The team at Xtraordinary Carpet Care are personable, professional, and prompt! I called to make an appointment and expected to have to wait a week or two, but they scheduled me within a few days. They did all the moving of furniture and such to get to the parts of the carpet that were damaged (bumny chews, before we were able to completely bunny-proof) and that was another pleasant surprise. Today was my first experience with Xtraordinary carpet care and I'm thrilled with the service I received. Tony called before arriving as he said he would, arrived well within the allotted time window and did a great job. I had a very large yellow stain on my carpet along with a couple of small dark ones yet he was able to get my carpet looking great. I've used Xtraordinary Carpet Care several times since I moved to Temecula in 2003. In fact, I started using them because I knew they were a family business and I lived in their neighborhood. My first experiences were great, my carpets were always cleaned well, and I told my friends about them. However, I think they are getting a little "too big" now, and their customer service is lacking. I tried to use them in December for carpet cleaning, and I was unable to schedule a time that would work for both of us. Most recently, I tried to schedule a tile/grout estimate and I was told that if I had other companies coming out to give me an estimate, then I would be fine going with them. I was speechless!. Essentially, they did not want to come over unless I was going to have them do the job right on the spot! I have never had my tile cleaned and wanted to learn a little more about it and its pricing, first. This lack of customer service and arrogant attitude that they don't need my business means they've now lost a customer for good!! read more

Bait and switch, Had a coupon for 129.95 entire home cleaned up to 2200 sq ft, all I had was under 2200 sq ft of carpet, but when he got there, said it was gonna be $350.00 with coupon, and continued to to tell me, that it was for a 2200 sq ft house not amount of carpet, so coupon is false advertising, also very rude and no customer service skills. Didnt even try to make to make a deal. Was already calling next customer before even working with me, No respect what so ever. I had Xtraordinary Carpet Care come to my house as I've done for the last ten years, they do excellent work. Anyway ,I had them out Nov.1, I was running late so I gave them the code for my home. When I arrived they were packing up and I received my bill and went through the roof. For the last 10 years they've cleaned my 2,100' home for $159(coupon), since then I have replaced all the carpet with wood downstairs. So they cleaned the stairs, 10' hallway, loft(12'X12') and a small room 10'X10' and charged me $175. I asked him to explain and he couldn't but asked me what I thought was fair. I told him 10 years and you pull this, I paid him his money and told him he'd never do my rugs again or my friends. So much for customer loyalty. read more

Okay, so Tony came out to my home today. It looks great but the carpet is not dry yet. He said it could take up to 12 hours because it had to be rinsed so many times. I think this is because the guy he sent out last time did a very bad job...left the carpet so wet when he left... I don't think he rinsed the carpet well at that time. I will update this again tomorrow evening. But now I have a different problem. When Tony arrived he had his vehicle in the driveway.... which is a 15k driveway with pavers. I told him he should not have it in the driveway but he said his vehicle did not leak....well it does! Pavers absorb grease and oil.. no one ever parks in our driveway. I told him if there is a grease mark or oil mark when he leaves he is responsible for cleaning it up. I took a picture and texted it to him. I talked to him on the phone and he said it was there when he arrived. This is not true. I tried to clean it immediately with Simple Green...scrub it... still there. Tony came back while we were gone and called and said there was no mark. We returned home and there it is. I WANT TO BELIEVE THAT TONY WILL DO THE RIGHT THING AND CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Some days don't go well but that should not become my problem. Needless to say my husband is very upset with me because I didn't make him move the truck to begin with. As I said I would update my experience. My carpet is perfect. The wool area rugs that are 20 years old look great! I'm conflicted about my situation because my carpet looks so beautiful...just like it was when it was new 4 years ago. The grease mark and / or oil marks are still there. I called Tony today and it doesn't sound like he is going to correct the problem without me going to great lengths. I could dispute the charge on my credit card. File a report with HomeAdvisors... I really don't want to do anything of those things. I like Tony. I believe he is a good man. I want to believe that he will correct the problem. And I don't believe in the Easter Bunny....Santa Claus.... the good tooth fairy but I do believe in good people. I will give this some time to see if there is a change in my situation. read more

They came on time. I had to leave shortly after they arrived but my husband was still there. I asked before I left if I could write the check before I left and Tony said he would have to measure at the end and then give me a price. (I didn't like that business approach). I had a 45% off coupon so I thought it couldn't be that much. When I arrived home they were just leaving and my husband had paid them. (the tile did look cleaner) When I saw the receipt I couldn't believe the 45% off price was $453! I have approx 1200sf of tile and two guys were here for 2 1/2 hrs total. That would be $800 regular price. REALLY? We are clean people and there were no extra stains or anything that required anything more than basic cleaning.) The next kicker came when I saw the debris that was left in the driveway. They should have emptied their tanks in the huge drain next to the driveway not "on" my drive way. My husband had to sweep up their mess. Two days later, it was really bothering me so I called and spoke with Tony. He said the price is the price (basically). "Services are expensive, I should know that since I have a friend in the business". I have had them clean my carpets before and have never paid over $235 for the whole house (approx 2000sf of carpet). Same type of work, right? He never apologized or any type of customer service compassion. In fact he said, "I'm sorry you are having a bad day." I left it at that. As you can see from other comments, they always up-sell the customer and don't quote what it will actually cost until it's too late and the work is done. This post relates to a service performed some time ago, yet after hearing of someone else's recent experience, it felt appropriate to share our experience. Xtraordinary Carpet Care was hired to clean a few rooms and traffic areas in our home, while in our home we asked about cleaning our white sofa. I specifically asked about the risk of the white material turning yellow, as we had heard that could be a concern. We were told that they knew how to clean it without the color "fade". They gave us the price and we let them clean the sofa. Within 24 hours the sofa began to turn yellow, and proceeded to get worse over the next few days. We called them to complain, they returned and made a couple of attempts to re-clean the sofa, yet the sofa is yellow to this day. When we called them to ask how they would make this right, and if they would pay for the sofa to be recovered, their response was "do you really expect me to pay for the damage?" No further communication. Mistakes are understandable, yet accountability for those mistakes is a part of being a responsible business. read more

I found this company and decided to use them because of the coupon they offered for up to 2000 square feet of carpet cleaning for $125. We just purchased a new home which was 50% tile and I wanted that cleaned as well. We paid Tony over $600.00 to clean all tiled areas and at his recommendation we also purchased a pet sanitizer for the carpet. The minute we opened the door to our new home the following day we were hit with the overpowering smell of pet urine. Prior to the carpet cleaning the smell had apparently been dormant...we don't have any other explanation for it. Tony who is an expert in his field should have known the carpets would not benefit from any sort of cleaning (we had to tear out all the flooring in the home) and passed on the job. That all being said no one is perfect and we understood Tony should not shoulder the full extent of the error so I contacted him, complimented him on the fine job they'd done on the tile and asked for a $67.00 refund for the "pet sanitizer" ONLY. After I was reprimanded and told I was "ungrateful" (seriously) because he'd apparently given me $100.00 off the tile cleaning I gave up, wished Tony well and moved on. I sincerely regret using the coupon because this job ultimately cost me over $200.00 for carpets that would never benefit from any type of cleaning. Bottom line...there are many other carpet cleaning services in the Temecula/Murrieta areas and I suggest you chose one them. I've used another company for 15 years but thought I'd save myself a little cash so I went for the coupon and I sincerely regret it. read more

They were in and out in less than a half hour. Also, they wanted to charge extra money for a "restorative" cleaning which I rejected and they were kind of rude about me rejecting the extra cleaning cost. When I requested them to come back and redo it properly, the owner was very rude and did not care about customer satisfaction. I do not recommend this company. read more

I saw a coupon in a magazine and decided to take advantage. I have seen their van all over my neighborhood including my neighbor so they must be good. I was told they would be arriving between 1-3pm. I called a little after 3 and Tony had to call to find out where they were. I received a text that they were down the street. Dudes got there and then I was told our carpets would benefit for a good scrub or something that added to the cost. I agreed. The stairs were $45 but tony had quoted me $35 and dude on the phone said well... It ranges. Maybe tony should inform the customer of that. In the end the did a great job. The downfall was... I opted out of the stairs but they still charged me $45. I called tony and he made things right and refunded me. Tony is very sweet and professional... His employees I'm not so sure about. Also took a good 12 hours for the carpets to dry. But like I said they did a great job and I will be using them again. read more

Although they did a pretty good job cleaning the carpets the two star was for the sneaky prices. There was a coupon in the city ad for $124.95 for a whole house carpet cleaning and 1 the house was less the 2,000sq ft and they were only doing the stairs and small hall and three bedrooms up stairs and I still paid $141 I didn't see on the coupon that says stairs are slightly extra... $45 extra (that's not just slightly) and why is that not part of the whole house? So someone who has a less then 2,000sq ft home with no stairs gets the $125.95 price?!?! Doesn't make sense. I was not quoted the price for the stairs till they got there. So if you use them as them up front about all the charges so your not hit with anything when they get there. There were other companies I found to be cheaper but stuck with them because I had already made the appointment. I am posting this experience with Xtraordinary Carpet Care, in Temecula, CA, to foreworn anyone contemplating using this company. On Oct 29, 2013 Tony provided a phone quote to clean the carpeting on the stairs, upstairs hallway, Master bedroom (around a Cal King bed and without moving any furniture) plus the master bath and closet for $98.00. Our home is located in Tuscany Hills, Lake Elsinore. Tony arrived and completed the work that day. The carpet was extremely wet, then charged my wife $179.00. When asked why so much he said that's what it is. She asked about the $98.00 quote but he insisted on $179.00. She wrote the check. She told him he should have stated before he started that he was going to charge more. She told me about it when I got home that night. We contacted Tony the next day, and he would not live up to his quote. I said that I guess I should put a stop payment on the check. He then threatened to place a Mechanic's Lien on the property. I then asked him to be reasonable. He agreed to return the $81.00 overcharge if I didn't place the Stop Payment on the check. I agreed. He was to send me the $81.00 in a couple days. He cashed the check on 10/31/13. I contacted him after a couple of weeks and he said he thought it was taken care of. He would check with his girl! I continued to call him every couple of weeks but got the same story each time. He would check with his girl! So finally on 1/10/14, I contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. BBB Case 89043713. The BBB Sent a letter to Xtraordinary Carpet Care in Temecula initially on 1/13/14.1st Notice. No response. Again on 1/24/14. 2nd Notice. No response. A Certified letter was sent to Tony on 2/4/14. Having no response back to the BBB I received notice today, 2/12/14, that the case was closed - Unanswered.
