Unbelievable what this company just put me through. Weeks of trying to get someone on the phone then weeks of going to the store. The person in the store can't help you they put you on a tablet to talk to someone from billing who promises you that it's been taken care of and it hasn't. Someone hacked into my account and Comcast keeps reversing the charges to me so then the people at the store made me go outside and wait for fraud to call me after 45 minutes of answering the same questions over and over they had me write down a ticket number and I saved it for two days. I called them back to ask him what's going on with my fraud case and they lost my ticket number. What?! so I had to drive up there and do the whole thing over again and guess what it's been over two weeks and they lost my second ticket number again !!! on top of that they are rude to you. I am not getting 1/10 of the Internet speed I am paying for. At its best I get 29 Mbps/5.5 Mbps, while I am paying for 200 Mbps/15 Mbps. I tried calling customer support I don't know how many times, they will ask did you restart your router? And after the restart, it would still be the same. Their customer support is easy to reach and once you get a hold of someone, they are not helpful at all. Again echoing another. I wish there was a score lower than zero. Xfinity, without my permission went to my bank account and took a total of 171$ an $80 without permission. They also charged me for a second phone line, gave me a second phone number and I knew NOTHING about it. Someone also bought a second phone that I knew NOTHING about - hence the $171 charge. Zero stars I had Xfinity for home Internet and so many issues where I would lose service in windy days. I would set to have a tech come out and they would never show so I missed a full days of work and the issues wouldn't get fixed. I kept telling people on the phone and the techs that a truck came through and pulled the line outside and that needed to be replaced . After a year and 10 days missed at work a tech found the issue and I was correct. Then I was told it would take 6 months to fix the issue cause the they have to run the line across the road. A new underground cable had to be pulled to our house in order to deliver service including the broadband internet. This required some inspections to make sure that the digging would not interfere with water, gas, electric or phone services in the area. After that, a Comcast installer came out on August 17 (our original desired service date was July 12) and connected the line to drops inside the house. He was from the business service dept, which worked in our favor as he did a great job. I had purchased a new cable modem because the one we previously used was not compatible with the new service. We were given a level of service that included voice (phone) but the cable modem doesn't do voice. Happy to see around 900 Mbits download speed. Back in business with telework, home automation, etc. and cable TV. Long story short, don't trust the Xfinity "move" web site to get the job done. Have a backup plan such as hot spots if internet access is critical after a move. Good luck! read more

By far the worst experience I've had when trying to deal with customer service. We've been told multiple times that our router is ready for pick up yet they have none in stock at the store. Then tried to get it sent to my residence and our order hasn't shipped after a week of waiting after they told us it shipped! Said 30 day money back guarantee, but when I contacted them on the 30th day, they immediately shut off my phone, TV service internet, two phone lines etc. within minutes when I complained about poor customer service. Their installers did a very sloppy install, left wires hanging out of wall etc. I called complaining about channels that wouldn't work etc. 3 times. the third time they charged me $56.00 for a service call Didn't fix anything. I cancelled on the 30th day and asked for my money back. I turned my equipment that date. They hijacked my phone numbers that I had for 30 years, and I had to go over a month without phone service, TV cable, or internet . it took 6 months to get my money back. and many hours of calling for everything else. I called last month about my bill since I am on a fixed income. I was PROMISED a new lower fee (taxes included) of $245 with NO SERVICE fee of $70......AND NO CHANGE IN MY SERVICE because I was a "VALUED CUSTOMER OF 40 YEARS"!!!!!! Of course I get my new Bill and the $70 fee is there after I was told by several agents that it was in their notes and would be waived. The Bill was slightly lower than my old Bill because they DROPPED my EPIX movie channels!!!!!!! I called...........they did drop the $70 service fee they promised, did reinstate the EPIX channels, but did not honor the $245 price they had told me OVER AND OVER again it would be. VERIZON has been sending out people door/door in my neighborhood and say that FIOS is FINALLY AVAILABLE in my area. I used them for a long time. They have consistently been 3 stars. I cancelled my wi-fi and mobile phone service with them approximately 2 weeks ago. I'm still receiving emails from them that my mobile bill is past due, and I called them twice within the last week and they confirmed that my accounts were closed and fully paid. For about a month and a half, I had little to no wi-fi service (meaning spotty to no tv and computer service). They originally told me they could fix the problem, after about an hour, they told me that I needed a new box and that it would not cost me anything. That I would need to approve the order in their app. So, the app indicated that it would cost me $5 per month, but I approved it anyway. They told me that it would be delivered very soon. To this day, it was never delivered and I was still charged the full bill amounts for both the wi-fi and the mobile phone service. I have a new provider for wi-fi and a different new provider and new i-phone for mobile service! read more

I was then told that I needed a new modem and they would mail it to me. I had to then call them when I recieved it to figure out how to make it work. The store was busy, but they had an efficient and quick queue to get people serviced very quickly. The associates were friendly and they worked in a good system together. We can't tell Comcast that the storm took down a massive tree, together with electric and internet service wires and a telephone pole, in the backyard of the Durands, who live down the street, You just can't. Two days ago, I got a text message from Comcast saying my internet service has been fixed. But that's a LIE. My internet ISN'T fixed and there's no way to let anyone know that. There's no possible way to call a number and say to a live person, "Hey, my internet is STILL down!! Six whole days after the storm. This Internet service is garbage. Go with Verizon and FIOS if you have the option. I had Verizon for 18 months, and it ran more or less perfectly. I've had Comcast for a month, and we've had several outages. We had a tech over this week to try to address the issue, and he did some things and said it was fixed, and Monday morning we logged back and on and the Internet is spotty and the modem needs to be restarted several times a day. Bottom line is this company is not able to deliver consistent service nor address problems when they arise. I strongly recommend finding a way to go with any other internet provider. A technician has just left my home after I have been experiencing multiple disconnects from my network. I have been dealing with this issue for at least one year. I called once or twice about the issue in the last year and the customer service rep each time said they sent a signal to my router and it would not happen again. Well, in the last few months, especially the last few days, I kept losing connectivity to my network and had to keep restarting the router. In addition to constantly losing connectivity to my network, I was constantly losing connection with my Ring doorbell and had to keep going through the tedious task of removing it from my door and reconnecting it to the network. I was told by the technician that the router was completely faulty and it was so loud he said it sounded like a fan and he asked me how long it had been that way and I told him since it was installed. He said the tech who installed it should have known by the loud noise that it was faulty. I called to ask for only a six month credit for the rent I have been paying for this faulty router. They would not honor my request claiming there is no paper trail of my calls to them nor about them saying they were sending a signal to the router at least twice last year and lately in the last 3 days it totally just went out on me. They claim I was using the router and was getting internet service so they will not refund me any rental fees. I trusted their employees who kept telling me there was nothing wrong with the router and all it needed was restarting and a signal sent. I did not keep calling them because I just restarted the router constantly and chocked it up to the traffic and crowding. I do not work for Xfinity, therefore there was no way for me to know the router was not supposed to sound like that. I am a loyal customer and I have not missed a beat with paying my bill early every single month for two years. I think it is very sad that this company does not care about the frustrations their customers experience while trying to use their service, nor about the fact that the bill has never been late and always early. I think I will start researching other providers because they made me feel as though the faulty router was my fault because I did not complain enough. That is just ridiculous to blame someone because they did not know any better due to trusting what customer service reps tell them. Yesterday, I was told the signal was sent again and it would not happen again. So because of that, a few hours later I decided I was going to take my exam for my online class and the internet died on me and I failed the exam! They refunded me only $17 for a whole year or more of internet woes. I got their internet service 2 years ago. It was supposed to be a flat rate, no promotion. They insisted on $110 to "set up" which consisted of plugging in a box and giving me a user name and password. Should have been the first red flag but this was a new home and they were the only company that served our street at the time. After 1 year they raised the price and after another they doubled the price. After 1.5 hours on the phone trying to get an answer they falsely claimed I started at a promotional price and continued on trying to upsell me a package I had no need for that was still double the price of the initial agreement. Just when I thought I had the worst service (Spectrum), I moved to Virginia and signed up with Xfinity Comcast 2 weeks ago. The internet has been terrible, and last night, the modem just turned itself off and won't even start up again...completely dead after 2 weeks. After spending 2 hours on the phone and chat, I accomplished nothing and now I have to wait for 5 days before I will have anyone come out with a new modem. XFINITY Cell Service-- The Worst Anyone who may be considering XFINITY cell phone service, please reconsider your decision. We were considering switching from our current carrier to XFINITY back in September 23 , never received the SIM cards , our current cellular carrier was never notified of our decision to change carriers, yet XFINITY charged us for 4 months of service, a $250 bill for services we never received. We were in touch with XFINITY numerous times to correct this mistake on their part, was promised a refund in 7-10 days, yet now is late January 24 and customer service for XFINITY is now saying it doesn't matter that they never actually switched our carrier to them, they still had us as a customer and we were not eligible for the refund? Their customer service's are located in the Philippines , and half of my time was asking them to repeat what they said due to an issue with their ability to speak clear English. I had to give them a one star rating since I couldn't rate them a minus rating. They are the worst cell phone carrier ever and should lose their credentials as an approved cell carrier. Without question the worst customer service of any operation including the government I have ever contacted. After receiving an email message that an unknown device was connected to my network I attempted to contact customer service. I was connected to a robotic answering service that provided endless commercials for other Xfinity products before being asked questions for which there was no answer. This continued in an endless loop until I hung up and attempted to reach "security." That person informed me that they do not handle issues of security even though that is their title. I called back again, sustaining again and endless loop of commercials and reached a person who claimed they handled security and who then disconnected the call. There are no circumstances under which I would recommend Xfinity. At this point I am cancelling their service and will subscribe to FIOS Internet only service, cut cable, and subscribe to individual streaming apps. There is nothing on either Xfinity or Fios that is worth the price of a subscription for their streaming. I expect to save about $1500 to $2000/year. read more

I'm not an Xfinity customer, but this company has managed to screw me over. I am an RCN customer whose internet and cable abruptly went out this week. When the technician came, he informed me that Xfinity rerouted my line and drilled out the RCN cable box keyhole. This made sense because as soon as my internet went out I suddenly received Xfinity popups to purchase their internet service. As I await RCN to fix this, Xfinity is the only option for purchasing the internet on-demand. This is an absolute disgrace, and I'm sure it's also illegal. read more

Comcast has screwed up my account rendering hot spot useless and not working for me. My problem was first discovered over a month ago. I was made to believe they were working to fix the hot spot restriction, but after a month found out the techs were lying to me. This has happened to me many times in the past. Finally today on 7/29, I was told comcast will do nothing to fix the restriction and I just have to go without this service using hot spot internet. The hot spot service was the only reason why I have tolerated the excessive charge of $300+/month. My home internet drops routinely and not dependable in the second largest municipality outside of Chicago. Only thing they are good for are headaches and ulcers. My advice is use another provider. I'm going to change and sure it will be much cheaper and dependable. Wish I could give them less than one star. read more
