I tried going to this place twice now. The first time they didn't remove my skid plate and took the oil filter out which collected like a pool inside of it and cause oil to splash EVERYWHERE as soon as I drove off. I politely told the employee about the situation and how it's not cool and then I declined them cleaning it up as I didn't want them to touch my car again. THEN my girlfriend needed an oil change and they never put the skid plate screws BACK on her car which later resulted in the skid plate coming off on the freeway and bending backwards and leaving her stranded while I was at work. I've heard other bad reviews and ignored them, I regret doing so. Never going back to this place. Respectfully. Value is alright if you're willing to risk a possible half done job. read more

I have never had such a quick oil change experience. I think I was in and out in about 10 minutes. The price was a little bit cheaper than when I take it to the deal and the whole experience was very convenient as I was able to come in without an appointment and stay in my car the whole time. This made my busy day less stressful and they even alerted me to some issues with my rear tires which was helpful since my tire pressure sensors on my car are broken. I used to love this location before the business changed. I needed an oil change in a hurry and this was the closest place I was familiar with. They have a checklist of things they complete during the service and they lie about what was done and what supposedly declined. Part of paying the price they charge is for SERVICE! My receipt claims I don't have a dipstick which is in my car, they probably did that as to not bother showing me my oil. They didn't show me my air filter, they didn't check my windshield wipers nor did they offer the windshield cleaning service but my receipt shows all of that. I told them my mileage clear and concisely by saying every digit separately and he still got it wrong. Employees conversation about traveling and REAL ID seemed more important. Lastly, part of the service offered is checking lights. My receipt claims i declined yet I wasn't offered the service. read more

I took my Mazda RX7 in last week to check oil fluid levels. The person checking under the hood left a 16" SnapOn pry bar under the hood, evidently when he closed it down. That pry bar wedged itself behind the pop head headlight when the lights were turned on and got jammed in and it did not allow the light to flip back down and is draining the battery. It took over three hours to get this steel pry bar removed. Unfortunately, the headlight pop has sustained damage now, from this damage caused at Oil Changers and the headlight is currently stuck up, not rotating back down. The battery is continuing to drain because the light is stuck up. This is the second time in one year that I have had bad results at this Oil Changer shop on Telephone Road. That's why I'm so disappointed and frustrated by what happened during my most recent visit. After what was supposed to be a routine oil change, a technician abruptly told me I needed to take my car immediately across the parking lot to Hays Automotive. He showed me a video that allegedly showed a cracked oil pan with oil leaking from the drain plug and told me not to drive it anywhere else. When I asked how much oil was in the car before the change, the tech shrugged and admitted he hadn't even checked. The whole thing felt off. I had no issues with oil leaks before this visit, and being casually told "we send all our customers there when there's issues" only raised more red flags. I decided to take my car home and have it inspected by a mechanic I trust. The next morning, I woke up to a large pool of oil under my car. I had it towed to Top Shop, where they confirmed the oil pan was severely cracked--with photo evidence--and they kept the car until it was repaired on June 2. When I called the Ventura location on June 2, I was told a regional manager would contact me. I got a call the next day from someone named Eric, who was shockingly dismissive and unprofessional. He claimed the damage wasn't their fault, yet offered to refund the $41.12 for the oil change (a refund I still haven't received). He also admitted their techs shouldn't have worked on the car if they had noticed a crack--implying the damage occurred during the service. To make matters worse, the receipt falsely claims I declined several services (cabin filter, light check, windshield wash, etc.) that were never even offered. After digging through other Yelp reviews, I found multiple similar complaints about this company. This doesn't seem like an isolated incident. The repair for the oil pan cost me $926.02 and I have since contacted their customer service who returned my calls days later after multiple voicemails and provided me with an email to begin a claim. After sending my case to them June 5th I have still received no response and have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Bottom line: I expected much better from a place I've trusted for years. Instead, I got poor service, questionable practices, and a broken car. I'll never return--and I'd strongly advise others not to either. read more

Went this morning to get my oil changed. While there, they showed me the transmission oil and it also needed to be changed. I thought this had been done when I took it last year for a Tune Up. Juan, checked Carmax for me to see if anything came up. It didn't. I learned so much in my 15-20 minutes that I was there. First, ALL of the service you have done to your car will show up in Carmax. I had no idea about this. How cool is that?!? I also learned that I need to pay attention to what services I'm getting done and paying for. I need to find my receipt from where I got my Tune Up last year as I could have sworn they were supposed to change the transmission oil (but again, I need to find my paperwork). At any rate, thank you to Juan who showed me how dirty the transmission oil was. I now know I need to change it at least every 50k miles, which begs the question why the dealership didn't do this or offer this in all of the times I took my car in for oil changes and scheduled services. ‍ I will be going back for any and all future oil changes. read more

What a great place I discovered today. Just drive up no appointment needed, and I got to stay in the car. Total of about 10 to 15 minutes. They offer full synthetic oil if you want it plus they checked my tire pressures and even washed my windshield. Plus the guys were really nice skies. I have been here one time and the bolts were stripped from my oil pan and I refuse to go back. My sister and friend went here for oil changes and it cost them thousands of dollars. Before getting their cars serviced by Oil Changers, their cars were working fine. After, the technicians specifically told my sister she should 'probably head across the street to their trusted mechanic'. An incredibly concerning thing to hear from someone who just worked on your car when there were no prior issues. Additionally, their customer service rep was incredibly rude and condescending. There was much follow-up, emails, attempts to reach a support team and all to no avail. No one had any meaningful responses to the issue. They promised a full refund (but no refund for the cost of the parts that were broken by their team) just for the oil change. She never received that refund. Their rep on Yelp, Kelly M-Business Manager- only responds on yelp to save face but does not follow through on anything but empty apologies as is sure to follow this email. Our friends and family will not be coming here again. Ruining a car can be the difference between getting kids to school, making it to work, or receiving emergency care. It can ruin someone's life to not have a reliable form of transportation. Any form of real customer service to remedy their wrong doing would have changed how these experiences were internalized. After Sunday brunch my husband & I decided to get the car serviced because we didn't have time during the week like we had planned. You can just pull in & stay in your car while it gets serviced! I haven't driven my Toyota much during the pandemic because I transitioned from working in local government, back to working for myself as a full time caterer. When I'd go shopping for supplies, I'd typically drive my big car & so my hubby would drive this little car. Since, he has a huge job that keeps him busy, he'd forget to do the regular services in a timely manner. The last time this car had an oil change was last year, maybe 7-9 month ms ago & it has been 5-6 yrs since I had a transmission flush & top off. I used to go to a chain business for these kinds of services, but I have been screwed over again & again just because I'm a woman. What a lot of these businesses didn't know is I had previously worked in the luxury car business as a warranty rep & I know a little more than the average woman, about cars. Juan at Oil Changers did a great job. He was kind, courteous, patient & thorough. He recommended that I get my transmission fuel taken care of. He showed me that the fluid, that's normally a bright, hot pink color, was almost black! That's a big NO-NO! I told him to go & take care of that along with the oil change. He also saw that my right headlight was out, so he said he'd check to see if they had a bulb in stock, & they did. He said he'd replace for free, which I appreciated. I'm a very busy person, so his patience & kindness meant a lot to me. He also mentioned that between oil changes, I could always drop by & they'd top off my oil, up to 2 quarts, FOR FREE!!! What an incredible deal! Now that I've had such an amazing experience, I will ONLY come here! This company is unresponsive to customers, which is extremely disrespectful. My only complaint is that there was a line and I waited 10-15 minutes before the service started. But I'm the plus side: they checked my tire pressure and topped my tires off while I waited and cleaned my windshield. Also, they filled up my coolant! They did a great job of changing the oil in my car and doing it quickly ( you sit in your car while they do this) but be advised it is JUST an oil change hence the name! Nothing else is diagnosed or checked. I am used to taking my car for full maintenance elsewhere so this was a stretch for me. I don't think I will be going back. I was disappointed because the oil light was still on even after it getting changed, the guys showed me how to reset it but then my 'maintenance due' light came on. I am now taking my car elsewhere to have it double checked. For future I would rather have everything diagnosed at one time. If you need a quick oil change, just like the name says this is for you. If you need more than that, go elsewhere. All in all, friendly service and a good spot if you are in a hurry. read more

I visited Oil Changers in Ventura the first time today, 8/14/2023, after getting my tires rotated at America's Tires next door. I was surprised that you don't even get out of your car, which is super convenient. I waited for one other vehicle no more than five minutes, then pulled my car up. They got my ID information and signed me up the computer in less than two minutes while the guys drained my oil and replaced it with synthetic oil. They also checked my filters, which were OK, but it was cool that they did this. Since they're recommending oil change every 5,000 miles, I'll be going back more frequently. I drove 5.5 miles away from the location to where i immediately pulled over because loss of oil pressure/ oil light. I never thought I'd be the type of person to have a favorite lube service center but yet here I am; 29, thriving and singing Xpress' praises. I had found Xpress looking for a really quick place to run to at lunch time for a smog check for Ravioli (my cute lil RAV4) and soon realized, "I don't think she's ever had a decent lube service." I found a great deal on Groupon, hopped in Ravioli, and we went on our way. First I did the smog check- figured if it runs late, at least I got the smog check done, I can always redeem that Groupon deal later. I pulled in, got the intake done, he hooked it up to the machine (I'd recommend asking customers if they'd like to stay in the car or step out for the reader part, I felt a lil uncomfy just because I hadn't shaved my ankles. But I can also just be an anxious weirdo sometimes, this is by NO fault the employee's doing, he was great!) From beginning to end it took like...7 minutes? Ravioli passed~ The tech performing the smog check mentioned that payment would have to be processed separately due to the businesses being separate, so if there's a separate page please let me know! Once the tech had wrapped up, I simply reversed and pulled into a different garage to get the tune up under way. The team worked quickly, professionally and politely. About 15 minutes later, all of the advertised services had been completed, I was handed a full breakdown of the work completed, and suggestions for additional work that couldn't be done on site. I have gone here the last two times of getting my oil changed. I thought it was good until I went to my mechanic, Radical Autosports, and had him change my brakes. I told him to change my oil while my car was there. He showed me my air filter and said it has not been changed in years. Well that would have been a nice thing to know. I need someone who will change the oil and check my fluids and air filters at the same time. I took the old air filter back to xpress lube to show them. they were not interested and could care less about my car. I asked them if they check that stuff. He assured me they do. That was a lie. My elderly father drove up by the entrance the map took us and rolled down the window to ask if this is where we go and they said " no go around can't you read the goddamn sign".
