If I could give them 0 stars I would. Where we live in Arizona (Oro Valley) at the time they were the only option for tv/internet/wi-fi and land line phone (for faxing). Not only was the service poor- - there were many outages and poor communication with anyone at Comcast/Xfinity. Every year in December we would receive a notice (Important information regarding our Xfinity services and pricing) As an example, in 2020 the broadcast TV charge was $14.95. By 2026 it was now at $44.15. Similar increases occurred in most other services. We were able to switch to AT and T - (Direct TV, wi-fi, internet, and better service, all at a savings of about $600 per year. XFinity has been losing customers in large numbers over the past few years. This is not only a reflection of their prices but also of their service. Trying to contact anyone at Xfinity or Comcast is a real challenge. I am happy to say I was able to change providers, and able to receive better service at a lower cost. read more

Xfinity lied to us and fraudulently charged our account without our consent. In the course of trying to get an internet outage serviced, we were offered two FREE Samsung A36 telephones by the Xfinity service representative. He told me that we would only pay a $25 each connection charge, and other small charges on the phones. During a LENGTHY discussion I told him repeatedly that we did NOT want the phones if we had to pay for them. He stated MULTIPLE TIMES that the phones certainly, unequivocally were FREE. Under those conditions I accepted charges for what were presented as incidental fees. I was never offered a written/digital copy of the agreement. Two days later, our bill showed that we were charged for the complete amount of the phones, totaling $800.00! After MANY HOURS on chat and with telephone support attempting to correct the issue, I was told that the free phone offer was conditional upon switching from another company (also NOT DISCLOSED in the original discussion). Our phones have been with Xfinity for 6 1/2 years. I tried to get help on the matter from Xfinity, but that was absent. Finally, after reporting this to the FCC, we were contacted by a rep. The only remedy we were offered was to return the phones, which took MORE HOURS of our time. This PR rep kept trying to frame what happened as a "misunderstanding". There was ZERO misunderstanding here. I was emphatic in my refusals of the phones if they were not free, and was assured MULTIPLE TIMES they were. Nobody with Xfinity ever acknowledged the injustice we were subjected to nor took any responsibility for the lies. We were told, "I'm sorry" -- but apologies don't give me the over FIFTEEN HOURS of my time trying to resolve these issues, not to mention the stress of being lied to and defrauded. The over 15 HOURS of my time wasted included -- -- trying to get through their phone tree to a real individual who might or might not help -- being connected to the incorrect department via live chat, wasting more time -- multiple efforts to upsell us to a more expensive plan (or the fraud phone offer) rather than solve the problem we presented with -- losing phone service because their system cannot switch connections from one phone to another effectively -- a total lack of empathy on the part of PR -- no response when I after being was told I would get a call from a supervisor -- getting messages from their scheduling department with a callback number that was restricted, so impossible to complete the call -- after being promised a call at an appointed time, Xfinity failed to make the appointment -- multiple dropped connections from their end just as we were getting close to completion of tasks, necessitating repeated restarts on the process -- interminably long waits for their system to make a single change in internet or phone settings -- over a week to get each service appointment, resulting in our internet being out for over three weeks -- repair person left trash in our yard, left wiring incomplete and the box open, did not return to complete as promised -- lack of compensation for the HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS OF TIME LOST!!! We are STILL WAITING for our phones to get properly reconnected and returned to their original status. I am OUTRAGED and DISGUSTED at the fraudulent misrepresentation by Xfinity, their absurdly inefficient system, looong wait times, lack of follow through, and overall lack of care. I just need to rant for a moment about Xfinity. I had the most horrible experience with them! Still ongoing. I had internet with them since 2020. It started out as $40/mo but they slowly raised it to $75/mo. I recently switched to T-Mobile internet for just $40/mo so I canceled Xfinity. Of course when I canceled they offered to drop my price down to $45/mo, to which I said nope. Then they still charged me for that month. And a month later they pulled $120 out of my bank account! I was so upset I had forgotten to unlink it. They said it was for "equipment" they sent me that I didn't return. I never received said equipment. I have since spent countless hours on the phone with them getting this fixed. But it's been over a month and they still haven't refunded my money. They promised over and over again they would but it's in a month and I'm still waiting. If you are ever considering them..I HIGHLY recommend NOT using them. And if you do ever cancel with them make sure you remove all of your card and bank account data because I wouldn't put it past them to do this to everyone. First impressions: I've had this service for about a year and half (First time customer), and I can finally write this review after some time and really thinking about the service. In short, Xfinity is a huge let down when it comes to service, customer care and the value/quality you receive from an ISP. Staff: If you are lucky to get a hold of one, there actually pretty nice honestly. Service: Well, what can I say? I would probably experience drops in service at least 6-12 times in a month sometimes more. The ability to get a hold of someone via phone is practically impossible, and quite aggravating to say the least. It's as if they go to great lengths to avoid talking to you based on how their self-serve option is programmed. If you need to talk to someone, be prepared to get a huge run-around and spend a good amount of time trying to reach someone. Luckily I have some pointers for you to save some time. When you call them and get their automated self-service options, make sure to pick an option and continue to say agent over and over again, and eventually it will connect you to a operator. Not the greatest resolution but the only way I was able to get help. Value: I can't in good faith say this is a good value considering how bad the service can be and when it does have issues, it will probably be the most frustrating time you will experience in terms of getting help or customer care. Be prepared for that. The prices really aren't bad for the speed you "pay for" but after doing some test of my own, you might be lucky to get maybe 50% of the speed you pay for? I have 1200 down, and regularly get 450-600 megabytes per second and now, and this is using there equipment. Recommendations: In my honest opinion, I think you would do a great service to yourself if you really take your time to shop around for options (assuming your not in an area that forces you to Xfinity). I think Xfinity could do a lot better overall but judging off my reviews and everything I've expressed concern, that doesn't seem to be in the least bit of worrisome to them. Do yourself a favor and spend a bit more time and weigh your options out a bit more. There are plenty of mobile services that offer great internet packages and the best part is, you can actually get great customer service for the product your using and receiving. Comcast has the worst customer service I have ever seem. I can never reach a real agent no more how hard I try. And every month the cost keeps going up $10-20 more. I was just informed that my package will cost about $278 next month. So, after about 25 years of terrible service, I am canceling Comcast ASAP and moving to DISH which charges about half as much as Comcast. I had an experience on Saturday September 27 . My power had went out , it was my 2 kids conjoined birthday party , I couldn't get anything done without power due to the bad storm , I knew I had a tech appointment at 2 pm , which I was super stoked about because internet had been out since the Sunday before. Joseph showed up in the middle of my stressful day , I told him my power was out, I expressed to him about my stressful day , and that I had been awaiting patiently for a tech to come and solve at least that problem. He was absolutely amazing!!!!!! He told me no need to worry, that he would take care of everything, he did his magic outside , helped me make a cute meaningful user name with me ( he asked me what I wanted to to be . ... at that point i couldn't even imagine thinking of one ) . He did an amazing job making my day . This is the kind of service that we all deserve , but rarely get. This guy was a one of a kind guy to me that day , made my stressful day feel lighter, and when power came back on , we had wifi , just as promised. Service has been good and affordable, has not caused me to many issues to worry to much about , except when the neighbor runs over the junction box to the neighborhood multiple times . read more

Then, the new modem was faulty ( lound humming noise from the fan trying to stop it from overheating). Lastly, when I called to ask for a different unit, the call took 40 minutes during which time I was on hold a lot, was given 2 sales pitches for more expensive service, and was unable to accomplish the simple purpose of the call. We have been customers of Xfinity Mobile for a little over a year but have been Xfinity/Comcast customers for over a decade. We recently when on a trip to Spain and we activated our global travel pass before we left. While in Spain we went to a little micro-country called Andorra. While there I used 69MB and got 4 text messages only to communicate with the person we were meeting that was showing us to our accommodations and to use my maps (I'm sure the other things like email etc were updating in the background to make up the 69MB). Apparently, Andorra is not covered under the global pass even though it's owned/governed by France and Spain which ARE covered under the pass. So now I'm on the hook for $1400 for 69MB and 4 text messages. I called customer service and was on the phone for close to an hour only to be told they can't help me. This is extortion!!!! We are now switching cell phone companies, internet companies, and will be taking some legal action. This is criminal, but as I look back over the years at the service problems we've had with internet and cable it's not a surprise. read more

These people sold my grandmother a $1000 iphone 15 with an e-sim, which is bad enough since anyone with common sense would know an 86 year old woman could not handle a phone with that much going on. I sent her back with a note and a cheaper, more simple phone saying EXACTLY what needed to be done in great detail (esim transferred to a physical sim card and put into the new phone) AND WHAT DO THESE PEOPLE DO? SELL HER A $500 IPHONE AGAIN. It is very obvious that my grandmother has troubles with technology, and these people have scammed her out of $1500 and taken advantage of her inexperience with technology to get a better commission. I tried to call them to explain the situation and get help and it was impossible to get through their atrocious AI response, since none of the categories they offered were correct and no matter what you said or requested all you could get through was a payment (lovely, more money). I have never in my life had to deal with a company this money hungry, i hope every single one of those employees is ashamed of themselves for exploiting an elderly person to raise their paychecks and I hope this company finds itself in bankruptcy for its shady business practices. I have been a Comcast/Xfinity user for more than 20 years. I have spent 2 days trying to modify my services to reduce what I consider to be an "obscene" monthly bill. I am now waiting for a return call which is promised to occur within the next 57 minutes. There is no way to connect with a person until you've jumped through endless attempts to go through or around their online service assistant. There is also no way to cut or reduce the level of services using their "Xfinity Assistant." I will give them a 1 rating because there is no way to give them a lower rating. We've had Xfinity mobile since it first came out. Have had zero issues. Ordered a new phone a month ago. Said it would be here in 2 days, Bobbys new phone came right away, no sign of mine. Wasn't a huge deal because my phone was in working order. Checked on it multiple times, kept being assured it would be here soon. Then my phone broke and it became a more urgent matter. Was told the phone had shipped and ups had it, ups said they never received it. Went to the xfinity store and basically was told there's nothing they can do i simply have to wait for the phone to arrive (let's be real it's never coming). Then was told it was lost in the warehouse, then on back order and finally Monday they said they would put in a "lost phone ticket" and to call back at the end of the week to reorder. Well now they said they won't even start the investigation until the 28th. Absolutely unacceptable to not have a phone for a month, that I'm PAYING FOR. So see ya Xfinity. Avoid Xfinity (Comcast) or risk getting aggravated with every contact with them. They have set up a phone system designed to be impenetrable if you need reach a live person (e.g. billing question to deal with billing errors, or service to address reception issues). they will shunt you around forever if you try to use the automated system, unless you are disconnected after investing time enough to reach a certain point. If you are able to reach someone by figuring out how to beat their automated system, chances are you will reach people who are poorly trained. Two different people will give you different advice, sometimes neither works out. Promises made are not kept. They are expensive and raise rates frequently. They are consistently at the bottom of customer satisfaction surveys, and for good reason. read more

This review is regarding the Xfinity telephonic customer service line only (the employees in the River Rd, Tucson store are helpful, though it seems that they may recirculate old cable boxes at times, instead of issuing a brand new box). The customer service line is a joke. It's designed to send the caller on a 10-15 minute circular wild goose chase. In spite of clearly saying, "I need to speak with a representative please" at least two dozen times, the automated service continues to redirect the caller back to original choices. If what you need is not in the menu offered by the automated attendant, you're screwed. Most people will hang up in frustration. Terrible automation and NOT customer friendly at all. read more

After a discussion with Xfinity about my monthly bill which went up to $77, we agreed to a lower price of $55 per month (with senior and disability rates) effective May 1, 2023. A confirmation code was given. Instead when my May billed arrived it went up to $102. I tried many times to get through to a customer service representative only to be thwarted by the automated service (horrible ordeal). On May23rd I finally get an actual service representative who informs me that she cannot help me because I don't have the debit card number my caregiver uses (she is not here 24/7) to pay the bill that is in my name, though again the name and address on the bill is mine. So today I find that I can no longer watch TCM. I have to "up" my service to a higher level of premium channels to add that one channel back in. Really? Is Comcast so desperate that they need the money? We have no choice on the west side of Tucson with regards to a cable company. Just like the east side of Tucson has to use Cox. So Comcast has a captive market. As Hulu, Prime, Sling, etc get better and have more channels, Comcast is going to lose more and more customers to streaming services. We are now looking into getting rid of Comcast - it appears that we'll be able to save around $175/month by switching to streaming. Wish I could give zero stars and am going to report to regulatory agency to see if this is a pattern. For the last 30 minutes I have called, signed in on my laptop, used the app on my phone and it is impossible to talk to someone or cancel my service. On the app, with the virtual chat, it takes you to the point where it says you can cancel, then says I have to call the number where even putting in my account number, etc, etc. I can not get past the automated service. It appears they truly want people to give up. Another example of terrible customer service where a company that makes billions apparently can't hire people to give service and there automated chat and phone takes you in circles getting no where. I have two accounts and I am going to see if there are any other options in my area for service bc this is just horrible service. That there would be no installation fees/charges. I'm now being billed $39.99. (LIE # 1). The installation tech. Said that within 2 weeks that the orange cable he laid on the ground from the outside box to my home would be buried. (LIE # 3). When contacting Xfinity customer service they indicated that the tech. Internet has been completely down for a month now, in my unit only, because the wire underground is "20 years old" and needs to be replaced. Cool. Except it took 7 days to schedule the utilities company to come out and mark the ground. It took 14 days for utilities to actually come out and mark the ground. Then silence from xfinity. Remember when I said I live in an apartment complex? Well, those markings on the ground are being stepped on and messed up daily by the many other people that live here, while I wait for some kind of communication from this company. Online chat and 1800 number is routed to India where they cannot help you whatsoever with these kinds of requests.
