Well the hype of the "NEW" Yamhill bar and grill has quickly been deflated! Huge let down. Same old bar, same Poor service and shitty attitudes. Two servers that make the grade are Tracy Lynne and Tara Shchumacher. Those two care about the customers. Always greet people with a hello and a smile. Excellent food and service. We will be back for sure. The atmosphere in the restaurant side of the business lacks a restaurant atmosphere and there are too many TVs. Those fit nicely in a bar but not in a restaurant. For this reason it won't be a place where we take friends and family out to dinner. read more

After our last visit at this restaurant I swore I would never go back. Horrible service, food nothing like we asked for (med rare steak, and almost raw), and nobody came back to the table after we ordered. We went tonight because it was our neighbors b'day, and she loves the prime rib. I had a brisket sandwich and dinner salad as my side. The lettuce was old and brown! I throw lettuce like that away at home. The drinks were good, and they didn't cheap out on the booze! The portions were generous. Just returned from enjoying an incredible lunch at the Yamhill bar and Grill in Yamhill Oregon. The food was absolutely delicious and there was a lot of it. The service was refreshing. Those working actually cared about their job and the fact that we chose this establishment to eat lunch at. The chef is a master. Fiancee and I were wine tasting in the area and quickly realized we needed food. I ordered the mushroom swiss burger and he went with the bacon cheeseburger. Both with tots (the superior potato side in our opinion). After placing the phone order for take out, pick up was quick, easy, and socially distanced. We visited 3/17/24 & sat outside with some friends that were already there. It took some time to get a server but I don't know how busy it was inside. When the server did finally arrive, she didn't know what she had on tap. So we all just ordered corona in the bottle. After we started to order we were informed they were out of chicken, which eliminated a lot of items on the menu so we had to scramble to choose something else. Our friend's ordered a corn dog for their daughter, we were again informed they were out of corn dogs. I ordered the nachos with one of the other meat options other than chicken, they were out of that as well. So I went with the nachos with the pulled pork. My husband ordered the same thing. What we got seemed like a tray with an entire bag of chips on it, a handful of cheese, pulled pork (which was good!) and white kidney beans (I would think black beans for nachos) and a dollop of guacamole that was tinged brown. When the server came to gather our trays we said we could have shared a plate and she said "I was going to mention that when you ordered". Nachos should be cheesy!!! All the chips should be covered with some of the ingredients. The beer was cold and the outdoor seating was nice. But I doubt we will be back. read more

Very disappointed from the moment we walked in. The waitress passed us three times and never acknowledged us. Only had two tables of customers at 11:30 am. When she finally did acknowledge us she said in a condescending voice sit anywhere. Not hi, glad you're here, welcome, nothing. Breakfast cuts off at 11 even on a Saturday and Sunday. This one small town bar is the haven of Yamhill. If you want a friend for a waitress, you've got one! If you want solid food for just $10 your family of 3 can eat for $30. We've been coming here for a number of years and its been fine for a burger fix. Since ownership changed the food has improved immensely. We come on Thursday nights about every week and Ive switched up and have been getting their special of the night. Last nigjt was Shrip and tomatoe with basil with potatoe agratin with celery root. WOW it was so good. A couple of weeks ago was a nice NY steak with cauliflower puree and celery root like mash potatoes that too was fantastic. read more

Four of us ate there last night, 7/17/22, and without a doubt it was the best burger we've had in a long, long time (two burgers were ordered). The clam chowder was excellent, the best so far! And the Ruben was fabulous!! Our lady server, Ashley I believe was her name, was wonderful, very pleasant, polite, courteous, delightful and pretty darn cute!! She's really on top of her game and knows how to mix a drink!! You could tell all the patrons love her too. Excellent Service. The menu is fresh and delicious. As far as the portions, well, you will either go away extremely full, or you will take with you a box of leftovers. The RibEye is the very best I ever had, and it comes with a salad, with mini assorted leaves, also consists of a variety of fresh vegetables, unlike other restaurants who serve you a bed of iceberg. Can't tell you how amazing the loaded potato is...because it's that great...and finally you have your perfectly steamed vegetable, I always choose broccoli, and you get a choice of bread. The price is a bit high, but I am willing to pay it, as the steak is incredible, the service is worth it, and supporting the local community members is important to me. I order the steak enough, I think there should be a frequent "flyer" discount. After 5, you get the 6th free? lol The previous owners of the restaurant were like family, and the new owners, now, of the Yamhill Bar & Grill are following in some pretty great footsteps...they are following well! We prayed for all prior to the buyout, and will continue to pray for all to prosper. Our family doesn't mind the new tables. We don't need to be fancy, and tablecloths are not necessary, as this is our opinion. We appreciate the slight change, but are happy to see that the same warm country atmosphere still exists. read more

My family and I went here tonight and had the worst service ever. It was my first time going but my parents have been going for years and will not be going back. The waitress was rude and made the whole experience so uncomfortable that we rushed through our meal to gtfo of there. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

Been coming here for awhile. Use to be our favorite spot once a week. Food is pretty good except when the new owners took over they changed the fries. Don't care for the new ones at all. They are very hard and crunchy. Owner told us they would probably go back to the original ones, but went back last week and was told they are staying with the new ones. I know it may be picky, but we do love our fries. So when we want our BLT fix we will come back but not as often. Inside the restaurant use to feel so cozy and inviting, now not so much. No table clothes like there use to be, and added black tables and chairs. Not very inviting. read more
