I'm not really a car person. I thought I was only going to keep my car for a few years so there's no need to do ceramic coating. Wrong! I wish I have done ceramic coating when I bought my car brand new to preserve the new paint. I had some minor rock chips that they were able to buff off. However, the paint fawls from 3 years of driving will stay. I did 3 years ceramic coating with PPF for the front bumper and headlights for a total of $1,628. Allen and his team did a really good job. My car is super shinny and looks brand new again. You do need to drop off your car for 2 days and pick it up on the 3rd day. The coat needs time to cure and protect from the dust. You come back in 10 days for a 30mins inspection and lesson on car washing and drying. Your car is in good hands at Xtreme Edge. Alan was the one who helped me and he actually pointed out a random dent and some imperfections in the paint even before they washed it. Picked up the car 2 days later and man it was beautiful. (They removed the handles to create a seamless look) Their paint protection film experience is top notch. As for the ceramic coating, the Opticoat Pro + was insanely glossy and clean. I have not many comments other than it completely blew me away by the look and the ease of maintenance. They add extra value by providing trunk luggage PPF protection and ALSO show how to do a maintenance wash after a week of installation. This is the update from the previous review. Last month, I stopped by this place second time to test the owner; Allen. This time, I drove in with my brand new Tesla and see what had happened. As soon as Allen saw my car, he came towards to me immediately with a big smile and welcome. He became a different person and treated me like he was such a sweet gentleman, not the Allen guy who did ignore me when I brought my 2016 Toyota Camry here the first time. Wow, the same guy but showed 2 different characteristics and ways to treat me based on the 2 different cars I drove. I am speechless!!! Regardless of the way Allen treated me badly the first time I met him, I still behaved myself and asked him about the service of paint protection he provided. He forced me to make an appointment ASAP because his availability is filled up so fast these days. Did he think will I go back? Allen. Don't judge the book by its cover. Don't underestimate people by the way they look and the cars they drive. People come to you and you are getting paid to perform your job. If this is no longer the case and the PPF does become visible over time or if the vehicle paint deteriorates/shows sun damage while in warranty, I will update my review). Pre-appointment Despite hearing great reviews of Xtreme Edge from a YouTuber I follow, I performed my own due diligence and reached out to several auto shops in the Orange County region via Yelp messages. Xtreme Edge was the first auto shop to get back to me (response was within 2 hours from initial message) and the only auto shop to provide a very detailed and informative response to my questions. The other auto shops said they would answer my questions in-person. Based on my concerns, Xtreme Edge provided me with all their options along with the associated pricing without pressuring me to lean toward a specific option, which I appreciate. I initially opted for the partial front PPF + 7 year ceramic coating. Initial Appointment: 30 minutes Upon my arrival, Allen inspected my vehicle and advised against the partial front PPF as the line would be visible across the hood. He suggested I either do just the front bumper + headlights or the full front. I opted for the front bumper + headlights. I appreciate Allen for giving his genuine opinion and not trying to upsell. Upon further consultation, I also opted on getting the PPF on the bottom trim of all 4 doors. Despite getting the additional service, the overall end total was still lower than my overall initial total. I dropped my vehicle off on a Tuesday 9AM and picked it up on Friday 3PM. Allen's attention to detail is amazing! He showed me 2 small scratches (not made by him nor his team) that I was not aware of. I could not even locate the 2 scratches when I got home. Allen gave me the warranty for my PPF and requested for me to come back in 10 days for a follow-up inspection on the ceramic coating. He gave me a microfiber towel and demonstrated how to clean my car in the meanwhile. Follow-up Appointment (Inspection): 45 minutes I went back for my follow-up inspection and received the warranty for my ceramic coating. Another member on the team demonstrated how to wash my vehicle using 2 methods in great detail: dry wash and regular wash. He also went over items to purchase for the wash, which was also emailed to me for convenience. I like how he not only washed my vehicle, but also explained the reasoning behind washing it a certain way. Another customer whisked away the team member that I was speaking with, so I was unattended for a short period of time (less than 3 minutes). Another team member stepped in and continued talking to me, which made me feel very welcomed. They also installed my mud flaps that were purchased on Amazon for free. I noted the time I spent at Xtreme Edge just as a reference to anyone who has an appointment during the work week like I did. As noted, I did not break away from work for too long (30 minutes for initial appointment and 45 minutes for follow up appointment). They are cognizant of their customers' time and each minute spent there was to put to use. They maintained their efficiency while attentively listening and addressing my every concern. Xtreme Edge provides great service in their auto shop, but also wants their customers to leave their auto shop with the knowledge to extend the cosmetic life of their car. They are passionate about their work and it truly shows! Overall, I am beyond satisfied with my experience at Xtreme Edge from start to finish and even more satisfied with the quality of their work. 1 week update. Quality retained (outdoor-parked car). There was only some minor lifting of the film on the spoiler, but Allen was kind enough to squeeze me in his schedule (twice - ended up having a conflicting meeting because of work) to get it corrected. Allen and the team washed the car in full, corrected the lift, and even inspected the rest of the car. He made additional corrections on very minor things like the film on passenger door cup, passenger side view mirror (these were minor enough that I didn't even notice or think twice about it). This place was very professional, my dad came with me to get my car polished because I found out black car absorbs everything and makes every thing more obvious, so we needed to polish old water spots that were ingrained into the black paint of my car.
