My wife and I purchased an electric LG Range from Lowe's in Gaithersburg in February 2018. We also purchased the 5 year warranty at that time. Lowe's contracted with XPO Logistics to do the install. XPO failed to properly install the range with the housing ring connected (that keeps wires from wearing against the sharp metal frame). Fast forward to about a month ago (now November 2019). Our oven twice on consecutive days tripped the breaker with a loud bang. The second time we also saw a fire ball flash up the back of the wall into our microwave. We left the oven off after that. We had a certified electrician come in to assess what the problem was and he looked at the plug, wires and terminal block all of which had significant burn marks. He said we could've easily had an electrical fire. You would think Lowe's would want to rectify this situation rather quickly, especially since we purchased the 5 Year warranty with our new range. BUT they passed the buck to their installers (XPO), in turn they tried to blame LG for faulty product, and all the time we were on the hook for contacting all parties. Oh! And lest I fail to mention that EVERY time we called (even the same companies) we had to start from scratch telling the stories and at times sending the pics that the electrician sent. Eventually they gave us the name of the provider company SIS VA, Inc. Major Appliance Services, who sent out someone from the company who also did an assessment. He told me they would evaluate and let me know within 48 hours if they would repair or replace the unit. We heard nothing back. We called to find out what the verdict was and they said it the claim had been denied due to "physical damage"(??). Meanwhile we wanted a working stove/range again because Thanksgiving was upon us. May I say with the exception of one or two customer service reps who were pleasant but did not move the needle one iota, the MAJORITY were not only rude but extremely so. This has been (& continues to be) a very trying situation with no resolution other for us to call in another electrician to fix the problem and come out of our own pocket once again! So far we have eaten out on numerous occasions, purchased an electric skillet, we paid for an initial electrician assessment at $125, 2nd electrician has ball parked the parts and labor at $250, hours and hours on the phone with 4 different companies, and not having a working appliance on a major holiday. Update: The company supposedly wants to address this but if I don't provide information I don't have and am not sitting at my computer waiting to reply to their emails within 30 minutes, they close out my ticket. RXO has sent subcontractors to my home three times and the last two times were so atrocious that Lowes had to come to my house an additional three times to correct all of their mistakes. Unfortunately, I was injured the last time RXO came out and have been in excruciating pain ever since and as long as I do not contact an attorney, RXO does not care. My second delivery of the three was on Saturday, 22 July. I received multiple calls throughout the day. No messages were ever left so I had no way of knowing this was the delivery crew. On Sunday, 23 July, I began my busiest day of laundry. Approximately halfway through my laundry, the water drain hose, which was neither zip tied to the nearest water line nor did it have an elbow installed, came flying out of the wall and soaked my floor so much that it took me four hours to clean it. Delivery #3 was on 08/04/2023. When they got the washer inside, it wobbled like a teeter totter and they didn't want to level it. They wanted to set the dryer on top of the washer and not secure it. There were several vital pieces that were referenced in the video that were discarded. They didn't run a test cycle on either to make sure they worked. According to the manual, there are several things that should have been done before I attempted to wash a load of laundry. When the washer began to sound like a freight train coming through my house I got up to see what was going on and just barely had time to catch the dryer as it fell off the washer. It fell on me and I had to push it back up onto the washer. I ended up having to hold it up through two very rough spin cycles where the washer moved all over my laundry room and my hallway, three inches in every direction. As a result of all of this, I hurt my back and neck. I guess I should have let it fall, break, and cause massive destruction to my house because those results would have been taken seriously. My son ordered a futon from Ikea and XPO logistics was supposed to deliver to my son's apartment on Fri, 19FEB21. Their hour range was 9am to 9pm. My son called them and he was advised that they were not going to deliver...due to weather. Instead, they said that they will deliver on Sunday. Again, my son was text by xpo, and he was advised that his futon is scheduled now for wed, 24FEB21. The xpo agent advised my son that he will have to call Ikea to change the schedule. In short, with their track record so far, I am not confident that it will be delivered this Wed. Two points...my son telecommutes all day so my wife and I waited in his apartment. He is staying with us until xpo finally delivers the package. Not happy at all. Their integrity is out the window. read more

XPO did a wonderful job delivering and installing my new dishwasher and hauling away the old one. They gave me advance notice of my delivery dates and delivered on the first day in the range. They emailed me to let me know that they would call me 30 minutes before arrival and they did so. The delivery men were extremely courteous and wore shoe coverings without me having to remind them. They carefully removed the old dishwasher, and carefully installed the new dishwasher and checked to make sure they did it right. Lastly, they asked me if I had any questions and made sure I had all of the owner manuals. It was the most smooth delivery, installation, and haul-away! I really appreciate the great service! Delivery service communications pre-delivery and delivery were excellent. I received a call confirming our purchase and delivery address, was called and texted info about delivery timeframe. In the scheduled delivery day, I received a call from the delivery service person that they were departing warehouse and would arrive in 30 minutes. Everything went according to plan. After removing the old washer and dryer, the delivery guys gave me a few minutes to vacuum and clean the tile floor before they installed the new appliances. read more

XPO's reps were scheduled to arrive between 3 and 6 pm today, but called at 11 am to ask if they could instead deliver my package, a new bathtub, in about an hour. I was glad they could bring it early. As agreed, the reps arrived in about an hour and were very polite. The cardboard box housing the tub was a little damp on bottom, but not so much that there was risk of it collapsing, and the rest of the box was in good condition. The tub itself was in perfect shape. Excellent service and I loved having the tub delivered early. read more

Excellent communication from selection to delivery. The mattress itself, is outstanding and more than I expected from an extra firm mattress. I laid on it just to see how it feels and I fell asleep for an hour. I never nap during the day; nough said. It's very firm but forgiving. Excellent and durable mattress. The XPO crew delivering our new washer and dryer, and removing the old appliances, was courteous, efficient and skilled at their work. All the right tools were at hand, and I don't think a single wall was bumped as they navigated two 90 degree turns to get in and out of the laundry room. I just had a recliner delivered from Amazon. The delivery guys were very good. They let me know about 30 minutes before they arrived. They brought my recliner up and put The back on which was a little difficult, but the reviews on the recliner said it could be you need 2 people. They were awesome! I was extremely impressed by their Professionalism, courtesy and effectiveness not to mention their driving skill getting into and out of my driveway. They did a great job keeping me informed before, during and after scheduled delivery of my washing machine. There was a leak when installed. Delivery went great and our house is not the easiest to get into. The got the old refrigerator to the basement and removed the one there. Our new refrigerator looks great in the kitchen. The guys who made the delivery were very polite, friendly and did a great job. read more
