Tonkatsu Ramen
Rene D.

In again on Memorial Day wknd sat. Parking lot pretty mt again. I didn't want to cook and hubby having some tummy problems so we decided to have some yummy Ramen. I just love the tonkotsu. Order at counter easy and pay then food comes out pretty quickly! I get the togarashi and chili oil for add ins! Yum Back in June... mmm this looks like a monthly thing with us!! Haha. I tried the chicken ramen today and the boy had usual Tonkatsu. Omg that's good too! I don't think we have EVER had a bad meal here yet! Edamame for munchy. See pix below. A rainy NW day today and Ramen hits the spot always!! I always get his half egg too. Love that.

My brother and sister like the sushi here, so we decided to order dinner from here for delivery. I decided to try the Korean Fried Chicken, which came with a side of rice and salad. It was pretty good, and came in a good portion. My sister got the Mongolian Beef, and that was also good, but the portion wasn't as generous as the Korean Fried Chicken. We also got Inari and the Washington, Black Mamba, and Yaki Raki rolls. All were yummy. Next time, I will want to try a roll.

A really good hidden gem right by my house! Chicken teriyaki is super good, I've had it twice in one week and I'm not even a huge teriyaki fan. I picked up from the store, but the stuff was nice and inside It looked + smelled clean and had a customers! I will definitely be back to try more things on the menu

Excited to discover Yaki Raki close to my home. My son wanted chicken teriyaki and I wanted sushi so this worked out perfectly. Service is friendly, the ambiance is nice, the restaurant is clean and the food coming out smells and looks amazing. I ordered to go today yet can't wait to dine in sometime soon. I'll be back!

I recommend this place for a quick little sushi meal. There are a good amount of seating options and the location was clean. The sushi was prepared pretty fast and it was delicious! You order at the counter and pay and then the food gets delivered to you. Service was good and staff was very nice!

Very clean interior

I came in for a late lunch and had a great experience. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. The menu has a wide variety of options--Teriyaki, Ramen, Sushi--something for everyone. I ordered the combo for $25, which came with soup, salad, one regular roll, and one special roll. For the price, I thought the food was fresh and tasted good. The interior was clean, modern, and inviting. I'd definitely recommend stopping by for lunch!

Ordered for Pickup! omfg... Can't believe I haven't tried sooner! The rolls at Yaki Raki are amazing! Such great fish quality and taste for a really decent price, plus they have combo deals too! The service was great for pickup as well. Looked like lots of dining space inside & clean. Can't wait to come eat again!!

Hidden Gem! I did not expect much from this strip mall establishment. It used to be called WoK something, which was mediocre at best. I had to grab something quick in the area so I gave it a try. I guess it's been under new ownership for a year now. The plate portions are HUGE and very tasty. Good value for what you get. I ordered the lemon salmon/yellowtail sushi (added tempura shrimp inside + $4) and a classic spider roll. Both made fresh by the sushi chef- he makes it right out front. I was pretty happy with the two rolls. I saw the teriyaki plates coming out and I had to order it to go. They let me make my own combo- 1/2 honey garlic chicken 1/2 teriyaki. I haven't been wowed by chicken teriyaki in forever but this one was WOW. It had a grilled/smokey flavor to it which I appreciated. No complaints for dine in or take out. I'll definitely be coming back. BTW- you will need a to-go box because there is so much food.

The food was very good! The service was great! Complimentary hot tea and lemon water was a bonus. The ambiance was casual but modern. Nice music too! The reason they did not get five stars was because the overwhelming smell of chemicals like febreeze. For those with health issues such as autoimmune disease or cancer, it is very difficult to be in this environment.

Such a lovely spot:) Clean, cozy, and welcoming. The food is fresh, delicious, and comes out quickly, with very friendly service. Prices are fair, and the whole atmosphere makes you want to come back again. And one more thoughtful touch, at the counter you can ask for a complimentary tea bag. Little details like this make the place even more special.

Delicious quick bite to eat! Located in the plaza, wrap up your day of shopping with a sushi lunch. My husband and I wanted small bites before a local concert, and Yaki Raki had just want we were looking for. They have a huge menu though, so much to try. We ordered the calamari tempura appetizer, which are chunky sized pieces of calamari rather than strips. It comes with a yummy sweet sauce on the side. We shared two rolls, an eel roll and a salmon roll, then finished it off with a tamago nigiri. They don't have fountain drinks, but do have sodas and beverages in a can you can buy. Plus they have a free, self serve water station. The fish was fresh and good quality.

Leftovers to go home to Char

Every time I checked this place before, it was always so busy I couldn't get in. Today I took a chance and stepped in to check out the menu. Prices seemed reasonable but I had NO IDEA. I went for Chicken Teryaki partially because the picture looked good and I was HONGRY. I got the free tea bag that comes with my order and poured a cup of hot water to let it steep. I sat down just after lunch and it was there quite quickly. Now I'm hesitant to tell everyone to go there because I REALLY liked it and hope it doesn't get too crowded. The ambience? It's a nice theme that I didn't pay much attention to but I noticed a little wear on the floor. (Likely from the massive amount of happy shiny people passing through and partaking of mass quantities of consumables) The amount of food I got was plenty for two people. I ate 1/2 my chicken and a 1/3 of the rice (doused in the sweet teriyaki drippings from the chicken. Although flavorful and lightly sweet and delicious, no noticeable change in my Glucose level so far 2 hours later, but I've yet to test) I'm not one for iceberg lettuce in salad but it looked delicious and Char loved it and the other 1/2 of the chicken. The puppy got some rice with a little sauce so she was happy too. I wrapped up eating my 1/2 and asked Char if she wanted some. The home box was just big enough for the leftover food. I'm a big eater so when I say I was surprised that much was left, I'm not kidding! Another day I might have eaten all the chicken but I would have been stuffed! I let the cashier know I write for Yelp and asked if I could take her picture for the review. She asked the cook Jay, who I think is also the owner/manager and he was okay after he realized I wasn't just a perv taking pretty girls like Kayla's pictures. He cooked it up awesome and Kayla was super nice and efficient too. Now for Nap time after I check my blood glucose level. Zzzz

I stumbled upon this place by chance and I'm so glad I did! It's a Japanese restaurant that serves a combo of different Asian foods, including KFC (Korean fried chicken) and different Chinese foods. When you walk in, there's directions on how to order but here's how it goes: 1. Grab a menu 2. Seat yourself 3. Go to cashier to order 4. Grab water/tea yourself and 5. They bring your food out to your table 6. Leave the table and they'll clean it. The ambiance was nice, pretty casual, and it was spacious so you don't feel like you're cramped in. The food was tasty, the portions huge! I have very limited food options due to a food intolerance but even what I did have was very tasty and it looked clean. They have booster seats and high chairs which is a plus for families with littles. Overall, we will be back! I'd give it five stars if it had gluten free options labeled!

I wish my service was better, but I got the service i paid for which was zero. They still brought my food out, but lowkey its not all my fault I didn't tip. They make you pay in advanced and for somereason I just expected they would bring it out togo. I dont really tip unless im being served and waited and and etc... so yes I was served the food, but wasnt exactly waited on or check on. With that said the food was above ok. Nothing wrong with cheap and good, unless the ingredients make your tummy hurt. Lol. Luckily it was not cheap quality like corner store ramen or anything. My broth was pretty quality also, but could habe used a slight bit more flavor in my opinion. It was a creamy broth and most places keep it clean so its normal that I want more flavor from creamy broth. Lucky for me their spice is actually spicy.

The chicken chashu wasn't chashu, it looked like just sliced up chicken breasts. It didn't have a flavorful broth and some ingredients tasted old. The nachos also had good toppings and fish, but the chips were stale.

My family has driven past Cooks Tavern so many times and each time I've made a matter of factly…read moreremark that we should try it in the near future. After what I believe to have been 2 years of saying that, that day has finally come. First, parking near the restaurant was limited, however finding parking in the residential area was fine. We found parking about 2 minutes away from the restaurant. As we came with my best friend, who, by the way, was the reason why I finally stepped foot here, wait time wasn't long as she came about 5 minutes earlier than I. We came for brunch and it was busy but the wait was not bad at all. The both of us ordered the same items on the menu from both the drinks, the main and dessert - a sangria, Shakshuka with lamb, and beignets. We also brought our daughters with us. They ordered a cheeseburger with a side of caesar salad and a mac n cheese dish from the kids menu. Our orders were delicious, although I was expecting the shakshuka dish to be heftier. For the price - $17. xx with an additional $4 to add lamb - it was a little disappointing, to be honest, especially since it was lacking in the lamb department. I was still hungry but thankfully I had my 4 year old's leftover cheeseburger and salad to fill me right up. As for the beignets, it was good. I don't have anything to compare it to since I don't know what an actual beignet tastes like. Would I return? Sure.
