Can Xfinity be any worse? I can't have a good signal no matter where I am with this modem and router. Xfinity is not a well built company, you would have to pay more money to get a decent modem when there are plenty good one's somewhere else. Looking for internet access on Xfinity won't be your cup of tea. Please I don't reccommend Xfinity, unless you want to have bad internet I'd rather live off my mommys hotspot. read more

The guys here told me I was not eligible for xfinity mobile. No deposit or buy the phones out right suggestions just no you can't have it. I called customer service and was told you can have 2 lines no credit check but since the store declined you there is a 61 day wait??? I feel like the store should have just told this to begin with. Also while on hold with customer service at 10:15 am for 38 minutes I asked for a call back and was informed " we can't make outgoing calls in till 1 pm" wtf I guess its a good thing I was denied. read more

Concast is quite possibly the worst company on the face of the earth for customer service. Comcast cheats its customers out of access to the Internet by turning off the Internet on a daily basis for 6 to 7 hours. This means that they charge their customers for one month of service without providing full service and full access to the Internet 24 I day, seven days a week. 164 hours a month I'm not served with Internet access, yet they expect their payment in full for all of those hours plus the additional hours in a 24 hour. Comcast can go screw themselves for such shoddy service and by cheating and ripping off their customers. I have spent probably the same amount of time on the phone getting them to admit that they are stealing money from their customers. Why isn't there an alternative to Comcast? read more

Comcast must rely on their monopoly as a substitute for providing anything resembling customer service for the services they market. Because I am 30+ days into trying to get a significant problem fixed. I pay for a bundle - tv and Internet. But for a couple of years now all I get is internet. I've been laid back about it and using a Roku, but in January I decided to get Comcast to resolve my tv issue. They sent a tech out, who replaced my cable box and wire from the box to the outside. He then told me he had tested the line and it was old and will not carry the frequency they send the tv signal through so he would send a bucket truck out to replace the wire from the pole to the house. Fine. After 2 weeks and nothing, I called tech support. The rep struggled to understand what I thought was a simple thing. She said she would get back to me. A week later I called again, it sounded like I reached the same person so I asked to speak with someone else. They scheduled an appointment for me so it seemed like it would be resolved. Later that day a rep called saying she was confirming the appointment for an underground cable. ??? No, the pole is across the road it must be overhead. She said to call tech support back. I did, and the guy seemed to not know what a telephone pole was. I asked where I was calling...Philippines. I asked to speak to someone in the US. I was put on hold and then that same young woman came on. Forget it. The other day I called and instead of tech support I selected "Retention" and reached someone who seemed to know what they were saying. He set up an appointment for today. Then, this morning I received a call from a Comcast tech. He asked me what was the problem I am having. This is surreal. Comcast is officially the worst company on the planet, who obviously prioritize getting your payments over actually providing a reasonable product or a resemblance of customer service. I came in to switch out my DVR, and I was in & out in 15 minutes. There were 3 customers ahead of us, but we were signed in right away. As soon as we were called, the gentleman pulled up our account, gave us the upgraded box and we were finished. read more

BUYER BEWARE! If you are transferring your phone number from one provider over to Xfinity mobile? BUYER BEWARE! If you own an iPhone 8 Plus-- IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE! Started this journey this past Saturday morning, many hours later, many trips to Xfinity location, many hours on the phone with Xfinity mobile customer service! Long story... Short version...Even though Xfinity states an iPhone 8 Plus can be transferred to their plan & using their SIM card. They essentially ported my phone number over & would not release it back to my prior provider. ( I am so over it at this time!) Xfinity rendered my phone useless for going on 3 plus days now. Just now after visiting the Xfinity location one more time, I was able to get my pin number. Now I have to go back and spend more time on the phone getting it put it back to my previous provider. UPDATE: As of 10:15 am on Tuesday & getting my number ported back to my previous provider, I am still unable to text or make or receive incoming calls! UPDATE: As of 11:55 am on Tuesday ---- My phone is up and operational completely! read more

My experience has been great speaking with the Store Manager at the Frederick, MD location. She assisted me finding out if there was any cable/internet service and my sister set up the installation date/time and bundles. My terrible...terrible service was with Xfinity Customer Service on the phone as well as on Facebook Direct Corporate. I spoke with 1 Cust Service rep, transferred me to 1 Technician, then I was on hold waiting for a Manager (total time of transaction 38+ minutes). I hung up and contacted Xfinity Customer Service 2nd time, I was speaking with the Representative back/forth for 20 minutes, and then the phone call dropped. I contacted Xfinity Customer Service a 3rd time, and the representative mentioned the disconnection department is open 8 am and closed 7 pm. No rep was available to contact me back b/c they were not open. I contacted Xfinity Direct Corporate and texted them the situation on Facebook. I was on hold 38+ minutes for a manager that never picked up. I was on hold 20+ minutes a second time and the call dropped. I told them who the account holder was name, they wanted my name and I keep stating I wanted to cancel this service multiple... multiple times. Then I stated this is the worst customer service I have experience and if this is your Corporate Policy then you will have more clients cancelling. I stated to Corporate I will write an honest and terrible review on yelp.com on the customer service I experienced 1+ hours. Just because they moved doesn't mean they are a different business! My old review should still be listed here, but since it isn't, I will repost it: It would take too long and be too stressful to recount even half of what Comcast has put my mother and I through lately. I'll just pick a few highlights--or rather lowlights--to illustrate how rapacious the company is and how incompetent the staffers are. My mother has not had internet access to her computer for weeks. She had called multiple times to try to get it resolved. I had been there for one of the calls previously, and was underwhelmed with the technician's knowledge and ability to reason. My mother said she has, independent of that, spent a total of at least 5 hours on the phone to Comcast tech support with no resolution. Today I once again listened in on a call, and stayed in the downstairs study where my father's old computer is and where the modem and router are set up, so I could adjust settings as necessary. In this particular call, we were shunted back and forth between multiple reps, as is common. Each and every time we had to once again recite the full history of the issues and tell them the account number, last 4 of social etc etc etc. Why is it that these reps don't hand off basic information when transferring a call? Do they not have some sort of computer record of calls, and should the next rep not be able to simply consult this record?? Once again, I was unimpressed with the wireless technician's knowledge and ability to reason. He gave me the incorrect IP address-twice-of the router, before finally getting it on the third try. He demanded that we use Internet Explorer to do certain things, apparently because he simply doesn't know any other browsers well enough to tell us what to do. The downstairs computer does not even have IE on it, but does have Chrome and Firefox. After having us fiddle with various things, the technician said that the router needed to be replaced. I'm not convinced. My mother is, for example, receiving emails now, but still cannot access the internet. How could she even get her email if her computer wasn't able to communicate with the modem? Various reps have had her change soooo many settings in various places on her computer, that I wonder whether part of the problem now isn't some setting that needs to be changed back. He told us that the new modem/router combo would be free. But the next rep he shunted us to wanted my mom to pay $10 for shipping and handling, because the office is "only 4 miles away" and she thought I should go pick the new modem/router up. Uh, no thanks, not when I've read these reviews about how long the wait times are and how there are no customer bathrooms. She also had a barely-understandable Indian accent. In the course of this call, we found out that my mother has been paying $8 per month for FIVE YEARS to rent equipment that one rep said would cost "$40-$60" new. that means Comcast has siphoned $500 dollars (and counting) from an elderly woman to rent what she now could have bought 10 times over. To boot, they do not send itemized bills, so this charge is hidden. There are few alternatives to Comcast in the area where my mom lives. Xecunet used to be an option, but now only provides business service. There are some satellite companies, but she says that one of them came out to the house years ago and said my parents would have to cut down two trees in order to have satellite access. I believe Comcast provides such awful service in large part because they have a captive audience. I don't understand why we don't have more options, in a relatively affluent and dense area. read more

This review is not for the Xfinity store it's self but for the company.I purchased my home and I signed up for Xfinity security home services in the TV services back in June 2019. First of all the services suck hardly work I was constantly on the phone axing them to fix the services or outages in all that crap. Anybody who's ever had Xfinity for TV or any type of service whatsoever knows they suck and they're constantly having outages. First of all they were charging me almost $500 every month axing me to pay for a month ahead which I refuse to do now we forgot to the services and March I went ahead and I canceled everything except for the Internet service I return all equipment including all security equipment because he told me I had to return everything. Fast forward to this month during the coronavirus I received the bill for $460 and as for the security equipment they have with them they charging me for telling me I was not supposed to return that but only the tablet and that we Garlist if I still return it and they have it I will still be paying for it. What kind of shit is this. I spoke to some woman by the phone her name is not Jeanita and she basically went on and on trying to tell me that I need to pay that bill because they not gonna erase it. I refuse to pay that I don't owned the equipment I was never told that even if I cancel the service and return all the equipment that I will still be paying for it. Who in the educated mind would do that shit. That she can stay in my credit report forever because I refuse to pay for something I don't on I was never told that if I can't so I will still be paying for it. read more

Beware of the specials that are offered. I signed up for the $99 Internet and basic TV special, my first bill what is $175. After trying for a long time to speak to an actual person, I was told that this was after fees and taxes. So just be warned, fees and taxes almost double your bill. When I call to ask about this the customer service agent reads the predetermined response from their computer screen telling me that they are sorry I "feel this way" (not I'm sorry that your bill is 3x what it was faithful customer who pays every month) and that there just simply isn't anything they can do. But wait ! Then they offer a whopping $10 off my bill. Comcast - go suck an egg. You brag and boast about your customer service, yet you drag people in with great prices with the evil plan of tripling the bill the second your little offer time has expired. I visited Xfinity Comcast to resolve some billing issues and had the pleasure of meeting Angelo Vergura. He helped me to resolve the situation I had with my bill and did it in a timely manner. He's very knowledgeable about his job and took the time to explain my bill. I went in thinking that I was going to get the run-around but instead, I came out a happy and satisfied customer. 1 star for location (I love that it's near Panera Bread), and 3 stars for the outstanding customer service I received. read more

I don't even know where to start - the only reason I have the service (actually correction, despite having spent $150 and hours on the phone I don't actually HAVE service yet... oh but I've been assured a magician is going to show up tomorrow on-time and wow me). Came in to return a modem. The front desk greeter took the modem and then told me to sign in to speak with a service agent. After they scanned and took the modem. Been waiting 26 minutes of a 30 min wait, the line is moving very slow, and there are empty desks everywhere. Clearly they do not have enough staff, nor an effective way to manage volume. read more

If I call, they offer me some sort of discount and then it climbs right back up. THe internet service sucks and I have my email with them and am changing that. If there was a negative star, I would be hitting it. This location is extremely rude and unprofessional. You walk in and I didn't know you have to have a sign in. The front desk clerk who handles that didn't even acknowledge me so I thought to go to the people behind the desk that says Customer Service. Then the woman at that desk gave me a rude look and said, "you have to go to the front to sign in"...extremely rude. So I go back to the front to get signed in. So that very woman , goes behind closed doors. I then noticed there was a waiting list on one of their screens....there were 6 people waiting....yet that woman doesn't attend to any? Customer truly sucks here. It's almost better calling their technical support and having someone come to your house to fix the issue. i have never had cable tv, used dish for 11 years, was looking to save money and they were offering 300.00 gift card to change. the gift card wasn't honored because i used comcast internet and there for was not new to cable tv, and i have never had cable tv, only internet. my installation was threw the roof, and i am paying dish for leaving the contract, they have extorted over 1000 in one month disconnecting me twice, due to install fees and outrageous bill's. the savings was a joke, i am susposed to have internet and cable tv for 200 a month, but after all the fees and extras, its more like 500 a month, after 6 months i'm told my bill will go to 222. 00 after one more outrageous month of install fees mixed with cable and internet fees, and i just pay, other wise i am out of internet and cable, they have me over a burrell and lied to get me there. don't be fooled, stay with dish. you will regret it and the prices are not told honestly, and they will tell you anything to get you to switch, then your bill is unaffordable. read more
