    Squid 7. Takoyaki Skewers

Delicious food at Smorgasbord! Had the squid Squid Takoyaki Skewers and loved it. It was savory, well seasoned and fresh. What an amazing stand to have at Smorgasbord

I went to this stand at the oculus new wall street today, it was sooooooooo good! The staff was super nice, while they cooked you could hear them telling the others the orders in japanese. I Ordered chicken breast skewers and takoyaki, the chicken breast was very tender and juicy with just a touch of sweetness but not too sweet and a slight rice wine flavor and slight soy sauce flavor. The takoyaki dough was light and fluffy and the octopus was tender and soft. My only qualm would be i wish they would give takoyaki sauce and kewpie mayo and bonito flakes, but it was still great.

These guys are my go-to at Smorgasberg. Perfectly cooked meat, fast turnaround, friendly staff, what more could you ask for?

Tried this place at smorgasburg prospect park today. The place smelled great when I passed by and I love my skewers. So I got a chicken, pork and beef skewers to try everything. Have to say that beef was okay but the pork and chicken were bad. They were very dry and felt there was too much sauce. The beef was cooked decently but both chicken and pork were over cooked. Was very disappointed. Hopefully next time I have a better experience than the current

Wow I was impressed with their chicken skewers. I tried them at smorgasburg WTC. The Chicken was juicy and flavorful and a great portion. The sauce was also delicious. Definitely recommend!

I was able to try this vendor during Smorg To Go (the takeout version of Smorgasburg during the pandemic). The Kobe beef skewers were tender, fatty, and absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed the Kobe beef meatballs. The pork belly and other seafood options were also decent but I think the standouts were definitely the beef items. The chicken was a little dry but well seasoned.

I honestly could've scarfed down like 3 of these in one meal, but I came here for a late night dinner snack haha. 9/10 Papaya Drink - This is clearly what the hot dog spot is named after, right? So of course we had to get it! It had a very thick consistency, but it was still yummy and not overly sweet. 10/10 Orange Drink - I loved this drink out of the 2 we tried, and this one was fireeeeeeee! It's basically a spin on an orange juice drink, but in my opinion, it's way better!

St. and Amsterdam Ave! This location is most famous for its recession special: two frankfurters and one tropical drink (not pictured). The dog by itself is on the bland side, but the dog is nirvana once you slap on your favorite toppings. The chili and cheese are two additional upcharges, but it's a small price to pay for a piece of heaven! Check out Gray's if you are on the go and need a quick, satisfying meal.
