Local ramen place was pretty good. To be fair to EP, this is the first ramen place we tried since the move. It very close to our house and convenient. We had to wait to sit down, but not for too long. We were seated and quickly ordered our drinks. They have a kids menu. My daughter was all about her Japanese soda. I was pleased to see they had Shiner on tap. They have something on their menu, like a ramen and app for $20. The various usual ramen broths are available, with your choice of protein (chicken, pork, tofu). They also have a variety of apps, such as edamame, spicy chicken bun, pork belly bun. I tried the Spicy Shoyu ramen. It was a bit watery for my taste, and maybe light on the toppers. The size of the bowl was generous. Liz's The spicy chicken sandwich was very good though. Great service from Alexa G. She was there anytime we needed anything. Her and the rest of the team made sure we got our food quickly. The place was full from the moment we arrived in the early evening until we left and there were folks waiting outside. They might do their customers a solid by placing benches (and umbrellas) out there. Inside the restaurant they had booths and bench seating combined with table and chairs. I ordered the spicy ramen with chicken, and I forgot the name. But the ramen was really good. For my drink, I ordered matcha tea. If you want something bland, then it's no issue ordering this. This ramen is great. It has a great veggie to meat ratio and lots of great broth. I got the shoyu on fire and well it's actually on fire but in a good way. They're $20 combo is awesome because all their apps are delicious. The waitress was quick and to the point. All of it was very delicious, The pickled onions in the pork bun really set it off, Gyoza was very flavorful, you could actually taste the ingredients inside the gyoza where at some other places all you taste is a generic mush with thoughts of pork flavoring, not the case here. Shoyu on Fire ramen (chicken) was delicious, very filling - got the medium spice level and it still had quite the kick to it, heat had my nose running but the flavor in the broth was so good I couldn't stop slurping it down. I visited SilverRamen after church, and when I entered the restaurant, I thought it was a fast food place, but no, it was a sit-in restaurant, and they serve hot sake. The servings are generous and are served on beautiful plates. I had the truffle ramen with chicken. I didn't love the chicken, but the ramen was gold. Their parking lot is ample, and they accept cash and credit cards. I enjoyed their cute ice cream cookie dessert. It's an excellent place to visit if you are craving carbs. read more

I love their lunch combo special for $20. You get an appetizer a pre selected Ramen bowls. I have tried the fried gyoza and Blaze Ramen twice and I am hooked. The gyozas are the best I have ever had. Always fresh and the filling is so flavorful and fried to perfection. The broth is creamy and the soup is hearty and satisfying. It's spacious on the inside and the decor is fun and catchy. I had the Japanese Karrage Chicken; triple fried so its extra crispy yet juicy chicken pieces. Steamed white rice, green onions and pickled ginger to garnish. Eel, soy sauce and a spicy creamy sauce that I don't recall. This dish hit every zone in your pallet with umami. Ever take a bite of something that is so good, things go quiet? Thats what the first bite did. It's a healthy helping and I wanted another bowl. Highly recommend. My gf had their Garlic Truffle Ramen. It looked and smelled amazing. Thick noodles with a soft boiled egg, fried pork belly and a side of chili paste that was pretty strong by its self. (PSA don't try the paste by its self, learn from my mistake). As an appetizer, we shared the crispy chicken karaage, described as "Japanese-style fried chicken and spicy aioli." The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the aioli complimented it perfectly. We both ordered the Garlic Truffle ramen, consisting of "a blend of creamy pork and vegetable broth, garlic, truffle oil, kale, mushrooms, black pepper, seaweed, & seasoned egg served with thick noodles," and added pork as our protein. It was so good - the broth was rich and flavorful, and I really appreciated how unique the flavor was. With the broth being so heavy I was unable to finish mine, but it made great leftovers. This place is doing excellent carry out for those who are avoiding dine in right now! I'll say for a ramen place, it's pretty decent. Everything was fresh, hot, and only took about twenty minutes to come out. Definitely order the Gyozas and edamame for an appetizer! They have a few different types of ramen, not a huge selection, and a few non ramen options (see the rice bowl! My kids loved it, it's pretty big too so the two of them split it). It's a bit expensive, though, for what you get. Also the staff seems super overwhelmed and everyone is sitting on top of each other, but outside of these issues - we really like this place! STAY AWAY !!! My experience at Silver Lake Ramen was beyond disappointing and shocking. I was visiting from out of town with a potential business partner and decided on a casual ramen place to meet. The problems began right when I arrived; I spotted a small mouse running behind the beer refrigerator but was too embarrassed to suggest leaving to my colleague. We decided to stay and were seated, but my visit to the restroom revealed cockroach activity around the stall and sink which left me thoroughly disgusted. While our waiter was pleasant, the owner's behavior was a disgrace to his staff. They were out of half the beer options, which showed a lack of proper planning. The edamame was a silver lining, as it was good but it was down hill after that. the ramen was a mixed bag. One bowl was passable with what tasted to be frozen broth and most definitely frozen noodles but the garlic-infused one was revolting the pork belly tasted foul, the broth as if it was two weeks old and pulled out of a public toilet and outright sicking. When we brought this to our waiter's attention, she was kind and took it up with the owner, Andrew. (Keep in mind we took one bite before speaking to our waiter when the owner came out Instead of attempting to resolving the issue, he embarrassed and insulted me saying I must not know what truffles are , I consume fresh white truffles regularly at the top steakhouses and fine establishments nationwide not truffle oil imitation what he later admitted to using however unfortunately it did not stop there he not only did not offer a replacement or any kind of solution he raised his voice and refused to make amends, even going as far as getting confrontational with my colleague and making threats and wanting to fight him when he was questioned on how his approach was a appropriate way of treating guests. I was shocked and embarrassed by this unprofessional encounter. The owner's erratic behavior suggested he might have been drinking heavily he was shaking the entire time and mumbling his words while he was yelling at us as if he was drinking since 8am, and he even threatened to call the police if I didn't pay the bill in full which embarrassed me to the tenth degree, the patrons next to me that had just sat down got up and left immediately. I was never looking to not pay the bill I just wanted my meal to be prepared correctly as if that was too much to ask for. To make matters worse, they charged my credit card twice for different amounts. I immediately disputed the charges with AMEX. Fortunately I left the waiter a cash tip so I could make sure she was taken care of, when I briefly spoke to another waiter there how I couldn't believe what just happened when I was leaving he turned around apologized to me and told me and I quote "what do you expect this place is ran by a raging alcoholic but I'm stuck here because I have bills to pay" This "restaurant" is one to steer clear of at all costs. My thoughts are with the team members that have to take this abuse from management . I'm Hoping they can find a better place of employment soon and I'm certain El Paso health department will be sending an inspector soon. I would rather have top ramen noodles like my college days before I step foot in this place again and I suggest nobody else does either. read more

The portion for this one was quite enough and even had some left to share. The vegeterian options they have are very limited but were good in taste. The boba tea they offer comes in a can which was something new and unexpected when ordered. The employees were nice and patient. It was a busy day and we got seated right away which was nice. There's definitely some good tasting ramen here! Yum! I wanted to check out this spot since they first opened a month or so ago. I'm glad I finally got to go! Silverlake is originally from the Los Angeles area. It's awesome that they chose to open a spot in El Paso. I placed a takeout order on Yelp. They also deliver but it costs $5.49. You get a free soda when you check in on Yelp. I live for spicy food so I tried their Shoyu on Fire ramen. There are three levels of spiciness for this entree. I chose medium and it was perfect. The heat was just right for me. The ramen included chicken, corn, lime, half of an egg and jalapeno. You can add more of the other items or pork instead for an additional fee (around $1.50 and up per item). It was plenty for me and I hadn't added anything extra. I asked for no onions but unfortunately they were there! I took them out. The entree was very filling. I had it for lunch and didn't eat dinner. I had a little snack but I was full most of the day. I also ordered a spicy chicken bun with no onions. It had onions! I was able to take them out. The chicken was definitely spicy. The bun was alright but definitely not as good as the ramen. It was also pretty tiny for $4. I let my bf take a bite and he liked it. He said it had a spicy kick to it. He got veggie ramen. He said it was alright but wasn't that impressed like how I was impressed with mine. I also got a Ramune soda in peach flavor. It was good! It took me down memory lane. This is the second time I have ordered from Silver lake Ramen and I am not disappointed. The food portions are plentiful- and as you can see, my eyes are bigger than my stomach. It's all ok because I will have lunch for the week! Their noodle bowls are amazingly packed in a dry container with a sizable portion of noodles, topped with a protein or two, sprouts, shoots and whatever else you add on. In a separate container is the rich broth that you pour over the ingredients in your bowl...these folks understand the rudimentary principles of noodles (pasta) you don't let the noodles sit in the broth because they will become "mushat" or a mushy mess. T is like when you make a soup I. The crock pot with pasta- the pasta gets swollen and no longer has a good pasta texture. I give these folks five stars because the obviously care about their food taste and texture even when it is going out as a delivery order.
