    Where restaurant was originated from
    Jonnita W.

This experience was definitely a original, mom and Pop restaurant style visit. A lot of history of possibly were the restaurant concept originated from. As there are some photos of locations in another country where the restaurant is located. I also got the feeling that the original owners of this particular location still show up and our hands on at this restaurant enjoying many of the handmade items available for example, their salsa and their tortillas as I was watching one of the hostesses prepare the salsa my hand. Had a great spicy cake to it as well so if you like spice in your salsa, this was a good place to get it from and if you like homemade tortillas again, this is a great place to get them from and enjoy the Matt. We dined in here as soon as they opened so we were the only guest for probably about the first 30 up to 45 minutes. As we were sitting here eating, I did take a note that some of their visitors have been dining here for many of years. Which is something great to see they have a decent size menu which allows for breakfast lunch and dinner. The location I would say holds may be about 70 people maybe a little bit less give or take by 10. I did notice one television at the location that had sports viewing of soccer. The parking here is more of side curb street parking so just something to be aware of depending on what time of day you go if it's gonna be easier to find parking. Overall, the service, and the food we're good and fulfilling.

    Beef taco!!

The atmosphere is historic, but you see the food getting cooked, smelling the deliciousness, with quick and happy service. And the food is bomb.

I had a great time at this Mexican cafe / hole on the wall style restaurant. I called ahead on New Years Day to ask if they served chilaquiles all day and they let me know that they did and would be waiting for me! With a welcoming message like that, how could I not go? They greeted my friend and I and seated us right away. The chips were nice and crispy and they even gave me a bag to take home which I made more chilaquiles with! Wonderful flavors in the the chilaquiles they served, as well as in the side of beef I asked for. They gave us a complimentary gravy and cheese with our chips and noticed they did this to other tables as well. I wonder if this was due to it being New Year's Day! The restaurant has a very homey feel and you can see the inside of the kitchen as you head to the restrooms in back which gives it a bit of a home feel environment. I definitely felt hosted. I very much appreciated the experience and would love to go back! Reasonable prices too!

Menudo o Pozole no lo sé .?

This was honestly one of the worst menudos I've ever had. I couldn't even tell if it was supposed to be pozole or menudo -- it was filled with corn and was extremely salty. This was my first and definitely my last time coming here. My family also ordered tamales and enchiladas. The tamales were just plain masa with almost no meat at all. Very disappointing overall to bad is not -5 stars.

Updated menu pictures. I ordered on the phone and was surprised when I went in, my lunch plate was close to $20.

Mediocre taste and higher priced that Mexican restaurants in the area. Sticking to my go to, Maria's Cafe.

    $23 all beef combo
    Albert L.

Order all beef combination, man states, beef, taco, beef, enchilada, chili, Reno chili, Colorado chili Verde beans, rice and green salad for $23. I received beans, rice, enchilada, and taco and wilted lettuce. Called back to ask about my order and got the runaround. When I pick my food up, the restaurants smell like they use the same mop in the bathroom as a kitchen.

    Lunch chicken taco

I grabbed a lunch, chicken taco with rice and beans. The taco was very crispy. The chicken was flavorful. I was highly impressed! I ordered over the phone for pick up. The staff was friendly once I got there.

Came here from out of town and was looking for a place to pick up some enchiladas and a burrito. The beans were dry and the cheese in the enchiladas was not melted enough. The horchata was good and the homemade flour tortillas were not bad. The place is small inside and didn't look that orderly, however, there was this one young lady that was totally nice and helpful. Kudos to her for her outstanding service.

The maximum occupancy is 49 people, but it felt roomier inside than that. The decor is okay and the place seemed clean overall. Service - Service was pretty good. Our server was very friendly, and service wasn't bad. The only blemish was she did not check in on refills very frequently. I managed to get one, but my wife did not. By the time she asked again, we had finished our meal and were ready to go. A pretty small blemish, and not a dealbreaker for us. Food - The food was outstanding. My wife got the fajitas and they looked great! She loved them. I got the alambres and they were fantastic. Add in the homemade tortillas (both flour and corn) and it's an easy five stars! Their rice, beans, and salsa were all good too. No complaints at all with the food. Overall, I'd definitely come back again. The food was great, the people were super friendly and welcoming, and we were able to get a table right away. It's very close to the freeway, so when coming from out of town it's an easy on/off too. We came here on a whim last weekend, and OMG, I'm so glad we did. The restaurant is small and not in the greatest location, but the food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I can't wait to go back! The tortilla chips are a mix of corn and flour, which was a nice surprise. Literally everything we ordered was so good! I went with the build-your-own combo plate and chose a cheese enchilada, beef taco, and beef flautas. My entire plate was delicious, including the rice and beans. The homemade tortillas were so fresh and tasty. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their food. We split the three-piece quesabirria tacos, and they were excellent. I chose the gravy cheese enchilada for my combo plate, but I also tried my partner's green chili chicken enchilada--both were great. You can choose between red, green, or gravy sauce for the enchiladas, and I definitely want to try the red next time. Don't be turned off by the unassuming storefront and corner location. This place is serving up some seriously delicious food, and it's absolutely worth the visit!

Every time we have been here there has been so sort of issue. It's like they just add random charges and sneak extra money out of customers getting food to go without even letting one know of the extra charges.
