This lil shop has been one of the longest running teriyaki shops in Tac Town. The have some of the healthiest portions in the teriyaki game. Upside food quality and Chinese options and japanese options. The grill could use a more regular cleaning as to regulate the amount of char which was more than I cared for, but for the money you can dine and take some for leftovers. Service was good promptly greeted and order taken quickly. Decorations are nice but dated. Still one of the most solid Teriyaki spots still kicking from back in the day.

Spicy chicken that's so spicy it's not edible

To the chef that decided to make my spicy chicken so spicy, it was no longer edible. I hope the next time you take a woman out, she pegs you so hard that your asshole hurts as much as mine will probably be hurting tomorrow again. I hope the next woman you take out pegs you over and over again. I love your food normally, but this chef can go get pegged

I happened upon this place when I was in town staying in the area. I got the salmon teriyaki with the sauce on the side to go. It was pretty good. The place was semi busy when I came here, and the waitress I ordered from was nice, we had a few laughs together. I would come here again, no doubt!!

I ordered take out Chicken Teriyaki from here and I must say they give you a mound of chicken, the presentation was nice and I was given soy sauce, napkins, and extra chopsticks without asking, its the little things...... The price point is 14 and change out the door.... Little pricey but not the worst.... The inside looks like they let you sit there and eat but its more built for takeout..... if you are in the area give them a try, I wouldnt go out of my way though.... Quick side not their soy sauce does have alcohol in it if thats something you avoid

I work really close so I come here often but service lately hasn't been good. They treat me different from when I'm in my work uniform Anyways I Usually have good food if the cook doesn't leave egg shell in every bite. Disappointing experience. Called in a order was told 10-15 mins, I get there 15 mins and they tell me just a couple of more mins. 25 mins later food is finally out, come home take a bite of my fried rice and literally egg shell in almost every bite, I call and they say "oh" without any care and say thank you and get off the phone.

Amazing service! My daughter (5 year old) doesn't like Japanese food so she had a sour face. One of the waitresses was SO KIND & made her a balloon flower & headband to match! The food was quick & delicious!! Red dragon rolls are awesome! I had teriyaki chicken and fried rice with egg rolls! My daughter had a veggie tempura! Very satisfied! We will definitely be back! Portions were huge!! Brought some home for dinner!

(FYI, for weekends and holidays, you'll be charged the dinner price all day). Since it was our first time, our server kindly explained how the ordering system works. You place your sushi orders through one phone with a limit of 15 items every 15 minutes. Drinks and refills are recommended to be ordered directly through your server so they don't take up item slots. Even if you order less than 15 items, you still wait the 15 minutes before placing another round. It sounds a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple! One of the cutest parts of the experience was having our food delivered by a little robot server with a cat face. Just make sure to grab the food from the section glowing blue so you don't accidentally take another table's order. Super fun and honestly memorable! By the time we were getting full, my family joked that the cat face looked menacing, because we were hoping no more food would be brought to our table lol. The orders don't all arrive at the same time and some can be delayed, so I'd suggest somewhat trying to keep track of your orders if you don't want to go overboard. The sashimi was delicious and the portions are HUGE, so definitely pace yourself because they do charge for leftovers. My son got a little too excited and overordered, so we ended up paying the leftover fee. However, I was genuinely impressed that Sumo Sushi actually allows you to take leftovers home, even with the fee included. I mean, you'll have to pay the fee either way, but I've never been to an AYCE sushi restaurant that allowed leftovers as takeout before. I really respect how serious they are about reducing food waste. They also have a small buffet section you can grab already prepared/cooked food from while waiting for your sushi orders. My absolute favorites were the miso soup, seafood boil(?), and the tempura fish that lives rent free in my head (I should have asked if I could order that fish for takeout!). They also had other hot foods, meats, and seafood options that were tasty. The dessert section was more basic (flan, jello, fortune cookies, etc.), so I skipped dessert this time (besides the fortune cookies hehe). The service, in general, was fantastic. While we were dining, a child nearby celebrated a birthday with their family and the staff went ALL OUT singing happy birthday with light-up decorations and so much energy. It was adorable and way more effort than most restaurants put in. My only small critique is that the "French Fries" listed on the menu are actually sweet potato fries. They tasted good, and I normally like sweet potatoes, but it definitely caught us off guard because it wasn't what we expected. When we left, the staff kindly said goodbye to us, including an older gentleman near the door who consistently seemed focused on customer service and even asked if we wanted condiments packed with our leftovers. We had such a lovely experience and I would consider Sumo Sushi as probably one of the better AYCE sushi spots in the area. We'll definitely be back!

It was Father's Day, so of course it was busy. But the food was subpar, it came out in indefinable intervals, and we weren't really checked on at all. The sushi - when it finally showed up - was good, but the grilled beef was fatty and greasy. The Chicken 'Katsu' was soggy. Some items - despite taking what seemed like forever to arrive - felt and tasted like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. Horrible experience for $100. We won't be back.

Full of flavor and loaded with vegetables. 10/10 easy. You get a generous serving for just over ten bucks and usually order a couple to go every time. As for the food, solid as well. Chicken is decent quality and has a good amount of char on it. The eggrolls are the usual basic and consistent brand along with the salad dressing too. The beverage cooler is a NO GO! All of the soda is expired and the can of soda I got was close to date but still good. The place itself could use some work. It appears that they clean but a deep clean has been ignored for a while. The tables have a look and feel to it that leaves us going ugh. The chairs got a sway and seem it's one ass away from buckling. Overall, you're not gonna stop me from the egg drop soup. Solid four stars and gonna get it everytime. Regardless.
