Ordered to go. This place tastes incredibly authentic and flavorful from bite one. Highlights: The roasted duck is a standout and quickly became my husband's favorite. The Singapore noodles were the best I've had in a while--charmingly flavorful with just the right bite. Sometimes the curry flavor is off but not here. The fried rice deserves a shout-out: not oversaturated with soy sauce, which I really appreciated. Crispy pork belly was excellent--crisp edges and juicy interior done right. Family style portions. Overall impression: This place deserves to be rated higher. It's as good as the spots in my Chinatown back in Houston (iykyk for sure). We'll definitely be back before we leave town, because I want to try the dim sum. Worth noting: Consistency in flavor across dishes stood out--well-seasoned, balanced, and satisfying. This restaurant recently opened in Columbus, and I was super excited because I love Chinese style roasted duck. However, I was completely underwhelmed! I ordered duck fried noodles and it was $16 but the amount of duck that was provided was completely inadequate. Literally, the amount of duck was less than a leg. I also ordered roasted pork fried rice, and again, there was hardly any meat! I was totally disappointed! The taste of both entrees was very lackluster, in my opinion! The service was descent and there was were no complaints, but it was not stellar either. The restaurant was nice & clean, I liked that there's a full view for patrons to see the food being prepared. I hope that they'll improve on the flavor and the amount of meat placed in the dishes because currently, it's unacceptable! read more

Delicious food. I come from California where it is really easy to get good Asian cuisine. Found my #1 appt at Xin Kee. I love their wonton soup, happy family, and a few others. Definitely would recommend. They are friendly as well. Even went as far as to suggest some other dishes to try on future visits. read more

This is my first time coming here and it is definitely the best Chinese spot in Columbus as far as quality of the food and authenticity! I only got to try the shumai , fish maw soup, and roast duck on white rice but really enjoyed it all. I would rate it 4 stars in another more populated city but being there's only this one Chinese restaurant in Columbus that serves even just a few choices of dimsum, rated a 5. read more

And it has always been really good every time I go and it's a childhood memory going to supermarkets and getting Chinese food coming from Houston. This is my Fiancée and I's go to spot. Pan fried Noodles are really good. Duck fried rice is ok. Carb Rangoon is ok. Rice congee is good. Soup dumplings felt like frozen dumplings. Mongolian Beef was a total let down. Hard cuts of meat, mostly onions, mediocre sauce. It was not worth a 20 dollars price tag. read more

Delicious! Plenty of tables and chairs on one side of the supermarket and it looks like more food stalls might be coming! This was freshly prepared, tasty and I'm planning my next meal there. They have a big variety and the only complaints were the pieces of chicken in the Mongolian chicken were very large, and the vegetable rolls weren't impressive. Came here with open minds empty stomach's left with sad minds, and empty. Stomach's ordered the half roast duck with lo mein. Wow the roast duck had flavor was juicy the skin was rubbery and it was cold. The duck was cold like ice cold the noodles were good. They had the flavor and they were cooked right. The sweet-and-sour chicken lunch deal came with rice, spring rolls and soup. The rice was OK but just tasted bland. I needed a lot of soya sauce on it for fried rice. You think it had better flavor the soup was awful. I ordered the hot and sour soup and what I was given look like burnt egg drop soup and that's exactly what it taste like was burnt egg drop soup with dish soap in it by far the worst soup I've ever had the sweet-and-sour chicken when I went to take my first by my husband stopped me and immediately said there's a hair on your food. I looked down and I seen that there's hair in my food I was Amelia called in again my sweet-and-sour chicken I tried one piece far away just so I can get a review and while the flavor was there, it was cold. This is a fairly new location inside of the Asian Supermarket in Columbus. They do have tables as an option to dine in however I do feel like they currently encourage more to-go. Service is decent for being new so keep in mind that since they're still getting used to the hang of things depending on what you order and how much of it you order you might be waiting a while. For perspective, the person before me only ordered one dish and the person after ordered 2. I on the other hand ordered 3 appetizers (crab Rangoon,custard buns, and pork sui mai) and 2 dishes (half portion of roasted duck and general tsos chicken). I want to give the benefit of the doubt that all the dishes are made to order hence the longer wait time for me. I did feel bad that I had to ask but I didn't know how many pieces were for each order the appetizers (4 crab Rangoon, 4 pork sui mai, 3 milk custard buns). Both roasted duck and general tsos chicken were larger (larger for our appetites at least) than expected so I'm glad I ordered with the intent to share. Unfortunately the general tsos chicken reminded me more of orange chicken as it was on the sweeter side and the breading was quite thick for what I was expecting but again, portion was a good size but quality was only decent. As the weather gets cooler I would be interested in their soup and congee options but for what they currently offer and for the price it was a less than enthusiastic experience for me. I tossed it in my wok with my own Asian ingredients that qualifies it as fried rice. Crispy pork didn't have much flavor and was not very crispy. For the price I paid, the portions were frugal. Have TRIED to order from this place twice now, once in person and once over the phone.... Both disastrous. Extremely rude employees and horrible customer service, answered the phone as if they were greeting a stranger and not a potential customer then proceeded to laugh and interrupt when trying to order. The prices are ridiculous and from other reviews also short in portions.
