I stopped here to pick up a modem. There was a long wait and screaming kids. The clerk at the desk was nice and instructed us to take a seat. The guy helping me appeared crabby and unhappy he was working. When finally with him the service requested or checking my account eas fast and we didn't pay anything due to needing to connect with our apartment complex. Overall the store we clean and they had a lot of other miscellaneous products. I hope it was an anomaly that he was so grumpy. read more

Had amazing customer service from Devon and Bryce over the multiple visits I have had to make to this store over the past week. For some reason I am not getting a text to submit a survey directly to Xfinity, so I'm hoping this review matters. They were kind, knowledgeable, direct, and pleasant. My problems unfortunately are still ongoing thanks to Xfinity itself, but they have made every step very easy for me, and I don't dread going to the store to complete the next one. We had absolutely atrocious customer service today by Justin (wouldn't give us his last name) at the Xfinity store at 12415 Wayzata Blvd Suite 10, Minnetonka, MN. My brother went in to the store to simply drop off/return a cable box that was no longer working. That's it. Just drop it off. (Since I live out of state, I was unable to do that myself.) My poor brother, who is easily flustered, was trying to explain that he was dropping this off and that he had the account number on his phone. Justin did not give him time to explain; cut him off; was not patient and would not listen to him. My brother then called me and asked that I talk to Justin because he wouldn't help him drop off the box. While I'm on the phone, my bother turned to Justin and said that he had to talk to me so I can explain - At which point I hear Justin say to my brother very loudly, "I do not HAVE to talk to anyone! I have others to help." My brother was shaking when he left there because he was so upset. That is unacceptable behavior for anyone. What is the world coming to when yelling at or belittle customers is acceptable?? read more

After four calls to offshore customer service which I totally loathe and some remedial " let's send a signal, unplug, wait 15 seconds" I know the drill c'mon dudes! I can handle level one tech support myself. I never-ever phone customer service because why? After schlepping all the way over to their store and waiting, the nice guy sealed it with a crisp high five promising zero agita. Wrong! I am very perturbed. Not only did they give me a refurbished modem they swapped out, it has someone else's user name and password. I totally do not have the warm fuzzies right now. The bonus feature; the employees don't greet you, you have to seek out the person compiling a list of names and wait, and wait and wait. No at all cool. Shame on you Xfinity. 6/05/2018 Had to return as I was given the wrong modem. Pro tip: don't employ yourself in an area where you clearly don't like the customers. We have had Xfinity for less than two months and it's a scam. $35 a month and you get nothing. We literally stream YouTube on a Roku tv that's it and the Wi-Fi will not connect. I've requested to file an official complaint more than a few times and they do nothing. You're lucky to get 30 seconds of working connection and then it buffers. Force you into a 12 month contract or buy their garbage router outright and your service will not work. Disgusting company read more

They always seem to try to upsell you into a new contract. I feel unfortunate that I've done with them for 15 years and I still struggle with their service side. They push their technicians to try to upsell you while you're having issues, and you just want them to fix an issue. They were concerned with security so I was locked out of my TV service because they wanted me to update my password. It took over one hour and three different technicians in the issue was still not taken care of. I got disconnected and they never called me back. read more

I'll start by saying I completely understand that somethings are out of the employees control but going here (this location in particular) will make me want to cancel my service 99% of the time. I requested to have my service moved about a month ago as I have moved and I don't want to pay $70 a month for a service I can't use. A Comcast representative contacted me and told me there was an issue with the location I was moving my service to and that I had to bring in "a piece of mail" (I needed a lease to be exact-- which I had, but isn't want he told me) to prove that I lived at the location I was moving to. I went in and there were 3 people ahead of me. We waited about 10 minutes before we were called over to get help. We explained the situation and showed the documentation we needed. We were then told we needed management approval but there was no manager there. I guess he sent his manager a text to see when they were coming in. I was asked to sit and wait "about 30 minutes" for a manager to come in. That was just a guess, who knows if a manager was even coming in. The fact that I was uncertain if my issue was actually going to be resolved in 30 minute, I decided to leave. I can't afford to waste my day away at Comcast in hopes that a manager will come in at some point in the day. The attitude of the employee and how the whole situation was dealt with was unprofessional. If you need a manager to make things happen a manager should be there/available (even remotely) from the time the store opens until they close. I shouldn't have to travel back and forth to pop in to see when a manager is in to get my service going. When I said I didn't want to wait 30 minutes in store, the staff said "you can try to come back later to see if my manager is in". That tells me they may or may not be in later so I may or may not be able to get my issue resolved. I went to the Brooklyn Park location right after leaving here. They had 3x the customers of this location and got my issue resolved (with the manager being able to help me/approve remotely) and we got in and out in 15 minutes. You can feel the "I don't care if you do business with us" attitude here! Honestly I don't care to give my money to Comcast either. read more

This store is annoying and thinks nothing of wasting your time. First, after a long wait, the employee didn't include all of the necessary cables for my set up. I had to make another trip to the store to get the missing cable. Another long wait of course. While there I also purchased a small accessory for my phone. It did not work for my phone, so upon going back to the store simply to return it for a refund I had to wait again. While very friendly, the first guy made an odd ageist comments because I brought a piece of paper with my order # on it rather than "just take a picture of it.". Who cares? I enjoy a happy work place, but perhaps focus more on efficiency so we don't always have to wait so long than skipping around singing and making awkward "jokes" and small talk. read more

My fiancée and I just moved here from another state and attempted to use our rented Xfinity gateway to set up our service at our new apartment. However, it turns out that we needed new equipment since we had moved into a different Xfinity division. I ended up going to this store and I was super impressed with the quality of customer service. I was helped immediately by a young guy who was very patient and explained things clearly. I was able to get new equipment and also change my plan to a better one; the guy that helped me noticed that I was missing out on a better deal and helped me to change it. I couldn't believe how well the whole experience went, and I really appreciated the great customer service! read more

One of the 1st things the salesman said to me was about "what I have going on behind my mask" implying he thought I looked good and when I made a comment about not caring about that he didn't at all pick up the vibe that I didn't ask for his opinion about my appearance and therefore was uninterested in it. Then to be on the "good side" he talked about how it's MN men that are the worst. He, on the other hand was totally fine tho. Then he told me he "loved my beautiful naked hands" referring to me not having fake nails and I told him his comment was weird. Then later after being pushy and trying to sell me on things I didn't want (now THATS what I expect out of a Comcast interaction) he asked me if I was an "extreme feminist". I came in for internet. That's all. I got a whole goddamn waste of my time and harassed. Congrats, Xfinity. You've taken bad customer service to a whole new level. read more

Yesterday when we got home we found our internet wasn't working, and I was given the error that our service was no longer connected. Rather than try to call on the phone, I decided I'd stop in the store, because it sounded like an account or billing error and it made more sense to talk to someone in person. I walk in the door and step down to the front counter, and I start explaining that I had some questions about my internet service because it wasn't working. The woman was rude. She seemed irritated that I dare come in and ask a question. "It's the modem. How old the modem?" Without asking once for my account number or information to actually look and see if it was something else. I say it's new, and she just immediately cuts me off. "You have to call and have them reactivate the modem." and that was that. I should have stayed and pushed a bit more, but instead I went home. Called Xfinity, and I get put on hold for fifteen minutes. But it was just...this really awkward silence where I could hear people talking in the background. Like I was connected to a phone that was sitting on a table. Fortunately I hung up, quite perturbed, and called back and was able to talk to a super great lady, I wish I could remember her name. She was super helpful. Oh, and my modem didn't need to be reset. :) My account was closed without warning for no real reason, and she could have fixed it in store for me easily. Either way, I've been to this location on a couple occasions, and I've hated both experiences. I hate my job too, but I still put in the effort to treat customers politely because it's how I'd like to be treated. read more

The person from Comcast who came to set up our service(not the first time Comcast was here) cut corners and our tv service goes out several times/week. The answering service people are nice and go through their protocol but it doesn't fix the problem. We are cancelling our service as it has now happened 3 times during the Super Bowl. Why on earth would they not have incoming phone lines in the stores? I've been on the phone for about 20 minutes with some Comcast call center in who-knows-where trying to figure out if they can do Xfinity mobile signups in the store and if so, if they have the phone I want in stock. I abhor this company. they are the only people that I can get these services from in my area, but I am currently on hold with them, have been for 80 minutes at this point because they jumped my bill 30% for the exact same services. speed is unreliable for internet, and generally this company has a terrible customer service plan in general. if you aren't talking to customer loyalty, it is a waste of time, and even then generally it is a waste of time. If there were literally any other provider available in my building in my neighborhood, would use them instead. read more

I noticed that I had additional charges on my account this month. I became aware of this because my credit card provider sent me an automated email since the transaction was not the same as the other months. The description on the bill said Service Protection Plan $4.9911/15 - 12/14 and Service Protection Plan $5.48 10/12 - 11/14 I have no idea what this charge is for. I called a rep and they quickly credited my account. I still have no idea what the charges were for. The phone connection was terrible and could barely make out what they were saying. My internet goes out at least twice a week and we have to reset the router. I pay for more than the minimum service. It worked great for the first month or two we had service. It gradually decreased in speed and frequently stops working. The only reason that I am with Comcast is because they have a monopoly in Minneapolis for cable internet. I am very dissatisfied and will be switching providers when I leave Minneapolis or as soon as another provider is able to enter the market. read more

I went here in hopes to lower my monthly bill. My first impression was the facility was very clean and nice! (usually go to the downtown Minneapolis one which is like going to a courthouse to get your license renewed except 10 x smaller you literally have to draw a number) the people here in excelsior were super welcoming and helpful right when I walked in the door! I chatted with the lady and she explained every plan they have and have had she highlighted pamphlets and everything so I could visually see the different plans. In the end I walked out of there with my phone bill 60$ lower with the same services! Do I agree with promotions and having to find a new promotion every two years? Had decided to switch from CenturyLink and ordered internet and phone service from Xfinity through their St Louis Park, MN store. The technician arrived and acted like he had never seen a job that didn't already have cable running to the house. He said it would be 2 months before underground cable could be installed. This was not a problem for us since our existing CenuryLink service was satisfactory. However, Xfiinity did not cancel the disconnect of our old service and we nearly lost not only our phone service but also our phone number which we had had for 40+ years! It took me hours on the phone going back and forth between Xfinity and CenturyLink until finally stopping the process only hours before the final disconnect was to occur. When I complained at the store they just shrugged it off like it was not important. I left the Xfinity underground cable installation as scheduled. Then after about a month 2 technicians arrived in an Xfinity truck. They said "cable," but neither of them spoke enough English to explain why they were there. I tried to explain to them that we didn't yet have cable to the house. I think the finally understood because one of them said "machine" which I took to refer to the equipment required to do the underground cable run. I again stopped at the SLP Xfinity store to ask why these people were sent when we didn't yet have the service in place and to ask why Xfinity would not have at least one person who spoke english on a crew. I was again met with complete indifference. After a few days I thought I would double check the date of the underground installation and my wife and I again stopped at the St. Louis Park Xfinity store. We were directed to a woman sitting at a computer nearest the front of the store. She acted like she was completely bored and that helping us was a real inconvenience for her - no smile, no greeting, no emotion at all! When we left, my wife said "I am not comfortable dealing with this company." The next day I called CenturyLink and upgraded our service with them. I appears that Xfinity still has not overcome their poor customer service reputation, especially as demonstrated by at least one of their SLP store personnel. Xfinity services are great until you have an issue. It's annoying to deal with Comcast phone reps, phone troubleshooting, getting tech out. going into this store (for equipment issues--cell phone, internet modems, cable receiver) is simpler/faster. Parking is easy, it's always quicker than I anticipate it'll be and the reps are just fine. Did not believe all of these (very dramatic) negative reviews. This place is a-ok. read more

Comcast in general has a terrible reputation, and if AT&T provided internet services in Minnesota I definitely would not have even considered Comcast. HOWEVER, if more Comcast customer service reps where as kind, quick, and knowledgable as Rhonda at the Xfinity store in St. Louis Park, MN, Comcast might have a better reputation. That had to be the quickest I've ever been in an Internet/phone etc store ever, and was given all the information I needed to self-install everything myself. Empower your employees and customer service will improve. I recommitted to new service yesterday and was told to go to the xfinity store to get a new modem. I went to the St. Louis Park location and they told me I was not told the whole story and they have this happen all the time. They told me I could not get a new modem without having my old modem with me. I thought the whole reason for getting the new modem at the store was so we didn't have any down time (my wife works from home). It would have been simple to give me the new modem and bring back the old one later, but no, their employees don't have the decision making ability to allow that.
