I live at Creekside Sr Apts at 100 Burgess Hill Way in Frederick, Md. Our door call service has been broken for almost 2 weeks. Guests cannot call up to residents to be buzzed in. As a result, we have to come down and let visitors in, EVERY TIME. A lot of us are not mobile so this is a hardship on us. I work for Verizon Telcom Maryland for 17 years as a technician. I sustained 2 spinal injuries while working which damaged my sacrum and Lumbar discs L2 through S1. Which makes it impossible for me to sit, stand, Bend and lift. Verizon Telecom workers comp refuse to pay for my surgery. Leaving me disabled from working and unable to earn a living. Over the years, I didn't feel like they cared properly for their customers and saw that also extends to the employees . I sustained a lot of abuse and saw a lot of abuse occuring. My manager, James Warren , knew I had a spinal injury and did everything he could to make the job difficult for me . Deliberately taking my organized vehicle and substituting it for a vehicle that was in the worst of conditions. Human resources​​ told me he could fire me if I refuse to get in the truck and work. Supervisor pulled up chair from underneath a pregnant technician, in an attempt to make her fall on the floor. Technicians will constantly targeted by management ​for not making, I and other technicians were moved far to garages farthest from our home , in an effort to make us have to drive further and get up earlier in the morning . Management joked and called it Alcatraz. It was made clear that it was punitive. So just know that Verizon is also one of those companies that abuses its employees. read more

Businesses I've ran I'd never do this. My husband coaches and teaches and all the horrible things he has to deal with he'd never handle them so dismissively. Why is it so easy to pass things on? When does the one person stand up and say I got it - I'll be your champion. Because I do that daily for my family. I fight their battles against drs: insurance every day. This last visit was a phone call about a phone I bought in FL from an upgrade - a phone I bought at the MD store (1 of so many). I wish this company would just go bankrupt! Everything is a fn policy to them with no wiggle room just scrips and a bottom line to make quotas and goals. F the customers and their problems. No matter our history, my extended family's history or how many accounts we've had and currently have and the only issue I have ever had with an iPhone in 25+ years (THIS ONE time) -- the bottom line is -- I'm getting sorry but your screwed thanks for playing. The owners, and all those above the lower staff peons get everything they need because they control the cogs but I'm stuck with a pos. So now my search begins (after me, my husband and the rest of our household which has 6 phones & 1 bus total and has had accounts since the inception of Verizon) for a new company who wants our business at least it seems for a brief moment and won't say FU when I finally after all these years need to ask for help with a phone they knew had a problem and shouldn't have given to me. It wasn't the 15 internally that was the issue. I found out they gave me a refurbished phone that was returned but charged me for a brand new one and said it had no issues. I paid full price not a refurbished price. Why is that ok for a no matter where it is to do that. So I called the store I thought I knew to trust. Clearly I was mistaken. The only reason traded it in in FL was I was stuck in FL for family reasons for 12 months and my 12 pro plus was dying and I was having serious issues. The other store while I was visiting FL was my only option at the time. I've been going to the Patrick st Frederick store for as long as it's been there and before it was relocated. I was told I'd have to go back to FL. I tried calling FL, 800 CS and going to apple and going to Dumber Squad at Best Buy who was where I was sent because idk. They do happily damaged my phone more... glad I took a picture of it before I gave it to them. To all those others reading if you get this far- If you are getting ready to upgrade or thinking of buying a phone.. go to sprint, hell I'm thinking of going to cricket. There are so many services now ... Verizon isn't the gem anymore. Clearly they don't care about being as loyal as their customers are to them. Horrible, horrible management. Everyone in the store was in a hurry to leave or chat with coworkers. The guy helping my son and I had snot running from his nose the whole time. He never sanitized his hands while handling my phone. I was never explained my plan changes when I added a new line for our son. I was never given a breakdown of pricing. No one knows what the hell they're talking about. I was told to keep my old phone and told I needed to trade my old phone by several people. I visited this store today and was helped by James. I needed to switch my cell phone service from Visible, terrible service, back to Verizon which I had had for many trouble free years. James made all the changes' updated my iPhone SE and answered all my questions. James is knowledgeable, respectful of the veteran status and got me signed up for a veterans discount. The manager or at least he claims to be the manager at this location is extremely rude. I had an appt scheduled and he continued to keep me outside waiting while asking me a bunch of questions. He was rude the entire time I was there. I even asked to speak to another manager or someone above him and he said he was the only one. The only thing keeping me from giving this a 1 star was because of the guy that he passed me and my mom on to. I will be going to corporate about him, so no worries on that part. My mom and I got new phones. They were not supposed to be activated right away since we had a few stops to make before heading home but somehow they both got activated. I had to go back to the Verizon store and have them activate my old phone so I could make it through my errands and then get home. The manager opened the door, did not say a single word to me. I went to the guy that helped me before. As I was leaving I told the manager I hopes he has a better night. He looks like he lives a miserable life. He was certainly a miserable person to deal with. AWFUL. AWFUL, Customer service. Manager name: ROBERT. Time at store: Sunday 1/5 4pm. Price advertised on verizon website was listed as $150 off of a $200 fitbit versa 2. We bought one at the Winchester store for $50 but they only had 1 in stock so we came here to the frederick location on buy another one. The manager at this location claimed that their online and store location prices were different (they aren't, we verified) and REFUSED to sell us the Fitbit at the advertised price. WE DROVE OVER AN HOUR after calling to verify that they had the Fitbit in stock. I AM SO ANGRY I CAN'T EVEN RIGHT NOW. Would give NEGATIVE stars if possible. RIDICULOUS. Edited: we won. Bought at different location. Edited 2nd time: is refusing to hand us the device even though we have paid for it at a different location. Is claiming he HAS to ship it even though he has it at his store RIGHT NOW. Visited the store as it is a true Verizon store and have had great success in the past. Need upgrade of one phone and of course needed to update our plan to accommodate another 5G line. No problem I said due to minimal additional monthly expense and some additional services provided for the money. Problem began once new plan was pushed, it would not accept one of the current phones on the plan. Not an old phone, just for some reason would not allow the upgrade to fully complete to the new phone. This blocked the purchase of the new upgraded phone and held them and us in our tracks. Were being told by all levels of their support from 1 - "Urgent Care" that we'd have to wait 24 hours. Hmm one phone dead and another in limbo because of a backend system failure to operate. Onsite Verizon staff (TJ, Charlotte and the others) were fantastic, took almost 4 hours for them to finally say they had done all they could. Very acceptable to me with the amount of time they tried to help and their level of frustration as well. Came back next morning met with Charlotte, she produced new SIMM card for failed phone with same number (Boom Fixed); had new phone all configured and ready to go (Boom Fixed). Knocked it out of the park!!! I will go back again, maybe even to drop by pizza at lunch for them. People be patient with these people, they deal with all kinds of lacking back end support from Verizon corporate. You want to slam Verizon, look to their leadership and ask why they are not providing their public facing staff better tools and support. Go here if you want the staff to talk down to you and have the manager tell you it's their job to do that. They confuse asking questions with judging your choices. If you show them an email with an offer they aren't familiar with - they will assure you it's too good to be true and tell you the email is spam. They will be wrong, but they won't know this because they won't bother to open your account to see what offers are there for YOUR NUMBER. Big shout out to Marvin for being the absolute MVP and really helping me with everything and not trying to upsell or anything, all while being totally genuine. The customer service here is the worst. I have been trying to resolve a billing problem for almost 2 years! The manager is very uncaring. Verizon seems to have pulled all the humanity from their stores. I asked the manager why my refund hasn't been processed since I was in last( just a couple months ago), he said they had just filed the forms and couldn't tell me why it too so long to submit them. Bought a phone from here, had issues with it, wanted to exchange or return within 24hrs and was told that they don't offer exchanges and would be charged a restocking fee to return it. I had a pretty good idea of the new phone I wanted but also had all day to comparison shop, and told the clerk that. Asked if he could come down on the price of the phone. He said no, dismissively. Fine, I get it (but dude, what's up with the attitude?!). Asked him if he could get me a deal on my plan. He looked up my account and said no. SUPER dismissively. So I went to another store, intending to get the same non-deal but hopefully from a less obnoxious clerk. Right away, this clerk pointed out that he could switch me to a plan with *3 more gigs* of data with my same provider for the same monthly rate(!) Do not waste your time at this Verizon store. I went in today to upgrade my phone. I arrived fewer than ten minutes after they opened, and still had to wait nearly a half hour to see someone - not the end of the world; I'm switching from an iPhone to a Google phone, and wanted to experiment with the new phone to make sure I wanted to switch. A rep comes by, asks me some questions, and tells me I'm not able to switch from an iPhone to another brand under the terms of my plan. This seemed suspicious, and I pressed him on it, but he insisted. I left feeling pretty irritated, but then decided to give it another try - this time online. Got the upgrade online and saved some money doing so too. Wish I'd started there! I'd recommend using this store to "showroom," but making your actual purchase online. read more

They both were very patient with me while I tried to get authorization on the account from my dad who was out of town. Tony was helpful and making me feel like the phone switch I was making was right for me. He didn't push sales at all but gave me the facts about each product. I visited this location for a cracked screen on my Iphone that had caused my screen to go black. The phone was still functioning properly, I just could not see the screen. There was one customer being helped when I walked in and I was the next to be helped. A representative greeted me to assist me with my problem. He explained to me that he had just started two weeks ago and he would try to assist me with my problem, at which time I said I understood and it would not be a problem. Boy was I wrong!! After showing him my phone he directed me to a demo phone to call the company I had insurance coverage through to file a claim. I had to place 4 different calls to the company because the company could not hear any voice communication through the phone I was using. I then went to, who I assumed was the manager on duty ( sounds like the same MOD that Kimberly C mentioned in her review) to ask for someone to assist me with the call and was told to try to work it out the problem on my own while waiting for someone to help. This was now 1 1/2 hours from the time since I had walked in the door. 6 to 8 customers have come and gone since I had started my adventure. I do not blame the new representative for his ability to solve my issue, but at the time he became overwhelmed with my problem, the entire staff at this store left him by himself to continue to try to solve my problem. Their unwillingness to assist him when he needed help was disgusting. I will find another store to go to and will not return to this store until some changes in personnel takes place. read more

VERIZON WIRELESS customer service is HORRIBLE! After 20 years with Verizon Wireless I have begun migrating my family and friends away from Verizon Wireless products and services. Simply put, they have demonstrated to have ZERO value for the customer. $400+/ month for services, DAYS of wasted time. Energy and stress has been beyond necessary, and very damaging. The number of DAYS on hold, verifying myself, to be transferred, to repeat the process, to be either disconnected or some other disruption to obtaining effective service is something too many of us have experienced. I will only share my latest, because they are all (and there are many) equally absurd. Absolutely ABSURD! Verizon Cloud is not accessible... MY DATA (with PII), not accessible to me. HOURS to reach a Tier 2 Supervisor, with the tools to assist me... begins to effectively assist me, because he has the tools to do so... we get disconnected. HOURS, into days, making attempts to reach the closest thing to support I believe is expected... not a chance. This is not user error, rather the right Verizon Wireless supervisor with the tools and permissions to provide access to my account. Tier 1 and Tier 2 representatives, from all departments (and there are many) are not able to assist. I know, because they have tried. I am stating DOZENS of representatives, not a few. No account manager that makes a connection with a customer, rather representatives reading scripts and directing calls, as we are simply another number to them. Verify, restate, repeat. "Please hold." It seems like a test of wills. How long will it take for the customer to give up? I visit Verizon Wireless Store 1003 yesterday, to be told they are unable to assist me, and referred me to the Tech Coach. I have only went that route 50x, and I did not enter the physical store to make a call... I request calmly, then with agitation, for a physical human to assist me. The manager requested I wait outside while I make the calls. I insist he take the time to assist me as I have exhausted all avenues of access, multiple times. Referring me to a phone number is NOT SERVICE. The police are called to request I stand outside. No charges filed. I call the Tech Coach... texting with Tier 1 support... around and around, wait, wait, wait. Concurrently, I call another Verizon service number... on hold 90 minutes before a representative starts me from the beginning, reverification, explain the issue, (you know the drill), to be escalated to Tier 2 support... on hold 2 hours 30 minutes. Concurrently, the manager had contacted Verizon via *611 on his phone, to finally get through to a representative 30+ minutes later. The representative calls me back on my phone. The call is escalated to a Tier 2 support, who again has me go through the reverification, restate my issue (rather than fully read my interactions with so many representative before him), and provide verbal diarrhea that continues to be of no help, including why I would use Verizon Cloud with my current iPhone. I paid for 600GB of Cloud storage. Where is my data? Why do I not have access to my Verizon Cloud data (via any phone, nor my computer)? Within this interaction... my cell phone battery dies. It was fully charged the 4 hours prior, when I arrived at the store. You cannot make this up? This is the reality of an unvalued customer. This is way too many of our experiences. I really do wish a corporate executive had a greater understanding of the absolutely horrible service they are providing to customers. "Can you hear me now?" Way to large of a company to be effective for me. A single customer matters not. I waited too long to leave Verizon Wireless, and I encourage others to do the same, until a customer's voice is heard. If the cost of our time and money was on Verizon Wireless, service would be upgraded quicker than the cell towers are put up. For me, I really did not wish to write this negative review, nor waste the time to do so. However, the cost of time and money, for such poor customer service is potential for a class-action lawsuit. I would join! It only takes a human being, a representative with an understanding of the importance of customer service, to recognize the need to change this horrible experience. No need to call me Verizon Wireless, I know you will not resolve my concerns, unless a corporate executive hears the case. I am not optimistic to say the least. I came in to buy a new phone. A salesman by the name of Elijah was the one helping me. I asked questions about different phones and he provided me with very little information about each option. I picked the iPhone 11. I asked if the phone came in colors.He told me that this phone didn't come in any colors. "They don't make this phone in colors. They don't do that anymore for some reason" so I bought the standard black one. When I got home I was informed that the iPhone 11 does come in colors. So I called the store and asked for an exchange. The salesman lied about what he told me reporting "I did tell her about the colors". Fortunately, management approved of the exchange with no additional charges. So I went into the store the next day to pick up the phone in color. I worked with a salesperson named Justin who was very helpful and patient considering it was time consuming to do the exchange on this when it wasn't even his sale in the first place. I appreciate his effort to get me the phone that I had wanted in the first place. He deserves the commission on the sale, not Elijah. I rated my experience a 2 but after working with Justin and getting the phone I wanted, I would rate the overall experience a 5. read more

HORRIBLE experience. I visited this store on 11/29 for the first time. The rep Justin was awful. Rude and obnoxious attitude. Second time i visited a week later to exchange faulty phone. Jason Ricker, supervisor, would not honor the verizon exchange policy. He said he could not because he needed to preserve inventory for new customers. I took the phone next day to another store and it was exchanged in compliance with policy. Jason Ricker is a horrible representation of this Verizon Wireless store. He seems to have management support for his bad behavior towards customers. Justin and others on his team seem to follow his example. I complained to two supervisors about his behavior and got the clear impression they really dont care. The boilerplate language response from customer service that will probably follow this review is meaningless. read more

My husband and I came into the store when it was snowing. There were multiple employees standing around not doing anything. We signed in. Stood there fod about 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The employee that came over looked annoyed. The first thing he said to us was "how did you know we were open?" My husband then replied because it's normal business hours. The employee was extremely rude to us the whole time we were there. The reason we went in to the store is because I dropped my iPhone in water and.needed to replace it. The employee never made eye contact with us. He was more interested in checking his text messages and taking personal phone calls. We won't be going back to this Verizon store. read more

After about five minutes, a lady came back and said there were now only two people ahead of us....Saw everyone there before us be taken and random people walking into the store getting helped before us. Was in the store for an hour waiting. Decided to leave and told lady at the front door it was taking too long...she had nothing to say. Really? If I could give them zero stars I would! Most of the employees there are rude, not interested in doing their job correctly (or at all), and provide AWFUL customer service!!! I just moved to the area and I went into that store to get a phone replaced under warranty, I waited forever to talk to anyone on a Wednesday morning and then when I talked to a guy named Kurt he was passive, not friendly and clueless! He placed an order and it mysteriously "never went through" I found out two days later! What the hell?! Then when I called to check where my phone was because it never came, the idiots left me on hold and closed the store. I called at 8:30 and when they closed at 9:00 I was left on hold! Then once I got my replacement phone, I went in there and dealt with a small young guy with glasses, he was SUPER rude and judgemental. He was treating me like I was stupid for not knowing how to do this or that and he was just looking for any reason to be rude. I left that store knowing I would never go back to that wretched place.
