Over a year and a half ago, we installed our garage door opener with another company who shall not be named. They did a half-assed job on securing the rail into the ceiling. Needless to say, the support and railing soon fell. We share our garage with an elderly neighbor. Thankfully she wasn't in there when it happened. I called the original garage door company and they said they would fix it for $1200! I ended up getting other quotes through Yelp and found Xtra Care. I did get another quote from someone else the day before Aviran came. This other company quoted me $865. Then he said his contractor was in town so they would charge me $565 instead. I politely said I have two other quotes I'm still waiting for and I would give him a call back if I decide to go with his company. The dude was pushy and said he guarantees the other quotes won't be as low as $565. He even went as far as to say that maybe it's because of his race or accent that I'm saying no. I was deeply offended by that, but still kept my cool and stood my ground. I explained to him that I made the mistake of taking the first quote to install the garage door opener in the first place and now I have to spend more money to fix something that should've been installed properly from the beginning. I wasn't going to make that same mistake again. This guy even said for me to call the other company that was scheduled to quote me and I thankfully happened to call Aviran. Aviran was gracious enough to take my call and I asked him what his price was going to be. He said $150-$200. The other guy scoffed and said Aviran wasn't going to do a great job for that price. I never noticed that the hardware was bent and the original guy who installed the garage door opener never told us. I wish I would've taken a picture, but once Aviran was finished with the job, he hung on the railing and did a pull up to show how sturdy and secure it was. He was also able to replace the hardware the following Monday. Now the door is moving smoother than ever and doesn't rock from side to side when opening or closing.
