New place so I figure why not. I would say zero stars except for the woman who actually did my nails appeared nice, even though she did not speak any English as almost everyone there. They charge two dollars extra when you ask for drying drops. This would be fine if they actually used drying drops instead of some bad top coat. Then they charge two dollars more for a credit card to be used?! I had no problem going to ATM to get cash for tip after but I go back and ask for change and the woman rudely tells me no in Spanish and will not give me change to tip her own worker!!! I walked into in for a gel change, and had acrylics on. Another nail salon had done a poor job on the acrylics, which caused them to chip away during the process of taking off the gel (yikes!). I decided to ditch the acrylic, and go natural. The technician was very careful in taking off the acrylic, which took some time! She was very patient, upbeat, and concentrated. If I could leave no star I would. I live in the neighborhood and thought I would try it out since the place close by that I always go to was full. Well, in retrospect I should have just waited at my regular place. I went in for a manicure and to have a tip placed on a nail that was uneven. There was no one there and I still had to wait about 15 mins before anyone attended me. When I sat down the woman doing my nails had a nasty attitude like she didn't want to do them. She played on her phone for most of the time, and when she saw my uneven nail she said she couldn't do much for it. I told her to put acrylic on it so it would look to same, and she gave me attitude about that; am sorry you have to do a service you provide...ugh. Anyhow when I was getting ready to pay my nail chipped and asked her to redo it, she looked at my nail and pushed the polish down to fix it. Just overall TERRIBLE! The lady that did my nails was nice but the job she did was MEDIOCRE! To start off I noticed how she was doing her co-workers nails and that is not a problem, what I thought was Unacceptable is that she DID NOT even try to clean or disinfect the tools she used with her, which she later attempted to use to do my pedicure. She did my acrylic nails and she asked the shape I wanted, to what I responded I wanted them to be narrow from the tip of the nail, but she used a way bigger size for my nail. I thought she had a way to fix it but I was wrong. The WORST part about it is that when she used the nail file from the sides SHE CUT THROUGH MY SKIN and no it wasn't only one nail, BOTH OF MY HANDS have cuts from both sides OF ALL MY FINGERS, I kept complaining and she said sorry but kept doing it, I didn't realize the cuts until it was time to wash my hands. I have NEVER EVER EVER been through anything close to this and I am now praying to god I don't get an infection in my fingers. NOW THE PRICE? I am a very good person when it comes to tip and I am okay with paying money as long as I get what I want. I always pay under $35 dollars with a better outcome than this but I thought I'd try this place just because I walk past it very often but it was the WORST MISTAKE $55 for a painful acrylic nail job that is UNEVEN in shape and size. I went there when they initial opened. Service was ok but my gel manicure chipped the next day. I thought at first it was because of the brand of gel. (They only had Esse and not OPI). I decided to go back and what a mistake. I walked in and went to the desk where I waited a good 5 minutes before my presence was acknowledged. Finally when I talked to someone they told me the wait time was 10 minutes. Well during those 10 minutes two walking ins were serviced before me. After 45 minutes a manicurist approaches me and tells me she will give me a manicure. I told her I wanted a gel manicure and she stated she only does manicures. After that I just walked out. Incredibly unprofessional staff. The place has potential to be a great go to for a quick and inexpensive mani/pedi but someone needs to speak to the loud, unprofessional and obnoxious nail techs. As someone mentioned previously there is one girl who is particularly rude, mouthy and quite loud. She may be the one who spoils it for the bunch. Not sure about other patrons but I go for a mani/pedi as a way to relax. Some "me time" hard to do when the nail tech is retelling over the top stories of her bf and evening. I walked in and was told gel manicure and regular pedicure would be 45. I made sure to ask if this would include the removal of the gel I already had on my hands and feet. They assured me the price would remain the same. I decided to have two different colors on my hands as well. They ended up charging me 65 as they said now it cost 10 dollars for gel removal and 10 dollars for the accent colors. The service was good, but the owner is not upfront about additional costs. It decent, they have a huge selection of nail polishes but the ladies themselves aren't very costumer friendly. They don't talk to you and do seem to rush through it. At one point they messed my nails and she just painted over it with no base coat. When drying my nails they just leave left me there , I wasn't till I ask if I was done did they come to me. They have no drying stations and they make you sit and dry with little fans in weird places where you are constantly in the way and being asked to move and/or someone moves her chair and unplugs your fan. The guy who runs the place is super creepy too. Never again. read more

The new staff is rude, constantly talk on their phones while doing a poor job on your nails. They talk horrible about one another and the customers. In addition to that, girls working there are unlicensed, don't speak English and like to rip you off. There is always a different price for their service. First and last time I get my nails done at this place. Not all, but most of the workers are just fooling around WHILE doing people's nails. I am an extremely patient person, but the service I saw & received was ridiculous. The woman who seems to be in charge of the register has to get up every time someone pays to charge; even if she is working on someone. Not only that, but this same person constantly was on her phone or fooling around with other workers. My friend happened to get her nails done by her... She was the first to start getting her nails done out of three of a that went... I went last and I finished before her. The person who attended me did a decent job on my nails, but she too was fooling around during the time she was working on me. (She even sneezed on my foot while doing my pedicure..) some of the workers were eating meanwhile working... I feel bad for the few women who actually work well, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Okay so just to clarify, I went to their newer location across the street on 8/12/16 before I left for vacation. The woman did a **WONDERFUL** job on my gel manicure and regular pedicure. Only problem was that I ended up getting a toe infection. The manicurist had done some digging in there to fix an ingrown. I literally squeezed a bunch of puss out a few days later. With some peroxide, alcohol swabs, and ointment I was able to clear it up on my own within a week. It was very sore and painful for my entire vacation (what a nuisance!). Anyway.. ladies. This place isn't the pits. The receptionist doesn't seem to really do much of anything except sit in a corner and pout. But the rest of the staff are very accommodating and lovely. I recommend to put some peroxide on your toes after every mani-pedi to make sure that if there is any bacteria present - to nip it in the butt right away. Just keep tabs on the cleaning here to make sure the bath and tools are clean. read more

I should have just gotten my nails done in Manhattan (and read these reviews before I wandered in). There was NO MENTION of $5 extra charge for taking some gel color off my nails and so when it came time to pay, I didn't have any money for a tip ($30 is all I had). Instead of the manager apologizing and saying "next time"..., now there will be no next time. I told the manicurist, Joceyln, it wasn't her fault (maybe she thought I already knew). I will not be recommending this place for that reason and because the TV is on, it is not a very relaxing atmosphere. I don't mind the women talking Spanish (that is my background too). The salon is very noisy though, so if you are looking to know how much you will be charged and a place to unwind, this is NOT the place for you. All around, very disappointing customer service. Please walk about 30 steps down the block for another nail salon or find a special in Manhattan (15-17$ for mani/pedi during the week) and no charge for removing old polish. Now I am debating whether to put $ in an envelope and send it snail mail. I doubt the manager gave her the money that was meant for her. I made myself perfectly clear (felt badly), and still there was a lack of understanding or caring. Many of the reviews for this place are stating the same. This is why customers will not return. Nice decoration !! Overprice no massage tubs very loud staff the manicure and pedicure done by Alba was really nice and professional. They charge extra fee with credit card and they always short in change, screaming all over to get change and finally tell you straight "next time don't bring large bills" WHATTTTT !!!! I went here with my mom for the first time because I saw it was a new place that had just opened. I saw that they had a huge nail color selection and I was really happy. We both got regular manicures and I happened to see that they had gel for $20-25. I figured next time I would come back for that because those are pretty decent prices for the gel (considering other places charge more). So I eventually did come back and the lady doing my nails seemed a bit distracted. She was watching TV instead of giving me her full attention. Usually, the TV at the nail salons that I have been to is facing the clients so they are able to watch it. Anyway, she seemed like she was rushing through it and I actually had to remind her a few times that she forgot to put the UV lamp on. Which brings me to the next thing. After I left the salon my nails had already chipped!Pretty sure the gel is supposed to last for a good couple of weeks! I went back a few days later and told them what had happened and asked me "why" it happened. Probably because you guys don't know exactly what you're doing? But obviously I wouldn't say that. Anyway the other lady doing my nails also seemed a bit distracted and was like on her phone to the point where I wanted to get up and leave because I thought it was so rude. Like helllooo?!
