This is a great spot on the beach to take a break from the sun and get a cold drink and snacks. We had the sangria wine and margarita here. Both very good although the margarita was quite sweet. The croquettes were delicious. We started with and order of four and ended up ordering four more. The ham version is tasty but if you are adventurous I recommend the kimchi one. My toddler really liked it as well. The gespacho is another highlight. My mom is a picky eater and actually really enjoyed the soup here. Prices are high but as you'd expect for a beach side eatery. Service was great and it's family friendly. They had a clean high chair for my toddler and there's room to park a stroller. read more

Stellar service from our waiter, Issac. He was very attentive (which can be hard to find in Spain) and made menu suggestions that were great. He was there when needed and faded into the background when appropriate. Now, on to the food. The squid ink fritters were an unexpected delight (and a recommendation from Issac). The fritters were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and topped with a tomato jelly, yum! We ordered the sea bass (whole fish) to share. Grilled and served with vegetables. Grilled to perfection, flaky and juicy- it was perfect for lunch. If you're at the beach in Barcelona, this place deserves a visit (or many!). read more

Walking the beach at dinner time and this amazing location caught our eye, right on the sand! We checked out the menu and decided to sit, even though Yelp reviews weren't stellar. I have to report they were wrong. We had a very nice meal. The tomato bread alone would be enough for a thumbs up. But we also had the patatas bravas with the sauce on the side, very good option! The seafood paella was not the best I've ever had, but it was good and filling. Definitely give it another look, it has more than location going for it based on the plates I saw coming out of the kitchen! read more

Excellent beach facing location but the food was overpriced and average. We ordered seafood paella and vegetarian paella. They require two orders of paella but agreed to give one order in vegetarian. The seafood paella was good but the prawns looked stale, vegetarian paella was under seasoned. Good place to get a drink at the beach but try and not order too much food. read more

Great location AT the beach. Very few spots have this premium location, doesnt get better than this for a nice lunch at the beach. Paella was good and the server was uber nice and friendly. We ordered fallua and seafood paellas and both were good. The best paella is probably inside an arroceria but this one was tasty and with the ocean by us it is perfect day in Barceloneta! Highly recommend for the combo, even the wait was welcomed. Paellas always have wait as they r made to order. Also triple kudos and thanks to Christoper. He was friendly and served like a pro. . Highly recommend this place for exceptional service from Matteo (he went above and beyond and was a real hit with all the tables he was serving) and the rest of the terrace team who did an incredible job on a beautiful, sunny, November afternoon. Right-on-the-beach terrace bar with great food, drinks and service. We went to this beach bar twice within a weekend. So, let me start by saying that if you are looking for a bar right on the beach then this is it....the terrace of this bar is almost into the beach - you are less than 20 feet away from the sea.. you can hear the waves, see the sea and enjoy the sun - but only if you are on the terrace. The covered bar - enclosed area can be a little dark. The cocktails are pretty good and the cava and wine selection is okay. - We tried the margaritas, cava and gin & tonic - all good. The food is pretty good - we tried the bombas, the fried sardines, croquettes, - all good. The service is quite prompt and good but it can be a little crowded on weekends. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to sit on the terrace. All in all - Definitely recommend for a sunny afternoon! read more

Great location and great design. I brought my cousins here when they were visiting and we sat outside. Disclaimer: You have to order food if you're going to sit outside, because it is that popular/posh during the summer. We ended up getting some tapas and a pitcher of sangria. It was much more expensive than what I am used to, but I'm also living here on a student budget. Regardless, I will certainly come here again. Definitely a crowd pleaser kind of place...would be good for dates and family visits, too. The atmosphere is wonderful and its exactly the kind of experience you expect out of Barcelona: beach and booze. We came here on recommendation from a friend who lives in Barcelona as it's not too overpriced for eating on the water. We had a 2pm lunch and were seated immediately (we made reservations- didn't need to but it was also May so not prime tourist season quite yet). They had tapas options which were definitely the most expensive we saw in Barcelona by far. The croquettes for 6 of them was 10 euros! We also had a pitcher of sangria which was good and the mixed paella. Our waiter spoke pretty good English and asked us THREE times if we wanted 2 paellas instead of 1. We thought that was weird unless they were personal sized so I tried asking how big they were and he ignored me and just said so you want 2? And we said no- 1 is fine (figured if still hungry we could venture somewhere else). This was not the case- it was your standard big paella dish and we were both stuffed. It was really good- but were upset he'd try to up sell us 2. Also I'd recommend sticking to the seafood paella as that was all cooked great- the mixed just had these chewy pork rib bites that were inedible and not necessary. Great location read more

Did I just get tourist trapped? I think so. Things that went wrong: 1. My traveling companions' bottle of red was improperly corked and the staff tried to pass it off. 2. Incorrect appetizer brought out to me. Baby squids instead of calamari rings. But then 5 minutes later, calamari rings appeared. Waiter had to go ask the chef if it was ok for me to keep my calamari rings. What would you have done with it otherwise? 3. Cod brought out when friend ordered salmon. Salmon then brought out basically raw. Attitude and snark when asked to take it back. "We were trying to get it to you quickly!" quickly does not equal raw, my friend. 4. Watery paella. Ew. The drinks were well below par. Came here around 8pm. The restaurant was empty which was good. We sat on one of the tables nearest to the beach with a view over-looking the sea. You could just see the sunset in the distance (right of the big glass building). This was very nice, however. I ordered the mixed sea food platter which arrived Luke warm and went cold in about a Minuit. The dish looked nice but for €30 odd euros it wasn't worth it. My friend ordered the cod with mashed potatoes and truffle sauce which he found wasn't cooked in the middle properly. Which, again, for €20 euros wasn't worth it. If my food had of been warm, my friends cooked then it would have been a good experience but these factors let it down massively because of how much it cost. The service was good and the waiter and waitress pleasant. They both spoke good English. Will be going to a better place next time! read more

This is a beachside bar with great views, slow service, and insane prices. So much better places for even a simple beer. Classic bait & switch on beer pricing here. The menu makes it look like a beer will be one price but the bill comes and it is another - when you make an inquiry, the service staff explains you had a LARGE beer not the small and it is priced accordingly. It was ok. I had better patatas bravas (I found them very oily) and croquettes everywhere else I went in Barcelona. They were good, but not delicious. They were the priciest tapas I had in Barcelona, but I'm sure it's because you're paying a premium for the view. My boyfriend did love his paella and the setting was beautiful. Our original server seemed put out to be taking our order. The people seating us and the other people that helped us were very nice. Location is the best thing about this place! That said the food and drinks were great as well. Both times we were here we got the sangria - delicious and light, full of fruit! We went through that quite quickly. Tried the bream and salmon. Both were cooked well, good proportions and came with delicious sides. Second time we had the paella and oh my gosh. Delicious and filled with seafood. Not the absolute best paella I've had, but still up there. The worst server we've had in our 6 day stay in Barcelona. The food was just not good, or fresh. We ordered a tuna tataki plate and the tuna was purple.
