3.5 stars - it's a decent spot for sushi and ramen but with so much competition in the neighborhood, the only thing going is the value. Price wise, it is very reasonable indeed. But what missed the mark for me was the "room for improvement" on a few things. The ramen was decent, broth was not packing enough umami for me. The extra noodle portion was ample. Overall the ramen just lacked that oomph factor but it's a decent noodle soup otherwise. The other item was the poke bowl we ordered. It sounded great on the menu but arrived a bit disappointing. The bowl was only half full and skimpy on the rice and ingredients in general. While it offers so many choices and includes a variety of items in three categories - it doesn't justify the portion. I believe you get more at standard poke place. Now onto my sashimi deluxe. It came with a bowl of rice but not with miso soup. I realized it when I got the bill. Many places have entrees that come with soup or salad (my bad for assuming). Overall food was good so no complaints there. I just wished the proportion was to par. On that note, I've ordered from them many times for home delivery and they are very good with packaging and delivery times. Came here with my friends, since they had mentioned they had a 20% off new management promotion that lasts until 9/15. We each ordered some sushi and a bowl of our choice. I ordered 2 rolls of california rolls, 1 Green Dragon and the Miso ramen. It was all devoured. I got to try the salmon roll, and was surprised at the quality of the fish. It was better than what I had expected. We opted to sit outside since the weather was nice, and so did a lot of other people. When we got there, it was pretty empty but the seats filled up pretty fast. I would definitely come back again. read more

Ordered take out for lunch. DO NOT go here unless you're desperate for low rate sushi. The quality of their fish is questionable and even as far as fish goes it smells rancid. The color of the tuna AND salmon are terrible. Pale tuna = old. And the orange color in the salmon is so obviously fake that it's just sad. (Yes, certain places will add dye to your fish to seem fresh). There are plenty of other sushi places around. Drive to Bayside or Douglaston for better quality sushi at the same prices. TL;DR: Don't bother with this place; low rate quality. The sashimi looks so questionable that it's not worth the low price they offer. read more

They have a good bar if your planning happy hour and the ambiance is not stuffy and modern. I ordered delivery from here a couple of times and was happy with the meal that I had, I decided to actually go to the Restaurant and was very excited with my decision. When you walk in, a nice bar is situated at the front with seats and bar stools. The tables were clean , and food came out fast. The meals were delicious. I should've ordered from the sushi bar as well. I'm very excited to come back and hopefully I'll have more pictures to share in the near future. This place always make us feel like home. This use to be Era, an all you can eat. It is now al la cartel but pretty good still. Adrian is a great manager and a staple in the great neck neighborhood. We came here with a group of 16 plus 3 kids on a Saturday night. He was able to accommodate us since we called ahead Thursday evening. The food was great! I shared the "special night for two" sushi and sashimi for 2 plus a poke bowl. The poke bowl with the yahao sauce is a must!!! The portion for the sushi and sashimi is incredible for $58. You get to choose the chef special roll. I would recommend the lob lob roll. Overall, I hope this stays around for a long time. Hope Adrian stays around since we will be back. Had a big party tonight of 16 people and we wanted to try it all! We got a little bit of everything amongst the table which included several sushi dinner for two, where we got to pick the special roll. A table favorite was the Lob Lob roll for sure and the sashimi was fresh! The table also had their oysters, which I expected to be regular shucked oysters. Turns out that were lightly sauced which made me loveee them! To bad they ran out! My husband and I also ordered the ikamaru and lobster taco, which the "taco" was Tostitos scoops BUT I thoroughly enjoyed the combination! We also got the miso ramen with beef and our own poke bowl. We ordered so much that we decided to take the poke bowl home out of everything because it was so fresh! Looking forward to leftovers! On top of the great food, the manager Adrian was great! Good sushi is hard to find but this place definitely serves QUALITY sushi. The rice is perfectly cooked and the sushi was nicely cut (not too thin or too thick). Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch. There was no wait and we were seated right away. I had the gyu miso ramen which is your standard ramen with sliced beef. The meal was tasty on the frigid afternoon. The highlight of the meal was the poke we had. All of the ingredients were fresh and the portion was huge! Unfortunately, Great Neck is flooded with Asian restaurants all trying to undercut each other, but this place is no gimmicks, just good food, fair prices, and excellent service. The owners are always there and do their best to make sure you're having a great time. My husband tends to opt for either sushi/sashimi or a poke bowl which he says is always very fresh and I tend to get something from the kitchen, I recommend the Thai Basil Chicken entree for sure. I would have given this place a 4 star rating, but this place is really inconsistent with their wait time. There is nothing wrong with their food, in fact the sushi here is pretty decent! The main problem is the customer service. They're not really friendly and every time when I order either online or on the phone it/they usually say(s) 25 minutes. I usually give them an extra 5 minute grace period, but even then it will take a total of almost 45 minutes to pick up my order! It's not like I'm ordering party trays or anything just maybe a total of 3-4 regular rolls. Not once was there an apology for the long wait time.  So if you want a quick meal this is definitely not the place to go, you're most probably better off somewhere else. read more

This place took over from Ippon. Generally when another restaurant replaces another restaurant with the same cuisine the food generally stays the same. Not in this case. The menu of this new restaurant is almost the same at the old restaurant but with a different look. However the food is not so good. Nothing memorable. The seafood ramen was just ok.
