    Dining Table

This was an enjoyable Teppanyaki style Japanese restaurant where the interactive chef cooked directly in front of us. It was very busy when we arrived for an early dinner & I highly recommend reservations as we did. Note, be on time to guarantee your reservation & everyone needs to be present to be seated. There is plenty of free parking. When we arrived we were seated immediately next to a window with a pretty water view. We watched boats & water skiers. Our meals were delicious & it was entertaining to watch our food being cooked. All table side dinners included Clear Soup, which was okay but somewhat bland, a Salad with a yummy homemade Ginger Dressing, a shrimp appetizer that tasted good but unfortunately some of the shrimp weren't clean, Fresh Veggies & Fried Rice, which were tasty & sherbet for dessert. My table side dinner entree was NY Strip & Shrimp for a reasonable price of $31.95. The steak was cooked & seasoned perfectly. Service from the Chef & Server was fine, tho not especially friendly. We felt a little rushed as well because to-go containers were brought out before we were done eating. This was a fun dinner & show experience.

We visited Yamato while in Myrtle Beach and had an overall okay experience. The restaurant is huge and clearly runs like a well-oiled machine -- service was fast, and they definitely have the system down to a science. That said, the ventilation wasn't the best, and with so many hibachi tables going at once, it got a bit smoky. Our chef felt rushed and didn't bring much showmanship to the table, which was a little disappointing since we had three kids with us. He only did the classic food toss about five times total, while we saw more interaction and flair happening at other tables nearby. Also, we've never had so much rice at a hibachi place -- it was seriously about a pound per person! The food itself was just okay; nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. It's a good option if you're looking for a fast hibachi meal in a lively setting, but we were hoping for a bit more entertainment and engagement for the kids. Never had the food cook so fast, ever.

Yamato has really good food with GREAT portion size!!! if you are a foodie and you LOVE to eat, you will love it here. The servers are friendly and the chefs are very kind and humorous. The food is really good tasting and you'll have plenty of it. It is very clean inside and decorated nicely on the inside and out.

This was an okay experience. The food and quick to seat was amazing, but I feel like the chefs line's while cooking were a bit cheesy and the diners were unimpressed. Me and my girlfriend got a drink each as well as the dinner. Our bill was about $140. Expect to pay quite a bit here and leave with takeout every time

Food is as expected with Japanese hibachi. The filet was cooked perfectly to order. The scallops were fresh and tender without being gritty. Service was excellent. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our drinks server was over within minutes for our drink and food orders. Because of the hibachi style eating the food was fresh from the cooktop so no issues there. Standard hibachi tricks/entertainment. Ambience is upscale casual. It's very dark with classic Japanese touches here and there. Great place for families to come. Prices were on par with other hibachi establishments. I would come here again!

Average habachi. The fried rice was bland/ flavorless. Definitely recommend the habachi chicken. Steak and shrimp were not seasoned.

    How's the parking?

It is at Broadway at the Beach which is a very popular location. Last two visits this year, parking was easy. Give yourself time, you can always go to stores while you wait.

The owner stopped by our table multiple times. He and our waitress were so nice to our son, who I think was the only kid the in the restaurant. They explained how the food was made, making it overly clear how much care went in to everything they brought out. Their bruschetta bread and rolls are both made in house - and everyone loved them. I'm gluten free and they were able to accommodate with multiple multiple options. The menu had stars next to all the options they could make gluten free and it was SO NICE to have so many options. Even gf breaded chicken parm! I ended up trying the chicken fiorentina, which was excellent but am hopeful I can try the parm some day. Definitely go and meet them and have yourself a GREAT Italian dinner!!

Old school. Proper. The sort of spot where you mind your business and enjoy your meal, because whatever's going on across the room is none of your concern. They don't waste time getting you sorted either. Straight into it with a soup to start, name escapes me but I can still taste it clear as day. Silky, rich, proper comforting stuff. The kind that makes you stop mid sentence and give a little nod of approval. Then the homemade rolls arrive, warm, soft, and dangerously good. You tell yourself one and done, but let's be honest, that's never how it goes. For the entrée, I stayed loyal. Chicken Alfredo. My go to whenever I'm sizing up an Italian spot. And mate, this one delivered in full. Creamy without being over the top, seasoned just right, and put together like someone in the back takes real pride in what they're doing. No shortcuts, no funny business. The lady went for the trio, chicken, shrimp, veal, the full works. A confident order and she was well pleased, which tells you everything you need to know. Portion sizes? Exactly as they should be. Generous without being ridiculous. We gave it a proper go, waved the white flag halfway through, and still had a tidy bit left to take back to the condo. Arguably just as good the second time round. And then there's the service. Shoutout Sammi. Absolute star. Made a couple from Texas feel like regulars on their third visit. Attentive without hovering, sharp without being stiff. Just how it should be. Some places serve food. This place gives you a proper evening. Five stars. Locked in.

I was a bit skeptical because we passed it a few times on our way to different places in town, and from the outside you couldn't tell that it served upscale cuisine. But it had great reviews so we took a chance. Ambience: The inside was dimly lit with an old school feel. Reminds you of an old school New York establishment from the 80's. I liked it. It had a welcoming feel and I noticed there were at least two regulars the staff greeted. Food: We ordered an appetizer of calamari and the short ribs. Additionally, I was going to get the salmon but they had a special of red snapper with lump crabmeat, green beans and rice. The food was delicious. The calamari was one of the best I have ever tasted. The addition of the fried peppers complimented the dish well. They were nicely fried and seasoned. Very light crust which I love. Sadly I didn't get a chance to taste the short ribs because I was just too enthralled in my dish. The snapper was perfection! Everything on the plate paired well together. Also, if you're not going for an alcoholic beverage, their freshly squeezed lemonade is so refreshing. Service: I'm truly bad about remembering names and as is my usual, I don't recall the name of the waitress, but she was truly attentive and nice. She was also knowledgeable about the food and patient. Truthfully, all the waitstaff seemed genuinely kind towards the patrons, which was nice. If I am ever in the Myrtle Beach area again I will definitely be going back. Loved it!

We were a large party of 16+ people, and the table was all set up and good to go when we got there. If you have a large party like that, do call and make a reservation. Located in a strip mall on Surfside Beach/Myrtle Beach (it is on the border of the cities!), Valentino's is an Italian restaurant with lots of choices of pasta, chicken, seafood, and veal dishes. Best part is that an entree comes with either soup or salad. Our server was Corey, and he did really well with the large party and keeping us happy. We got some alcohol such as wine, beers, and liquor, and water of course. Corey also refilled our waters well and constantly. For apps, we got 2 fried calamari, 2 eggplant rolenti, and 2 stuffed mushrooms. The Calamari was tender and enjoyable! For entree, I ordered Lingini with clams in a red sauce with pasta fagoli! others ordered chicken or veal saltimoboka, as well as marsala, and some specials. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, and some even took leftovers home as well. I know I definitely enjoyed my clams and lingini! pasta was cooked aldente and enjoyable!
