for more than 30 years and was just planning to stay with them for the phone, but I couldn't pass up a deal like that, I'd be saving $60 a month! However, unlike other phone service providers you can't get a new phone the same day! It takes up to 48 hours to get approval!. In my case, I had forgotten that I had a freeze on my credit due to prior identity theft, so 2 days later, with great difficulty, due to no phone service, I was able to lift the freeze on all three reporting agencies. But they can't check your credit on the spot. You get a response within 48 hours from the time the freeze was lifted! Imagine working from home with 2 days of spotty service and 2 additional days of no service!... and no explanation for why! My credit score hovers around 800! And sorry if Noble Square is any better, but when I called Xfinity's customer service line to see if there was anything they could do to help, she said she could help me with that but starting quoting me different, much higher prices! And all I wanted was for her to call the store and tell them I was approved. I thought surely if I just went to a different store there might be someone who had more knowledge of the system then either the previous store or the customer service person on the phone. So I went to the store in Evanston hoping to speak to a manger, but it was the same thing. Snotty kids that are eager to make a sale, but have no idea how to work with customers. This process started on Monday. It's Friday and I still don't have a phone! After interactions with three different representatives of this company I can only conclude that their employees who have difficulty communicating how their plans work and are untrained in the art of customer service therefore the entire company sucks! When I told them that if I walked into Verizon or T-Mobile I would walk out of the store with a phone in my hand the same day. Get this! Their answer was "We're not T-Mobile or Verizon"!!!... In a snotty tone of course. I left in tears! Based on the low ratings I'm seeing on this site, maybe they could learn a lesson from both of those companies about superior customer service.
