They lost a star when they took away the free dryer use, they lose another star because half the big machines are unusable/out of order, they lose another star because the attendants are absolutely useless. I live right up the road and first time using Xpress Wash. I had the most wonderful experience. The woman working helped me load my card and start my washer/dryer. The place is extremely clean and occupants are very friendly. I used two of the XL washers for all of my bedding and very large bin of laundry and it did a great job. I don't see any current reviews on this but as of Dec. 2022 you have to purchase a $5 wash card and add additional money to it in order to use any of the machines. This is not what I was expecting and I feel that's something they need to make you aware of with bc plenty of bold signs at the entrance. I came here today with right under five dollars on my card. Added $20 to it. I put my clothes in three machines which charge $7.15 per machine... One of the machines did not work, and the lady that's working here (extremely rude and unprofessional) told me that it did not take my money. It absolutely did take my money because now I only have over two dollars on my card. She would NOT give me the name or number for a manager, and she would not even give me HER NAME! This place will steal your money, call you a liar, and then roll their eyes at you!!! I am not trying to get anything free or take their money. But I'm getting mine back! I called the police and I'm waiting on them now to report her for theft of service. HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!! I just moved into an apartment that doesn't have a washer/dryer on-site, but luckily this laundromat was just around the corner. I'd never been to a laundromat before, so honestly I was a little intimidated, but this place was wonderful. I showed up on a Saturday afternoon expecting it to be packed but, while there were a few customers, there were plenty of empty washers and dryers. You can buy a reusable money card from a machine for $2.00, and then add money to it. The money card machines have detailed instructions on how this all works and it was super easy to add money using my debit card, though you can add money to your card using cash too. There are machines capable of handling different sized loads, and they range in price from 1.99-6.49. I used three of the "giant load washers" for 5.39 each to wash two weeks' worth of laundry, including bedding and towels. Washing everything took 30 minutes. They have handy carts available to transport your wet clothes to the dryers on the back wall, which are FREE. Just swipe your reusable money card and you're good to go. Drying took another 30 minutes using four different dryers, then I used their carts to transport the dried clothes to one of their large tables for folding. I was in and out in less than 90 minutes, and spent about $16 for two weeks of laundry. There was an attendant present the entire time constantly mopping the floor, wiping down carts, and machines, and folding tables, and helping customers. This place was a dream. read more

So yea. I don't know why this has such low reviews The machines are old, yes, but they work rather well. It's a standard lavanderia/laundrymat. The owner and employees mostly speak Spanish, so if you need help you're either going to need to know some Spanish, ask for help, or be a really good nonverbal communicator. I've come at peak hours on the weekends, and late at night (right around the cut off time). I've always been treated with respect and understanding. I think some of the people who have left poor reviews might not be as respectful and polite as they think themselves to be and that's why they didn't receive the service they get they deserved. read more

Had to do some laundry when I noticed our washer/dryer wasn't working. I came to Xpress Wash & Dry and I'm impressed! Everyone is really friendly as I look so confused coming in and not knowing how to get a card. The washing seems expensive, but that might be the cost of doing laundry out here. This is your best bet for a laundromat in east dallas. It's spotless and attendants are here to help you. The machines are fantastic. A regular cycle takes 30 minutes. Some people have complained that you have to buy a $5 card but it's a lot easier than making sure you have quarters. I go to this place when I have a large load of heavy items e.g. rugs, towels, etc. One has to purchase a reusable payment card, just like a 'chipped' credit card, to run the washing machines. You pay $2.00 for the card, plus whatever amount you want to load the card with. (The sign says that your $2.00 will be refunded when the undamaged card is returned.) The largest washers, the ones that I use, are $4 per load. These washers (I don't know about the others) display how much time is left until the wash cycle is complete! All dryers are FREE, but you have to have payment card with a positive balance ($0.05?) to start them. The place is clean, pleasant and continuously attended. read more

I hate laundry but, this place makes it somewhat bearable. Well, as long as you go during the weekday afternoons and NEVER and I mean NEVER around dinnertime or on the weekends, seriously, don't even consider it unless you like doing laundry in a daycare and ridiculously loud club music pumping from the horrid little jukebox. We made the mistake of trying to get some homework done while the laundry was going on a Sunday night... and on weekday night... In all seriousness though, if you go when I tell you to, this place is fantastic. AND it's still fine if you have no other time options, etc. It's just really really loud and over run with kids and people eating Little Caesars on the laundry tables. It is VERY clean, in fact there is always staff on hand sweeping up, wiping folding tables down. The bathroom is kept nice and clean. AMAZING washing machines, most if not all are Electrolux brand and all front loaders. You dry for free here and the dryers are VERY efficient, I mean VERY. I use the double or triple loads washers and the entire load goes into one dryer and will usually be done in 25min. You can be in and out of here in about an hour and 10min. Everything is done with a loaded money card. The initial investment is $2 or 3.00 for the card. If you put $10, you get $10.50, you put $20, you get $21... so really after awhile I suppose the card is free. No refunds if you lose it, so don't lose it. I have seen some pretty ridiculous things in my life, but nothing quite as ridiculous as what I experienced here today. The workers here combined probably don't have 50 IQ points between them. I was sitting in a chair waiting for my laundry to dry when I was informed that I actually couldn't sit down. That's right. Sitting down in this building is prohibited. It gets even more insane. I pointed out that there was a guy just two feet away from me who was also sitting down. Well, apparently, that was okay, because, get this. He wasn't sitting in a chair. He was sitting on some random metal thing. Sitting in actual chairs is what's not allowed. Why, you might ask? Apparently, the city of Dallas told them they can't allow people to sit in chairs. That's what they think the city of Dallas told them. That butts in chairs is the cause of COVID. I asked, just to be clear, whether I could stand in the exact same place I was sitting. They said yes. I asked if I could sit on the floor in the place I was sitting. Yep. The only thing I couldn't do? Sit in a chair. That's not allowed. The city of Dallas has expressly forbidden it. Lord have mercy... they probably don't clean anything around here either, because they think they're safe as long as no one sits down in a chair. ‍‍‍ Come in at your own risk. Spent $20 on one load of laundry due to ridiculous "card system." Clean, but this business has a very frustrating "card system" for payment (you have to load a card with credits to use for your wash). One card costs $2, so you put in a $5 and only have $3 worth of credits. Bottom line, I spent $20 on one load of laundry trying to obtain enough cards. I'm an idiot I guess for not being able to figure out the system, but I've been traveling the country for a month and half, done laundry in 30 states, and never had anything this complicated. This place is great! My washer is broken so I have been to a few in the area and this one is clean and reasonably priced considering they have free dryers. Many places with free dyers hike up the price of washing. The machines are nice and in great working Condition and they have a nice facility that is equipped with well maintained carts and folding tables! read more

The lady that was working there was so unbelievably rude, she was talking to the other customers in Spanish and saying rude things about me and didn't think I could understand. She literally mopped me into a corner of the laundromat, she let me know that I was not allowed to walk where she had already mopped. She was hovering around me and making me very uncomfortable. I think she was mainly irritated because it was 8:35pm when I got there, apparently they close at 9:45pm and apparently she was already ready to leave. I didn't realize the place closed at 9:45pm (I guess due to covid-19), because all the signs on the windows said 11:00PM (so they need to change their signs, or if its temporary at least put up a paper sign letting people know). I didn't find out that they closed at 9:45pm until I got home and looked it up online. I rushed and got out of there as fast as I could because of how uncomfortable I was. It was around 10:15pm when I left and there was still a man in there doing his laundry that she was talking and laughing with, so I guess it was ok for him to be there.. but not me. Sometimes I think people don't want your business, the attendant lady needs to let someone else work there that actually appreciates having the job and likes people, because I'm actually a really nice person and didn't deserve to be treated so poorly. Have been using this laundromat for over a year. Used today, 12/27/13 and after folding laundry, left a rug behind drying in a dryer. Returned no more than 30 minutes later and the rug was gone!! Of course, no one had seen anything. I will NEVER trust anything at this laundromat. This was a rug given to me by my grandmother before she passed, only sentimental value.
