I live a bit of a drive away, however I go on walks here often. Sometimes I end up at Las Margaritas. Today I went for happy hour. The carnitas street tacos were fantastic. I've had them once before, but today reminded me that I should come here more often. The staff is great as well. Being on Front Street in Issaquah also adds to the experience. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon The place was a little bit busy and the were still plenty of space. My girlfriend got the seafood enchiladas. I got the some tacos. They brought out the chips and salsa right away I seem to eat to much of the free stuff before I eat the hot stuff. The staff was fast on filling the water. The plates got there hot and the foot was still cooling from the grill , mine was good. At this time the tacos from here are around a four and a half on my favorite place to get them. We were in Issaquah for Salmon days, walking around all the stalls we saw this restaurant and decided to check it out. Typical Mexican restaurant with Mexican decor and busy with most tables occupied. Clean bathroom and nice bar area . Gentlemen brought the chips and salsa and water as soon as we were seated. Salsa was so flavorful and fresh chips. We got the tres salsa and all of them were so good . Our margaritas were strong and delicious. Another great restaurant in Front street. Plenty of seating area. Although we sat outside; the inside decors are really cool. The staffs were super nice ad well. What we got: Camarones al diabla 4/5 Its a great dish overall; but i wish it was more spicy. But flavors were all there. Carne asada plate 4/5 Really great plate and big portion. The meat were nicely seasoned. Salsa 5/5 The salsa were really really good; we could eat them all day with the complementary tortilla chips. Original margarita 5/5 Wife really love it and will get it again for sure. We also ask for a side of roasted jalapenos which are sooo goooddd. Decided to go for lunch here. Service was great. The food ended up just okay. Had the shredded beef enchiladas. Unfortunately the meat was way too greasy for me. Was hoping for a better outcome. Came here hoping for a solid Mexican meal, but unfortunately it didn't deliver. Service was really slow from the start, and it felt like we were constantly waiting--whether it was to order, get our food, or even get someone's attention. When the food finally came out, my order was wrong, which was frustrating given how long everything took. On top of that, the food itself was pretty bland and lacked the flavor you'd expect. My family has been coming to Las Margaritas at least a few times a year since we moved to Issaquah ten years ago. Honestly though, we haven't been into the restaurant in a while and we were pleasantly surprised when another waiter, a gentleman who has served us in the past, remembered that we prefer our water with no ice and served it to us before we could specifically request it. That was truly above and beyond exceptional service. We love their fresh tasting chips and incredible salsa. It's always a perfect way to start our meal, and the drinks were incredible. I ordered lychee martini and it was delicious and my mom loved her margarita. My favourite dish is the camarones a la diabla and even though it wasn't on the menu, our waiter asked the chef and they were able to make it for me. My parents ordered their go-to of the quesadilla with chorizo which also came out cooked to perfection. Despite how busy it was (being cinco de mayo) our food came to the table in under twenty minutes and was absolutely incredible. I loved how spicy the camarones were and the beans and rice are always my fave. Las Margaritas is one of those small businesses that truly make you feel like part of the family. Their staff is kind and welcoming and we appreciate how efficient and accurate the service is every time we go. Going downhill... food is the about same (decent but not spectacular, good portions), but the prices are high and the service has really slipped. If you want more than one beverage, ask before your food arrives because they aren't coming back (until it's time to present the "pay and tip" screen, at which time our waiter really seemed fond of us again). This is a pet peeve of mine. I've adapted to irritatingly high prices, I tolerate ridiculous "want to tip 30%" prompts at checkout, but you can't abandon guests after dropping off the food. This was our beloved date night restaurant, but last night we decided we don't think $70 for lunch (with one drink) is worth being ignored. read more

We ordered taco salads. The shells were very small. No tomatoes or cheese. Very little lettuce. Half filled with soupy refried beans. We asked for ranch dressing... never received any. We asked for our soupy salad to be removed and to reorder... he never asked what we would rather have but took it upon himself to remake the same slop. However , this time the shell was burned from deep frying. Needless to say I never ate dinner. Nor did the waiter return to find out how our food was. Came here on a Sunday night, and the experience was just... odd. The food was decent - some good flavors, quality about average. When we came in as a family of 4, though, we were sat in a booth they we could literally barely fit in. I'm not a small person, but not huge either, but could barely squeeze between the table and bench. My 15 year old daughter had a hard time fitting as well, so it's not just my diet! The table was also short in the other dimension, and we barely had room to use our silverware. Speaking of silverware, we only had two sets for 4 people. Pointed this out and they brought one more, so we then had 3 sets for 4 people. My wife just got up and got some napkins for our daughter from another table. The restaurant was about half empty, so I don't know why we were sat here. Just a surreal and puzzling experience. We ordered a taco salad, two nacho appetizers, and some tacos and drinks. The drinks came out fast, as did the taco salad, but then there was a roughly 20 minute wait before anyone else got their food at our table. My tacos were pretty fancy, so I can see them taking longer, but my kids just had nacho appetizers? No idea why they took so long or why they brought the taco salad so early. The place was not cheap. Not crazy expensive, but far too much given how oddly run the place is. Doubt we will come back even though we did enjoy the food. read more

This is my go-to Mexican restaurant on the Eastside. They have a family restaurant side and a cantina side (aka bar area) which is great to separate those who don't want to eat with kids and/or watch sports. I have kids so I understand the value of both. They offer free chips and salsa with your food which is nice. The service is also consistently great wherever you sit. I usually order the combo meal, but based on the recommendation of the bartender I ordered the Pollo con cream Portugeusa which was amazing. read more

The chile relleno here is loaded in a nice egg situation. It was almost an omelette. Very good. I had pork in my crunchy taco which was tender and delicious. Covered in lettuce and a handful of cheese. Generous rice and beans made for a meal. Super friendly service and great vibes. Definitely a traditional Mexican style restaurant. Let's start with Good, The Food. The reason we keep coming back even though every time we told ourselves that the way they treat you sometimes with the careless attitude. It tastes great. Now service and attention to detail isn't something I can brag about! It all started couple years back when we got a virgin mojito with an alcohol in it for my pregnant wife even then it was reminded at least 3 times to our server who happens to also be the least caring person I have ever met who still happens to be there, who also confirmed to us that there wasn't any alcohol but that wasn't the case which was confirm from my own taste buds as well as the bartender who made the drink. We still kept coming back because we love the food. But every single time when I order something there is stuff always missing like you order salsa , there is no salsa, you order guacamole then there is no chips, Also when did you guys cut down the amount of food you put by half? I got carne asada today and legit got a tiny slice where it used to be double. Price is the same though! Like I got 2 entrees today as Togo there was no utensils and when I asked to have some I got only 1 set like guys commons sense or do you expect us to share utensils ?? I know restaurants go through rough time but this place actually earned my first official sub par review in this platform ever. We went there on a busy Saturday evening around 6pm. The wait as we're informed about was 30 minutes. They called us in 15 minutes. It was super busy. We got a table and had to wait for 20 minutes to order our food. But the good thing is there was complementary salsa and chips. That was amazing!! After we ordered the food arrived at the table pretty quick. I ordered a small combo of enchilada and a taco . It did did not look small. The quantity was like a large amount. The enchilada was really good. I ordered the veggie option with spinach. Also, pinacolada without alcohol was amazing. The ambiance was good. Friendly staff and service was good. I was trying to find a local Mexican restaurant to watch the USA vs Mexico concacaf game but the place across the street had the news on... So I came here and I'm glad I did.
