We ate here two evenings in a row while on a business trip. Habachi style the first & sushi the second. The food and staff were wonderful! However, we found it strange that they didn't have a serving spoon for our side of fried rice. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Marysville.

Didn't expect to find such great sushi in Marysville, but I did. Lots of yummy options, great service and some nice sake too. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Here's my quick thoughts of this place while it is still fresh in my brain. When we were ordering I had a hard time wanting to get hibachi pick up for $22.00 a meal. My sister got the chicken and filet and was very pleased with it for $27.00 but I just couldn't do it. Haha I feel like you're paying for that experience that you're missing. Anyways, I got the plum tempura chicken for $15.00 which also cake with soup and salad. Which I thought was a pretty good deal. Here's the downfall, when you get tempura (anything) it's not going to keep that crunchy texture. I made the mistake of getting it though. It had great flavor, the plum sauce was good and there was nice pieces of chicken in that soggy tempura but that texture was eh. Soup was basic but good, salad and ginger dressing good, Snow Mountain sushi roll was pretty bad. I'm not really that picky with sushi but this roll just tasted premade. I could of gotten a better one at the grocery store. However, my sister is pregnant and we had to get a roll that was fully cooked and that's why we picked it. If I try another roll here, I'm gonna try a more flavorful one. So next time I come, I'm going to eat inside the restaurant and get shrimp and chicken hibachi with the experience. Problem solved!

We enjoyed ourselves... Japanese steakhouses are really more about the show than the food but the food was really delicious. The chef did a really nice job of entertaining and cooking. I had the the filet and scallops while wifie had the salmon and shrimp. My only complaint is that their organization seemed off... meaning the service was slow getting drinks refilled and getting dishes cleared. They have a limited number of chefs so you do have to wait a bit for them to get to your table so if you are with friends you have some time to socialize. All and all it was a great experience with delicious food.

Our food took a little longer to come out, but the waiter apologized and kept checking in, which I appreciated. I enjoyed the meal and felt good about the overall quality. Where I hesitated was the value. For the prices they charge, I expected portions that felt a little more generous. I know a few sushi spots that offer the same level of freshness for less, so it's hard not to compare. The food is great, but the price point didn't fully match what came out on the plate. Still a solid spot if you're focused on quality and freshness.

Enter the appetizer: a colossal bowl of Edamame, those humble soybeans elevated to a salty symphony. And then, like a prizefighter entering the ring, the Gyoza arrived, six pork dumplings, each a masterpiece of Japanese culinary artistry. Delectable, unparalleled, a knockout punch to the palate. But wait, the final play was yet to come. The Philadelphia Roll a triumvirate of smoked salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese graced the table. Was it merely a sushi roll? No, my friends, it was the culinary equivalent of a Hail Mary pass--bold, daring, and executed to perfection. The finest in Dublin? Without question. In conclusion, what we witnessed was not just dining; it was an epicurean event, a celebration of flavor and craftsmanship. Truly, a performance worthy of standing ovation. Bravo!

We spent $230 (w/ tip) and it was worth every penny. Probably the best Japanese restaurant in the city. We passed by this place multiple times on our way elsewhere. We're Mario fans, so the name Yoshi caught our eye, but the cramped strip mall exterior doesn't exactly scream culinary dream. We decided to take a chance, and let me just say--wow. It's an intimate space with just a few tables and an 8-10 seat sushi bar. We didn't have reservations (make one, they fill up fast) but managed to snag seats at the bar. The service immediately stood out. We had better attention here than at some upscale steakhouses--glasses never went empty, and their menu suggestions were spot on. One minor heads-up: at the sushi bar, staff sometimes walk behind you to talk to the chefs, which can be a bit distracting. For starters, we grabbed the gyoza and asked for a standout small plate. They pointed us to the beef tongue. It arrived hot with shredded onions and spicy mustard, delivering a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a deep, beefy richness. The gyoza was equally flawless. Instead of the overly chewy or burnt wrappers you find at most spots, these had a delicate, golden-brown sear with an intensely savory, garlicky umami filling. We paired this with Sayuri sake, a creamy, unfiltered pour that perfectly balanced sweetness with a dry, clean finish. Since we love nigiri, we ordered a spread: tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, sweet shrimp, and Japanese scallop, plus a salmon/avocado roll. The cuts were impeccably sourced and practically dissolved on the tongue. You rarely find this level of consistency. Just a heads up--they prepare it the traditional way, meaning there is a dab of wasabi tucked directly under the fish. We also tried the Wagyu A-5 roll. It's about as "meat and potatoes" as a roll can get: steak, carrots, asparagus, and rice. The seared Wagyu fat melted instantly, creating a decadent, buttery glaze over the crisp vegetables. It's one of those rare foods that genuinely forces you to pause after each bite. At $40, it was 100% worth it. I can't say enough about this experience. Next time, we're leveling up to the fatty tuna and Wagyu experience on their special menu. That's the exact culinary peak we've been looking for, and incredibly, it's tucked inside a suburban strip mall. Absolutely brilliant.
